      Hallo zusammen!

      Umsatz in Millionen US: 78,851 / 127,567
      Nettogewinn in Millionen US: 14,251 / 18,212
      beförderte Passagiere in Millionen: 0,7375 / 1,217
      transportierte Fracht in Tonnen: 69142 / 121000

      Kürzel in Moskau: TMAT
WKN in Deutschland: 914632 (Kauf am Besten in EDB-Berlin)
1 ADR sind gleich 100 Aktien
      Kurs der Aktie in Rußland 12.09.2003: 0.065 / 0.08 US$
letzter Umsatz allerdings irgendwann im Juni!
Kurs der Aktie in Deutschland 12.09.2003: 5,80 Euro
letzter Umsatz allerdings am 11.09.2003 zu 6,70 Euro

      Homepage der Gesellschaft: http://utair.lgg.ru

Aktien gibt es: 577.208.000 davon 3% als ADR (1:100
Ergibt eine Marktkapitalisierung von: 38,6 Millionen Euro
(hab mal nen Kurs von 6,70 angesetzt)
denkt dran Gewinn 2001: 18,2 Millionen Dollar!

bald wieder in positiveren Zahlen ausdrücken.

22.08.2003: Utair double net Profit 2003

30.09.2003: Utair wins to render Transport Services to UN

Schlusskurse also ohne Umsätze gestellt.

Die Marktkapitalisierung beträgt lächerliche 35 Mio US$.

UTAIR MAKES FIRST REGULAR INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT FROM KHANTY-MANSIYSK AIRPORT

      10.09.2004

Surgut. On Thursday, September 9, UTair Aviation made the first regular international flight from the airport of Khanty-Mansiysk, the capital of Yugra, to Kiev (Flight No. TP 747).

The ceremony of opening the new route was attended by Vasiliy Sondykov, the chairman of the Duma of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area, Zinaida Sakhautdinova, the director of the Department of Foreign Economic Relations of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area, Vladimir Zhuravlyov, the director of the Transport and Communications Department of Yugra, Andrey Martirosov, the general director of UTair, and Anatoly Tulinov, the general director of the Khanty-Mansiysk Airport.

In the opinion of Vasiliy Sondykov, the speaker of the Duma of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area, the opening of the first regular international route from the airport of the capital of Yugra to Ukraine is not by chance.

“Over 200,000 Ukrainians live in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area now. Obviously, communications with that country are necessary, because we have good neighborly relations,” the chairman of the Duma of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area underlined.

As UTair General Director Andrey Martirosov pointed out at the opening ceremony, “certainly, this is just the beginning.”

“In my view, the prospects for the international sector in Khanty-Mansiysk are rather good. We will build a convenient network of routes for the residents of the city and the autonomous area, which can be used for making convenient connections here and making international departures from here. In think, a very big step forward has been made,” the chief executive of the airline declared.

There were 11 people on the first flight to the capital of Ukraine.

“We believe that it is not bad to have 11 people on the first flight. This indicates a big potential for this route, and I think we will see this route profitable rather soon, and therefore we are optimistic,” Andrey Martirosov stated.

Additionally, according to him, flights to Azerbaijan, Turkey, Bulgaria and some other countries will be carried out from the Khanty-Mansiysk Airport in the future.

UTAIR AVIATION INCLUDED ON RATING OF RUSSIA’S 100 LARGEST COMPANIES

      01.10.2004

Khanty-Mansiysk – Based on the results of 2003 UTair Aviation JSC was included on the rating Russia’s 100 Largest Companies prepared by the rating center AK&M and the magazine Kompaniya.

According to materials published in the magazine, the rating was calculated on the basis of 100 leading Russian companies that had the largest revenues and the highest number of the personnel in 2003.

To compose the rating AK&M specialists employed five parameters that defined a company’s weight in the country’s economy such as the amount of revenues, the volume of tax payments, the number of employees, a company’s share on the market and the volume of exports. Each parameter contributed to the rating score of each enterprise. The scores that a company had received were then totaled.

Thus, UTair Aviation was acknowledged as one of the major enterprises in the country, according to the results of its activities in 2003.

The rating table and a corresponding article were published in the September edition of the magazine Kompaniya.

UTAIR AVIATION INTRODUCES ‘ADDITIONAL FUEL CHARGE’

      01.11.2004

Khanty-Mansiysk – UTair Aviation (UTair Aviation, JSC) introduced a so-called ‘additional fuel charge’ on November 1 on all its flights that will be implemented according to the winter schedule. This extra charge is from $10 to $15 per passenger ticket depending on the flight time.

In particular, a ticket for a flight that lasts less than 2 hours is to cost $10 more and an additional $15 for a 2 to 4 hour flight.

UTair General Director Andrey Martirosov stressed that the only reason for the introduction of the ‘additional fuel charge’ was a very high and steadily advance in oil and oil product prices.

“This obviously results in a constant growth in prices for aviation fuel and air carriers have to offset the losses sustained. It is impossible to retain current prices further at the cost of internal resources,” he stressed.

It should be noted that UTair Aviation has been the last among Russia`s major air carriers to announce the introduction of these measures. Moreover, UTair has not increased the prices of air tickets this year, despite growth in prices on oil products.

      For reference:
Aviation fuel prices have surged by more than 40 percent since the beginning of 2004 and currently the share of fuel and lubricants in the structure of the airline’s tariff is about 35 to 40 percent.

EXPERT RA CONFIRMS UTAIR` S CORPORATE GOVERNANCE RATING AT B ++

      01.03.2005

Khanty-Mansiysk – Expert RA has confirmed UTair Aviation’s corporate governance rating at B++ for 2004.

Objective independent analysis of corporate governance systems at Russian airlines, including UTair, has been conducted as part of the Corporate Governance Rating project.

Assessment of corporate governance quality by members of the consortium comprises independent expert analysis of the conformity of Russian companies with internationally recognized corporate governance standards, with regard to the protection of shareholders’ rights, work of management and control bodies, disclosure of information, and non-infringement of the interests of other interested parties in corporate relations.

The B++ rating assigned to UTair has put the airline on the list of the top twenty members of Russia’s business community with regard to this indicator. A company with such a high rating is safe for investors, and its business is open and transparent, the expert council has noted in its concluding report.

Presentation of the results of the National Corporate Governance Rating for 2004 was held at the conference hall of the Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange (MICEX) on February 24 of this year.

Every company on the rating list has received a certificate to confirm its current corporate governance level.

A full version of the rating list is published in “Expert” magazine on a biannual basis.

As reported earlier, the National Corporate Governance Rating, which is part of the “Improvement of Corporate Governance in Russia” project, is performed with the support of the National Council for Corporate Governance and the US Agency for International Development (USAID).

Khanty-Mansiysk – UTair Aviation (UTair Aviation, JSC) increased its number of transported passengers to 860,521 people in the first six months of 2005. Of that amount, 764,554 people were transported by the company’s airplanes, 20.6 percent up from the corresponding period in 2004.

It is worth mentioning that a drop in the passenger transportation growth pace this June against May was linked to several charter routes becoming regular flights.

The company’s passenger traffic grew 12.9 percent to 1.204bn passenger-kilometers in the first half of this year; its airplanes flew for 41,575 hours, 22 percent more than in the same period last year.

The volume of transported mail surged 33.5 percent in January to March 2005; cargo transportation advanced 13.5 percent. UTair’s helicopters flew for 21,983 hours in the period in question, 14.7 percent more than in the first half of 2004.

Speaking about the airline’s performance in January to June 2005, the company’s general director Andrey Martirosov said, “UTair is successfully solving the main strategic task to strengthen its leading position among major national companies working on the passenger transportation market.”

“Within our business plan for air transportation we have managed to advance more than 20 percent the number of transported passengers,” he added. “We have achieved this result through the expansion of our route network and attracting clients by offering them new products and high-quality service,” Martirosov emphasized.

UTAIR EXECUTIVE BOARD APPROVES BUSINESS PLAN FOR H1 2005

      11.08.2005

Khanty-Mansiysk – The executive board of UTair Aviation has considered operational results of the company for the first half of 2005. The company reported revenue of over RUR4.5bn — USD160m from the January to June period, up RUR1.3bn — around USD46m, or 43 percent, from the previous year. Passenger transportation contributed most of the revenue - 60 percent of its profit for the reported period. Revenue from helicopter operations in Russia and abroad contributed 11.1 percent and 20.5 percent, respectively. Aviation services accounted for the remaining part of profit.

The company has reported no significant changes in its spending structure. Aviation fuel and maintaining of airworthiness of the company’s fleet accounted for the most in UTair’s expenses of 40 percent.

In the reported period, the company enjoyed an operating surplus of RUR38m — USD1.35m.

UTair reported a net loss of RUR22m —USD785,000 for the first half of this year, outperforming the target set by the business plan, which predicted a loss of RUR201.7m —USD7.2m.

Assessing the company’s results for the first half of this year, its general director Andrey Martirosov said that passenger transportation had major impact on overall performance. “We have successfully cut the loss projected for the first half of this year thanks to the reworking of air routes. We have successfully boosted profit from helicopter operations both in Russia and abroad,” he said.

According to Martirosov, the company’s operations are influenced by seasonal factors and losses in the first half of a year and returning to profitable second half is a traditional phenomenon.

UTair’s general director stressed that the situation on the aviation market has remained difficult and that “we should continue to be diligent.”

According to the business plan adopted for 2005, the company targets net income of RUR113m —USD4.03m.

Khanty-Mansiysk, UTair Aviation (UTair Aviation, JSC), and Renaissance Capital commercial bank have signed a partnership agreement.

The document was signed at the International space and aviation show (MAKS-2005) on Thursday, August 18. Under the partnership program, UTair’s passengers will be able to buy tickets for the airline’s flights on credit through the company’s sales chain.

UTAIR TO BECOME MOSCOW AEROTAXI OPERATOR

      19.08.2005

Khanty-Mansiysk – UTair Aviation (UTair Aviation, JSC) will become a partner in the Moscow government’s Aerotaxi project.

The Moscow mayor’s aviation adviser, hero of the Soviet Union Valery Menitsky, announced the start of the Aerotaxi project at the MAKS-2005 air show. The air transportation project over Moscow, between the city’s airports and within a radius of up to 600 kilometers from Moscow will be carried out with the support of the Moscow government, UTair and Atlant-Soyuz airlines and in partnership with Vnukovo International Airport.

It is planned to utilize the terrestrial infrastructure within the Moscow ring road as well as airports in the Moscow aviation hub and neighboring cities. Short-haul aircraft and helicopters will be employed to operate in the project. The program’s participants will impose special requirements for the safety of aircraft and terrestrial infrastructure facilities.

Only Class A helicopters will fly over Moscow. These machines have an increased power-to-weight ratio and are capable of flying even in the event of failure of one of the engines.

It is not by chance that UTair has been chosen as a partner to the program: the airline is Russia’s largest helicopter operator and ranks among the world leaders in the industry.

In addition, UTair, together with the Atlant-Soyuz company, is the Moscow government’s main partner in the Vnukovo development project, and makes over 40 domestic and international flights from the airport daily.

      UTAIR STRENGTHENS ITS AIRPORT BASE

      13.09.2005

Khanty-Mansiysk – UTair Aviation (UTair Aviation, JSC) is strengthening its own airport base.

A reconstructed airstrip was opened in the airport in the city of Noyabrsk. The decision to renovate 2,540 meters of the airstrip was made in August last year. The repairs were done using a Swedish technology, under which the covering becomes firmer if used intensively.

This has been the first time in the history of Russian aviation that airport repair operations were financed by an airline. The cost totaled more than RUR140m (approx. USD4.9m).

This reconstruction has positively affected the stability of the Priobsk regional transportation system.

Today, the Noyabrsk airport is a federal air terminal capable of ensuring full aviation safety.

UTair Improves Performance in January-September, 2005

      03.11.2005

Khanty-Mansiysk – UTair Aviation JSC has had a regular board meeting to discuss business results in the first nine months of 2005 and the implementation of a business plan.

In January to September the company’s revenue topped RUR8.12bn (about USD281.9m), which represents an increase of 46% or RUR2.56bn (about USD88.9m) since 2004. Transportation of passengers generated more than 65% of the airline’s revenue. Helicopter operations abroad and in Russia accounted for 18% and 12% respectively. The rest of the revenue came from various aviation services provided by the airline.

The breakdown of the company’s expenditures did not see any substantial changes. The purchase of fuel and combustive materials as well as aircraft maintenance still require the greatest expenditure.

In January to September 2005, UTair reported operating profit worth RUR239.9m (about USD8.3m) and net profit worth RUR32.5m (about USD1.1m).

In general, the airline showed a better performance compared to the first three quarters of 2004 when it ended up with RUR234.5m (about USD8.1m) in losses.

The Board members welcomed the well-organized and active work of its team, amid the tough situation on the Russian aviation market, and resolved that with proper activities of all UTair’s managers the company has every chance of fulfilling the 2005 business plan and reporting RUR117.5m (about USD4.1m) in net profit by the year end.

      UTair INTRODUCES 2005 FALL-WINTER SCHEDULE

      08.11.2005

Khanty-Mansiysk – UTair Aviation (UTair Aviation JSC) has switched to the winter schedule as of October 30, 2005.

A new feature of the 2005 Fall-Winter season is an increased number of connecting flights, which allow passengers to fly to any destination on UTair’s map.

The following routes will be introduced by the airline: Kaliningrad-Baku, Moscow-Baku, Magnitogorsk-Khudzhant, Samara-Khudzhant and Orsk-Moscow. Alongside this, there will be more Kaliningrad-Moscow and St. Petersburg-Moscow flights, i.e. 2-3 per day.

In the new season, UTair is going to further develop transfer technologies in order to offer better ground services to its passengers. Among other things, such improvement of quality of service has become possible owing to interline agreements with other airline companies.

This is very convenient for transfer passengers: plane tickets are cheaper, and checked-in luggage is given to them at their final destination.

Transfer flight registration was introduced for passengers traveling from Tyumen to St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod and Kaliningrad via Moscow’s Vnukovo airport.

Passengers from Surgut and Khanty-Mansiysk will get to enjoy this service shortly as well. UTair expects further passenger traffic growth in the new season. According to preliminary estimates, it will have 1.9m passengers transported by the end of 2005.

On November 1, the airline introduced a new service for participants of the STATUS frequent flyer program. From now on, they can show their STATUS card and get a 10% discount in restaurants managed by UTair’s affiliate ZapSibCatering.

In addition, a new joint project with STATUS and the Yugorskaya Dolina (Yugorsk Valley) entertainment center in Khanty-Mansiysk is being prepared now. All its participants will be able to use their bonus points in Yugorskaya Dolina, when renting a hotel room, visiting the fitness center, etc. This will be just the beginning of a large-scale co-branding project for frequent passengers. At present, 56,000 people participate in the STATUS program, and 150 bonus tickets are issued every week.

It is worth mentioning that in the 2005 Fall-Winter season UTair will continue selling plane tickets on credit, a project that has been launched recently.

UTair’s passengers have an opportunity to obtain 10-month loans for RUR3,000-30,000 (about USD105-1,050) and buy plane tickets with a 10-percent initial payment.

Utair will nächstes Jahr 400Mill Rubel Nettogewinn erreichen, was 4 mal größer als 2005 sein soll.

TYUMEN AVIATORS CELEBRATE 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF MI-26T HELICOPTER OPERATIONS FOR NATIONAL ECONOMIC PURPOSES

      15.02.2006

Khanty-Mansiysk – UTair Aviation (UTair Aviation, JSC) is to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Mi-26T helicopter operations by the civil aviation industry of Russia.

Festivities will take place in Khanty-Mansiysk on February 18, 2006, involving veteran aviators, who gave birth to a unique helicopter, as well as representatives of the Mil aircraft design bureau, the Rostov helicopter plant, and Russian aviation officials.

The first Mi-26T arrived in Western Siberia to be used for national economic purposes in February 1986. Since then, UTair has retained its position as the leader of Mi-26T operations, with 19 helicopters.

At present, the airline uses Mi-26T helicopters primarily to serve the needs of the oil and gas industry in northern Siberia. Outside Russia the main client of UTair’s helicopter business is the United Nations organization. The contracts with the UN stipulate the use of Mi-26T helicopters to support peacekeeping missions, passenger and cargo transportation, and rescue works. In terms of the geography of the business, UTair’s helicopters operate across the African and Asian continents.

A note. The Mi-26T is the world’s largest heavy-lift helicopter capable of lifting cargo weighing up to 20 tons, either inside the cargo compartment or on an external sling, and transport them for distances of up to 800 kilometers. With maximum fuel load this helicopter can cover 1,800 kilometers.

In February 2006, the airline’s market capitalization exceeded $120m. The psychological benchmark of $100m was passed on the Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange (MICEX) on January 20, 2006.

During the whole of 2005, as well as in 2006, the company’s shares were booming. As of the beginning of 2005, the weighted average share price was RUR1.82, and by February 15, 2006 it had gone up to RUR5.88 per share.

UTair launches the ATR 42 in Russia following delivery of first two aircraft by ExelTech Aerospace

MONTREAL, March 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- In a small ceremony in Montreal, ExelTech Aerospace Inc. (TSX Venture: XLT), recently celebrated the handover of two ATR 42 regional turboprop aircraft to UTair (Nachrichten) Aviation, one of the fastest-growing private airlines in Russia.

UTair purchased the European-manufactured aircraft and then contracted ExelTech to perform heavy maintenance and to modify the aircraft for operation in Russia; and to provide support in the initial provisioning of spare parts and components.

"UTair selected ExelTech Aerospace after careful evaluation of MRO providers on two continents," commented Meiramkhan D. Bekmoukhanbetov, UTair`s Deputy General Director / Technical Director. "ExelTech came with an excellent reputation and a strong track record and has proven to be a world class maintenance facility. We are very happy with the support they have provided to us."

"We are delighted that UTair selected ExelTech to help them reach this important milestone," said Derek Nice, President and CEO of ExelTech Aerospace. "This is a strategic program for our customer, so we are very happy that we were chosen to play such a critical role." Mr. Nice pointed out that the success of this project is a direct reflection of the dedication and commitment made by ExelTech`s maintenance engineers and support staff. "Without a doubt, our technical team differentiates us in the marketplace."

One of Russia`s fastest growing airlines, UTair is listed on the Moscow RTS stock exchange and trades over the counter in New York, Frankfurt and Berlin. Today UTair carries more than 2 million passengers a year on domestic scheduled routes. Its helicopter operations range from Moscow and Siberia to Africa, South America and Canada. The ATRs will replace Antonov aircraft operating from UTair`s bases in Tyumen and Surgut, both in Western Siberia.

This is the second contract that ExelTech Aerospace has completed for a major Russian airline. In December 2005, ExelTech Aerospace delivered a Boeing 737-500 to Siberia Airlines after performing heavy maintenance, including a D check and modification work, at its Quebec City facility.

      Report: Putin Approves Airline Merger

      Combined Reports

      Marina Lyscva / Itar-Tass

An Il-86, operated by KrasAir, parked by the terminal at Domodedovo Airport. The state owns 51 percent in the carrier.

President Vladimir Putin has approved the creation of a second national airline by combining five companies including KrasAir, Vedomosti reported Thursday, citing unidentified government officials.

The government would have less than a controlling stake in the holding company, called AiRUnion, which would include KrasAir, Domodedovo Airlines, Omskavia, Samara and Sibaviatrans, the newspaper reported, citing officials from two ministries.

KrasAir general director Boris Abramovich and companies connected with him would own the largest stake in the new company, the newspaper said. Abramovich was the architect of the plan, which is still opposed by the Federal Property Fund, the newspaper said.

The government is pressing state-controlled Aeroflot, Russia's largest airline, to buy other carriers in the country to double in size and expedite the consolidation of the domestic industry, Alexander Lebedev, who owns 31 percent of Moscow-based Aeroflot, said in March. Aeroflot will vote on acquisitions at its June board meeting.

The state owns 51 percent in KrasAir, 50 percent in Domodedovo Airlines and 46.5 percent in Samara, while Abramov and the structures connected to him control around 40 percent in KrasAir, 48.6 percent in Domodedovo Airlines, around 40 percent in Samara, around 70 percent in Omskavia and 100 percent in Sibaviatrans, according to Vedomosti.

The airlines started operating as an alliance of independent legal entities in late 2004 and have operated flights under the AiRUnion brand since last June.

There are currently over 185 airlines operating in Russia, but they are increasingly struggling to turn a profit and consolidation is seen as a way to increase competitiveness.

Some analysts have said AiRUnion could eventually replace Sibir as the country's No. 2 carrier. Sibir's revenue is expected to reach $900 million this year, while Aeroflot is forecast to rake in $2.5 billion, Vedomosti said.

AiRUnion members will earn $700 million this year, said the paper, citing Oleg Sudakov, an analyst with Rye, Man & Gor Securities.

UTair SECOND IN RUSSIA FOR PASSENGER TRAFFIC

      19.05.2006

Khanty-Mansiysk – As of Q1 2006, UTair Aviation was ranked second in Russia for passenger traffic on domestic routes. This was announced by Sergei Ilyichyov, President of the Transport Clearing House, at a joint presentation workshop of UTair and the House. The presentation was attended by 18 Moscow’s largest air ticket agencies.

At the presentation, the airline’s specialists revealed UTair’s established structure, extended schedule for the spring and summer season, and its performance in 2005 and during the first months of 2006. The workshop focused on the STATUS incentive scheme for frequent passengers , adoption of the year-around Veteran offer (free flights for World War II veterans), implementation of partner co-branding agreements with hotels, and a system of ticket sales on credit.

      Note:
The Transport Clearing House is an operator selling transport services through a network of accredited agencies under standard transport documents, securing prompt settlements with airlines related to the transport services sold. The House has been helping its participants to streamline sales of air transport services, standardize techniques, generate reports and make settlements. At this point, around 130 air carries have resorted to the Transport Clearing House’s services for mutual settlements on scheduled domestic and international flights.

      UTair's HELICOPTER CONTRACTED IN CANADA

      19.05.2006

Khanty-Mansiysk – A Mi-26 helicopter of UTair Aviation has for the first time in history crossed the air space of North America bound for destinations in northern and western Canada. The flight from Tyumen to the point of destination over Eastern Siberia, Chukotka and Alaska lasted for 6 days.

UTair was contracted by Airborne Energy Solutions LTD (Canada) to render services delivering large cargo to oil and gas fields that are being explored or developed. The year-long contract states that the Mi-26 helicopter will be carrying cargo as an under-slung external load. The helicopter is stationed in the town of Yellowknife, and is already being used to fulfill the contract.

UTair is the world’s largest helicopter operator, with its helicopter fleet numbering 170 aircraft including over 20 Mi-26s. This aircraft is unique as it is the world’s only helicopter suitable for carrying a total load of up to 20 tonnes both under-slung and inside the cabin for a distance of up to 800 kilometers. As far as ferrying is concerned, the helicopter can fly 1,800 kilometers without refueling stops.

UTair to increase net profit

RBC, 25.12.2006, Moscow 15:47:49.UTair Aviation, a Russian airline, is poised to increase its net profit in 2007 by 1.6 times to RUR645m (approx. USD24.53m) compared to 2006, the company's press office reported. UTair's revenue is projected to reach RUR22.718bn (approx. USD864m), which is 45.7 percent higher than estimated revenue for 2006. Operating profit is predicted to be RUR1.5bn (approx. USD57m).

The company plans to transport 3.45m passengers in 2007, which is 38 percent higher than in 2006, and to introduce 31 new destinations.

UTair moves to the European market
      --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Helicopters of UTair Europe (subsidiary of UTair) will launch flights in the European sky soon. Expansion into new promising markets will make it possible for UTair to implement its ambitious business expansion plans and could positively impact the its stock valuations.

On December 26, 2006 UTair’s subsidiary UTair Europe was granted an authorization to operate flights in Europe. According to an official press release, headquarters and facilities of a new company will be located in an international airport of Peshtyany (Slovakia). It is expected that UTair Europe’s helicopters “will deliver various goods, perform mounting works and extinguish forest fires”, says UTair’s press release.

More than 60 UTair’s helicopters currently operate under export contracts in 10 countries all over the world, from the US to South Africa. UTair has opened its offices in Canada and Lebanon in 2006. Once UTair Europe obtains all the required licenses and its office in Peshtyany is registered, UTair could significantly boost its revenues from helicopter leasing services provided abroad which have the strongest margin among the company’s operations.

UTair’s 2007 business plan envisages a 25% spike in revenues from helicopter leasing services provided overseas. In our opinion, this figure is quite realistic, given robust growth prospects of the company’s representative offices opened this year.

We are extremely upbeat on the aggressive geographical expansion of UTair’s helicopter business and assign a Buy recommendation to the company’s shares with the target price of $0.74.

      UTair turns 40

UTair is pleased to announce its 40th anniversary. In February 1967 the Civil Aviation Minister of the USSR decreed to establish the Tyumen Civil Aviation Department, to which UTair (UTair Aviation JSC) is the rightful successor.

On February 7, 2007 celebrations were held in Khanty-Mansiysk attended by the airline’s employees and veterans who have made serious contributions to its formation and development, as well as representatives of UTair’s Russian and foreign partners and the Russian aviation authorities.

At this point, UTair is among Russia's four largest air carriers, projecting to carry some 3.5m people in its business plan for 2007. The airline is continuously upping its number of flight destinations and frequency and improving the standard of services.

UTair commands the largest air fleet in Russia of around 300 airplanes and helicopters, including the heaviest-load-carrying helicopter fleet in the world, boasting the unique Mi-26 aircraft.

The company proposes to further expand its commercial operations in North America, Europe, Asia and Africa.

UTair’s shares are available for public trading on the stock market. The airline has been repeatedly granted the Wing of Russia National Aviation Award, the most prestigious aviation trophy in Russia. The airline’s business plan approved by the Executive Board projects that revenue will surge by 45.6 percent to RUR22.718bn (approx. USD860.86m). Operating profit is expected at RUR1.5bn (approx. UTair will use 93 airplanes and 150 helicopters of all the existing classes to perform the planned operations. The average accrued wages of the airline’s employees are forecast to rise 23.2%.

UTair is a dynamically developing company with a growing number of branches and subsidiaries. The airline’s strong performance has been driven by the joint effort of its shareholders, managers and above all its staff of thousands of highly qualified employees.

      17.02.2007

In view of the restrictions imposed on charter and taxi flights performed by a number of Russian air carriers including UTair (UTair Aviation JSC) to the European Union, by the joint regulation of the Federal Air Transport Agency and the Federal Supervision Service for Transport, starting from February 12, 2007, according to the information circulated by the Transportation Ministry of Russia, UTair’s press office has been instructed to voice the airline’s official stance.

In line with the Russian Transportation Ministry’s statement, the above restrictions on the activities of a number of Russian air carriers have been imposed “in order to avoid serious damage to Russia's image as a leading air power, as well as to enhance the security of flights,” and will remain effective until the airlines have addressed the criticisms raised by the European Commission Directorate for Transport.

The information of the EC Directorate for Transport suggests that from 2004 through 2006 some Russian airlines earned a lot of criticism during overhauls at European Union airports, and had been duly notified thereof. However, notwithstanding the established procedure, the airlines failed to advise Russia's Federal Supervision Service for Transport of the criticism as well as to take steps to overcome the flaws highlighted. Given that the flaws still exist and provide the European Commission with the premises to initiate the inclusion of these air carriers into the so-called ‘black list’, the Federal Supervision Service for Transport and the Federal Air Transport Agency have taken preventive steps to restrict their operations in the European Union.

Such strict measures on the part of the Russian authorities appear to be rash and to disregard the actual state of affairs. In particular, as of February 12, 2007 UTair had had only one such survey report with two points of criticism, the first one regarding access to one of the emergency exits in a plane’s cabin, and the second one regarding the failure to log information about the airplane’s special characteristics in English.

The airline gave most careful consideration to both the points, and both of them have been found to be connected with the peculiarities of Russian airplanes and air regulations. One pair of emergency exits in the middle of the second cabin in the Tu-154M plane that was checked was indeed blocked by rows of seats. However, these are additional emergency exits in excess of airworthiness requirements, while all the required passages were absolutely accessible. As for the requirement to keep logbooks in English, they are also deemed superfluous. The Russian aviation regulations do not set forth special language requirements for aircraft documentation, including logbooks, for Russian operators. Russian is an official language of both the UN and ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization).

UTair is positive that having scrutinized the situation the Russian aviation authorities will lift the restrictions shortly, and join their efforts with the Russian airlines to expand the air transportation network in Russia and abroad.

As for our commitments to passengers and clients we undertake to meet them in full and in due time.
