TheGlobe (Internetportal) war bei Ihrem IPO an der Nasdaq einer der grössten Highflyer aller Zeiten (ca. +700% am ersten Tag), seitdem geht`s eigentlich nur abwärts. Am besten ist es, einfach mal reinzuschauen (www.theglobe.com). Viel ist aber nicht geboten, einfach nur ein 08/15 Portal wie FortuneCity etc. M.M. kein echtes Potential erkennbar.

NEW YORK, July 17 (Reuters) - Online services firm Theglobe.com Inc. <TGLO.O> said Monday it named Charles Peck as chief executive officer effective Aug. 1.
Peck takes the office vacated by company founders Todd Krizelman and Stephan Paternot, who remain major shareholders and co-vice chairmen of the board.
Before Theglobe.com, Peck worked with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as senior vice president of marketing, product and organisational development.
Prior to that, he headed up marketing and sales for business units of Simon & Schuster, a division of Viacom Inc. <VIA.N>, Theglobe.com said.
"Chuck Peck is an action, performance-oriented executive with a proven record of delivering profits within advertising-based business models," said Michael Egan, company chairman.
