Hallo Guru-Schreck,

F5 Networks Named One of Washington`s Fastest Growing Technology Companies in Deloitte & Touche `Fast 50 Rising Star` Category
No. 4 ranking attributed to F5`s 2,116% three-year revenue growth
SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 26, 2001-- F5 Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq:FFIV - news), the leading provider of Internet Traffic and Content Management (iTCM) products, today announced that it was ranked No. 4 in the ``Rising Star`` category of Deloitte & Touche`s prestigious ``Fast 50`` Program, a listing of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in Washington State.
Rising Star rankings are based on three-year percentage revenue growth from 1998 to 2000. F5 Networks` sales have grown from $4.9 million in fiscal year 1998 to $108.6 million, for the most recent fiscal year ended September 30, 2000. This reflects 2,116% revenue growth during this period.
``Receiving this elite recognition from Deloitte & Touche amongst so many innovative and successful companies in the technology sector is quite an honor,`` said John McAdam, president and CEO of F5 Networks. ``F5`s significant growth over the years directly reflects our successful market penetration worldwide and the fact that our performance-leading iTCM solutions have become a strategic and vital component for deploying any business-critical IP-based network.``
``To make the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 50, companies must have tremendous revenue growth in 2000,`` said Larry Hile, partner for Deloitte & Touche. ``It`s one thing to succeed when the economy is good, and another when it`s a tough market. Companies that excelled in 2000 had leaders with the vision and agility to succeed while others struggled to survive. We at Deloitte & Touche applaud F5 Networks for succeeding where others did not and for having the long-term vision to develop technologies and products that change the way we work.``
Deloitte & Touche Rising Stars-Five Fast-Growth Companies Honored
As an accompaniment to the Fast 50, Deloitte & Touche also honors five ``Rising Star`` companies in Washington State. Rising Star rankings are based on three-year percentage revenue growth from 1998 to 2000. Further details on Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 50 can be found at www.fast50.com.
