Company Profile



Netas was established in 1967 as a joint venture company between Turkish PTT, now Turk Telekom and Northern Telecom Limited (Nortel Networks) of Canada with the aim of supplying Turkey with locally produced telecommunications equipment. Currently, 29.21% of Netas shares are traded in the Istanbul Stock Exchange, and the major shareholders are Nortel Networks (53.13%) and the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation (15%). Netas develops, manufactures and delivers, public switching, business communications, data networks, transmission and power systems, terminal equipment, wireless, cellular networks. The company helps customers to design, operate and market network services followed by on-line technical assistance throughout Turkey and other countries in Europe, the Middle East, CIS and Africa.
Netas has played an important role in the establishment of the telecommunications infrastructure in Turkey by providing approximately 10 million lines of switching equipment as well as transmission and datacom systems to Turk Telekom. In the private communications market Netas has the largest share with a customer base of 35,000 in various sectors. The company also provides total solutions to the Turkish Armed Forces with long-term development contracts.

Netas has developed into a technology exporting company through the years, due to the proven capability of its R&D group to design new and highly competitive products with the use of the state of art technology. Netas employs over 300 engineers at its R&D organization and allocates 6-9% of its annual revenues to R&D activities. The software exported by Netas R&D has reached US $ 10 Million in 1998.

Netas receives 2 Million $ order from Russia
Netas has received an order for DMS and DRX-4 digital telephone switches from the enterprise VPI (Vneshprominvest) associated with the Ministry of Atom Energy of the Russian Federation, amounting to 2 Million $. Within the framework of the telecommunication project financed by Turk Eximbank which was signed the previous year, Netas, besides direct sales, provides know-how and technology transfer to the Russian Federation on telecommunication field for domestic production. This order which is now received is anticipated to be delivered until the end of the year.

In 1995 Netas established Ron Telekom joint venture company in Chelyabinsk district of the Russian Federation. Netas-designed switching and transmission systems successfully serve in many districts, including Moscow.

Netas won Turk Telekom Switching Tender
The tender opened by the Türk Telekom to expand the national communication network is awarded to Netas together with 3 other companies. The contract value is approximately US 266 B$ over the next two years.

According to the agreement between Türk Telekom and Netas 46 new switches and some expantions will be provided. Over 760.000 digital telephone lines, 290.000 trunks, No7 signalling systems, ISDN services and related equipment will be delivered to Türk Telekom.

SIND GUT GESTIEGEN ODER,komisch keiner interesiert sich für netas

Hallo Panik,

Du bist nicht ganz alleine. Ich finde Netas durchaus interessant und vor einiger Zeit zum Kurs von 0,14 eingestiegen.

In den letzten Tagen hat jemand namens "papillonsen" unter diversen ID´s einen ganzen Haufen Threads zum Thema Netas eröffnet und wild gepusht.
Dort habe ich mich ab und an mal geäußert, der Typ ist aber nicht an einer ernsthaften Diskussion interessiert.

Zur Zeit beschäftigen mich zwei Fragen:
a) gibt es einen Grund für den momentanen Kursanstieg?
Die Homepage ist mit News ja nicht sehr freigiebig.

b) Wo kann man die Istanbuler Kurse verfolgen? Unter Datascope, die eh recht unübersichtlich sind finde ich die letzten türkischen Kurse vom 10.03!!??

Vielleicht hast Du eine Antwort, wäre fein.

Hallo Georgina,

1.)Ich habe nicht gepusht sondern wollte nur auf diese Aktie hinweisen und das ist doch wohl noch erlaubt.
2.) Da der letzte Handelstag in der Tuerkei der 10.03. war (danach war die Boerse aufgrund von moslemischen Feiertagen geschlossen) ist bei datascope der Kurs vom 10.03. drinnen. Morgen (MON, 20.03.00) ist wieder ein normaler Handelstag in Istanbul.
3.) Denke dasz auf der Homepage genug profunde Infos sind und das zukuenftige Potential erahnen lassen. Als Anleger muszt Du Informationen auch selber interpretieren koennen und kannst nicht erwatrten, dasz Dir alles aufbereitet wird. Die Zukunftsperspektiven von Netas sind ein Grund fuer die Kursanstiege. Der andere Grund ist (und das ist keine Pusherei sondern eine Info) dasz dzt. institutionelle Anleger vermehrt in Netas einsteigen und diese info wollte ich mit den mehrfachen postings moeglichst vielen Anlegern zukommen lassen, da es ja irgendwie interessant ist. Oder ?
4.) Warum hast Du in Netas investiert ? Weil Du auch an Kursanstiege und diese Firma glaubst und stelle jetzt die Kursanstege bitte nicht in Frage, denn damit wiedersprichst Du Dir ja selber.
5.) Bin an ernsthaften Diskussionen sehr wohl interessiert, aber nicht wenn Du Fakten und Informationen mit Pushen verwechselst und wenn Du Hinweise und links nicht dementsprechend interpretieren kannst, dann habe ich keine Lust zum diskutieren. Wenn Du z.B. glaubst so gut informiert zu sein, wieso hast Du nichts von der handelsfreien Woche in Istanbul gewuszt. Ich selber wuszte es auch nicht, habe mich informiert und vorher den Mund gehalten.
6.) Habe nicht unter verschiedenen "ID`s" gepostet sondern immer nur unter papillonsen. Unterstelle anderen bitte nicht Dinge, die nicht der Wahrheit entsprechen.

Ich finde es nach wie vor etwas schwierig über Netas Infos zu finden.
In diesem Artikel ist das Unternehmen wenigstens mal erwähnt.
Klingt nun gar nicht mal so schlecht...



Marktbericht Türkei


Die Faktoren, welche die Entwicklung der Instabuler Börse im September beeinflußt hätten, wären die Verzögerung in der Privatisierung der Türk Telekom und der Staatsbanken, der Anstieg der Zinssätze sowie die Verschiebung des Besuches der internationalen Ratingagentur Moodys gewesen, berichtet Ceros Financial Services AG in einem Bericht zu Ihrem Fonds Türkei 75 Plus (WKN 989402). Das Ziel des Fonds wäre die Erzielung eines langfristigen, überdurchschnittlichen Wertzuwachses mit Anlagen im türkischen Wirtschaftsraum. Der Fonds dürfte sich für chancenorientierte Anleger eignen.

Nach Ansicht der Analysten von Ceros dürfte die Frage um die Schließung der Tugendpartei im Oktober, die als sehr unwahrscheinlich angesehen würde, sowie die Veröffentlichung der Budgetzahlen für 2001 die Marktentwicklung beeinflussen. Maßgebend für die weitere Richtung wären auch die Resultate aus dem Besuch der Vertreter des IWF und von Moodys, die weitere Entwicklung bei der Privatisierung der Türk Telekom und der Staatsbanken.

Gegen Monatsende sei der Aktienanteil im Portfolio aufgrund der attraktiven Bewertung des Marktes auf 90,41 Prozent erhöht worden. Positionen in Kordosa und Net Holding wären geschlossen worden und bei Trakya Cam und Tansas eröffnet worden. Weiterhin seien die Anteile an Yapi Kredi, Tofas Oto Fabrika, Dogan Yayin, Koc, Sabanci, Alcatel, Turkcell und Hürriyet erhöht worden. Die Aktie mit dem niedrigsten Wertverlust im Monat September sei Netas gewesen. Die Produktpalette von Netas würde die Produktion von Telekommunikationssystemen und -geräten, so wie deren Wartung und Montage umfassen. An dem Unternehmen wäre die kanadische Nortel Networks mit 53 Prozent beteiligt. Der größte Kunde von Netas wäre Türk Telekom, welches in diesem Jahr das Investitionsbudget verdoppeln würde. Daher dürfte Netas neben den Investitionen im Festnetzbereich auch von dem Boom im Iternetbereich profitieren aber auch vom Export seiner Produkte. Weiterhin dürfte die Privatisierung der neuen Mobilfunklizenzen der Türk Telekom ebenfalls von großer Bedeutung für das Geschäft sein.
