eSpeed, Inc. Announces Additional Product and Services Offerings
NEW YORK, Jan. 24 /PRNewswire/ eSpeed, Inc. (Nasdaq: ESPD - news), a leading provider of real-time business-to-business electronic marketplaces, today announced that it has added four new financial product segments -- US Government Repurchase Agreements (``US Government Repos``), US Government Agency Securities, Canadian Government Bonds, and Canadian Government Repurchase Agreements (``Canadian Government Repos``) -- to its fully electronic trading platform. eSpeed also announced that the Commodity Futures Trading Commission has approved full ``order book`` capabilities for the Cantor Exchange, including stop limit orders, ``market-if-touched`` orders and the ability to buy or sell through the bid/offer stack, expanding its suite of marketplace tools.
eSpeed currently operates fully electronic trading marketplaces for the following fixed income financial product segments: US Government Treasury Securities, US Government Treasury Futures, German Government Bonds (Bunds), Italian Government Bonds (BTPs), French Government Bonds (OATs), Emerging Market Government Bonds/Brady Bonds, Eastern European Government Bonds, UK Gilts, and US Municipal Bonds.
``We are adding products and services around the globe almost weekly,`` said Frederick T. Varacchi, President of eSpeed. ``By the end of 2000, we expect over 40 financial product segments will be trading fully electronically over eSpeed. But financials are only part of the picture,`` added Mr. Varacchi. ``We are aggressively going after business-to-business vertical markets like electricity, bandwidth, chemicals-anything that can be traded. Our interactive electronic trading platform is an end-to-end infrastructure solution which can be harnessed to add real-time trading, futures and options capabilities to any vertical marketplace.``
eSpeed`s unique interactive electronic trading platform facilitates the buying and selling of virtually any commodity-like product -- from bonds to electricity. eSpeed provides the technology backbone for Cantor Fitzgerald, L.P., operator of the world`s largest wholesale securities marketplace, and for the Cantor Exchange (CX), the first fully electronic futures exchange in the United States (CX is also approved for operation in the United Kingdom, Germany and France). Over 500 institutions across the globe, including the 25 largest bond trading firms in the world, rely on eSpeed`s technology to transact over $150 billion of financial instruments daily.

Hat jemand ein Kursziel ausser den bekannten 60 Euro.
Ja, wechselt immer mal schön hin und
her, hab ich auch mal gemacht und Espeed,
als hier euphorisch berichtet wurde
gekauft. Um sie einige Wochen später
mit 25% Verlust zu verkaufen. Na ja
Upgrade hat es wieder reingeholt. Ist bei
weitem nicht so volatil wie Espeed:
Die steigen hoch. Und fallen ebenso
tief. Jedenfalls bisher (ja ich
weiß, das ändert sich jetzt )
