LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 16, 2005--MB Tech (OTC BB:MBTT)has recently made important development breakthroughs with its siliconchip-based phased-array antenna system with its partner Teltron. Theproduct will allow for mobile in-motion use for DBS (Direct BroadcastSatellite) services in vehicles such as SUVs, limousines, and RVs.
The new silicon chip-based phased shift array antenna willultimately have the ability to fit in the roof lining of an SUVwhereas many other systems are anywhere from 9 inches to 2 feet riseabove the roof line and are of far greater cost to the consumer. Bothof these factors pose barriers to entering the mass consumer marketaccording to Hanwook Bae, president of MB Tech.
"Our Faserwave line of products starting with the auto positioningportable flat antenna (stationary) and the future phased shift arrayantenna system utilizing nanotechnology are geared toward the massmarket through innovation and price performance," stated Hanwook Bae.
This important advancement in nanotechnology is also attractivefor military applications.
The phased-array antenna has been tested successfully in a 3-inchheight and will now be reduced to a 1-inch height with itscomplementary components. In this revised stature, the full satellitereceiver complement is reduced in height and weight (a goal ofnanotechnology), allowing for flexibility, portability, and tacticalsurface mobility.
