Smart-tek Schedules Test Trials of Its Technology in Fight Against Bird Flu
Monday November 28, 10:55 am ET

CORTE MADERA, Calif., Nov. 28, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Smart-tek Solutions, Inc. (OTC BB:STTK.OB - News) announced today the company has scheduled and plans to deploy test trials of its RFID monitoring and tracking technologies at select poultry farms in China, against the possible spread of the H5N1 Avian Influenza in January 2006.
      [Blocked Ads]
Mr. Donald Gee, Chairman and CEO of Smart-tek Solutions, Inc., announced, ``During our meetings with Chinese officials on November 14, 2005, in China, Mr. Wu Yuan Bin, Director, China Rural Technology Development Center under the Ministry of Science and Technology, discussed a plan to immediately prepare, initiate and deploy test trials at a select poultry farm in China.`` He further added, ``Accordingly, we are currently planning the logistics and expect to initiate these test trials in January 2006.``

Mr. Goodwin Wang, Managing Director of SES Investments (China) Ltd., the exclusive licensee of Smart-tek Solutions, Inc.`s technology in China, said, ``We are currently discussing and planning with the Chinese government the scope of the test trials and interpretation of the raw data from such trials.`` He added, ``The logistics and execution of a successful test trial is extremely complex and involves the input of the Chinese government.``

Smart-tek Solutions, Inc. has been advised by Mr. Wu Yuan Bin that, upon successful test trial of Smart-tek Solutions, Inc.`s technology, his Ministry has the authority to issue a national mandatory directive to require the use of Smart-tek Solutions, Inc.`s technology by all poultry farms and bird keepers.

It is estimated that China has billions of birds, across all species. On November 15, 2005, the Ministry of Science and Technology arranged for Mr. Gee to visit and tour a poultry farm in the outskirts of Beijing, China, to evaluate and assess the logistics of the proposed test trials. Mr. Gee stated, ``There were 30 million chickens in this one farm. The sheer number of birds, of all species in China, is simply astonishing.``

On November 24, 2005, China reported that a woman farmer had died of bird flu, its second confirmed fatality from the virus that is spreading across Asia.

Smart-tek Solutions, Inc.`s strategy for the possible containment of the bird flu virus is to leverage its expertise in the security, surveillance and monitoring sectors.

Smart-tek Solutions, Inc.`s technology includes but is not limited to the ability to tag, program and count the specific number of birds, with end user defined rules, utilizing RFID protocols. Data, such as 1) the number of birds; 2) owner information; 3) location information; 4) species information; and 5) inspection dates, can all be programmed utilizing case by case specific needs of Organizations, Governments and Agencies.

Smart-tek Communications Inc. Completes RFID Tracking Alert and Containment System -- System Readied to Begin Test Trials in Efforts to Contain Deadly Bird Flu
CORTE MADERA, Calif., Feb. 24, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Smart-tek Communications Inc. announced today the completion of its RFID tracking and containment system for its parent company, Smart-tek Solutions, Inc. (OTCBB:STTK).

The system, "RTAC-PM," short for "RFID Tracking Alert Containment and Poultry Monitoring," was designed for livestock monitoring and is targeted specifically for the poultry industry in conjunction with attempts to contain the possible spread of the H5N1 Avian Influenza. The RTAC-PM system incorporates leading edge technology and is customized around our customers` requirements with the flexibility to adapt to various types of OEM products.

"At its core, the RTAC-PM System utilizes the Internet to report detailed, real-time information about events in the poultry supply-chain to a central monitoring station," said Perry Law, President of Smart-tek Communications, Inc. "The system allows a central agency to monitor the flow of product over an arbitrary area, from a small town all the way up to an entire country. With built-in alert monitoring protocols, the RTAC-PM system provides instant alert notification of events that could indicate anomalies that, subject to investigation protocols, could indicate the onset of disease outbreak to the central agency."

Law said the RTAC-PM system will provide information that is vital to the central agency, allowing them to rapidly respond to threats of disease outbreak. Alert events include excessive mortality rates during growth, and unusual patterns of movement that could signify an attempt to cover-up disease outbreaks by poultry farmers. Alert events will allow the central agency to dispatch inspectors to investigate, thus focusing monitoring efforts on the areas most likely to be at risk.

"In the poultry industry, there are only a few stages of the production cycle," added Law. "With eggs from the egg supplier, chick producers produce the newborn chicks which are then sent to a farm where the birds are fed and grown. Once the chicken crop reaches maturity, they are processed. The entire life cycle from chick to maturity is only approximately eight weeks.

"Information about the production cycle of each specific flock is captured and recorded at the chick producer, growing farm and processing plant. Utilizing our customized tags and tagging equipment, the RFID bird tag is designed to allow for bird growth and durability. Our unique tag is re-useable for many crops. Information such as date of birth, birth location, breed, and farmer information can be collected by the central government agency, and available to authorized users via the Internet."

In addition to recording the movements of the birds themselves, the RTAC-PM system can also track the movements of containers, cages, and trucks used to transport poultry among the various facilities involved in the production process. Furthermore, the system will be capable of tracking the finished product (both for domestic and export consumption) all the way to the consumer, providing complete traceability from egg to supermarket, making this the most advanced tracking system in any food-related industry.

"Through superior application of world-class RFID and information technologies, the end result of our system will be to provide the central agency with the tools it needs to monitor poultry movement. With agency-designed alerts, the RTAC-PM system will allow the deployment of agency protocols to rapidly and effectively contain an outbreak of disease," Law said.

Working in cooperation with other industry best-practices for the prevention and containment of disease, the RTAC-PM System is expected to be an invaluable asset to any governmental agency responsible for the safety of the food supply and preventing the spread of Avian Flu.

The Company also announced that it is now ready to move forward with the test trials of the RTAC-PM system in China in March 2006 and not in February as previously anticipated.

"Everything is now in place to launch definitive testing in mid-March," said Law. "At that time we will be conducting two tests/demos with various government agencies and authorities. While we are disappointed in the scheduling delays, we are charting some new territory and we want to be assured that our system is operating to the exacting standards required to achieve desired results."

From last PR.. "The Company also announced that it is now ready to move forward with the test trials of the RTAC-PM system in China in March 2006 and not in February as previously anticipated . "

Smart-tek Solutions, Inc. Completes Successful Demonstration in China of Its Proprietary System to Monitor Poultry Flocks That May Be Subject to Avian Flu

      Tuesday , March 21, 2006 10:05 ET

CORTE MADERA, Calif., Mar 21, 2006 (PRIMEZONE via COMTEX) -- Smart-tek Communications, Inc. announced today the successful completion of a demonstration in the People`s Republic of China of its RFID tracking and containment system for its parent company, Smart-tek Solutions, Inc (OTCBB:STTK).

"This is a huge step forward in the marketing of our proprietary technology solution to the world," said Perry Law, president of Smart-tek Communications, Inc. "The potential dollar value of this industry segment is in the hundreds of millions of dollars and, with a viable solution developed by our Company to penetrate this market, it may provide the Company and its shareholders with a tremendous opportunity for growth," said Law.

More than 50 government, academic and industry experts attended the demonstrations which were conducted in Beijing. Additionally, numerous media, including CCTV (China Central TV -- the largest state-owned television broadcaster) were on hand.

"With an estimated 13 billion chickens in China, this is such an extremely critical issue that there was a very high level of interest on the part of the governmental officials who attended," said Perry Law. "The general consensus was that they view the RTAC-PM (short for `RFID Tracking Alert Containment and Poultry Monitoring) system as a viable method to monitor the threat of the deadly bird flu virus. The next step in the process is for Smart-tek to provide specific costing budgets required to implement the system according to client specifications. All indications are that the governmental officials in attendance would recommend the system to the central government."

The system, "RTAC-PM," was designed for the livestock industry and is targeted specifically for the poultry industry with user-defined alerts that may assist governmental agencies to monitor poultry movement. The RTAC-PM system incorporates leading edge technology and is customized around customers` requirements with the flexibility to adapt to various types of OEM products.

Smart-tek has an established relationship with its sole licensee, SES Investment (China) Limited, which will serve as the liaison with the central government and facilitate implementation of the system upon final approval by the appropriate authorities.

"The potential for application of the RTAC-PM system is tremendous in China," said Law. "We are now ready to customize our solution to clients` needs."

"Frankly, we were overwhelmed with the reception of the system," said Law. "We`ve always been confident we had a `better mouse trap,` but the high praise we received in China was third party affirmation that the RFID is a vital tool in combating what may be one of the greatest threats currently facing mankind."

      Wednesday, March 22, 2006 11:10 ET

Mar 22, 2006 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- Market Gainer is quickly emerging as the one stop shop for international small-cap investors looking to stay a step ahead of the markets. Today`s momentum comes as the Smart-tek announced today that Chinese government officials present at the successful demonstration of the Company`s RFID tracking and containment system have requested detailed cost estimates for the state-of-the-art technology.

"Our sole and exclusive licensee for China, SES Investment (China) Limited, was approached by several governmental officials following the demonstration of our RTAC-PM (RFID Tracking Alert Containment and Poultry Monitoring) system," said Perry Law, President of Smart-tek Communications, Inc. "Due to the rapid spread of the H5N1 Avian Influenza across the globe, the government is pressed to find a containment solution and implement an action plan to help combat this worldwide issue before the situation deteriorates even further."

In conjunction with SES, the Company will now further analyze the requirements of the Chinese government and as expeditiously as possible provide a specific budget for the hardware, software and implementation costs to install a complete RTAC-PM system.

"With an estimated 13 billion chickens in China alone, this project represents a tremendous opportunity to further grow and diversify the Company`s revenue stream," said Law. Fowl Play: RFID, LTD. to Compete With Smart-Tek to Track Bird-Flu in China

      Friday , March 24, 2006 05:58 ET

DENVER, Mar 24, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- RFID, LTD (OTC:RFDL) today announced its intention to offer a solution to track H5N1 Avian Influenza, commonly known as "bird-flu" for the People's Republic of China.

Smart-Tek Solutions, Inc. (OTCBB:STTK) announced the branding of its H5N1 tracking solution RTAC-PM (short for 'RFID Tracking Alert Containment and Poultry Monitoring) solution on March 21, 2006; after first publicly disclosing entry into the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) market in early November 2005.

According to press releases, Smart-Tek Solutions, Inc. estimates China holds a total of 13 billion chickens that could be exposed to bird-flu.

"We are very impressed that Smart-Tek could develop, test and pilot an international RFID solution of this size and scope in a mere five months," said Nicholas Chavez, president of RFID, LTD. "This accomplishment is especially worthy of merit given that Smart-Tek defines its core business offering as: closed circuit TV, access control and alarm systems for the Greater Vancouver area."

Implementing RFID in China is not without its difficulties.

China has historically faced challenges implementing RFID due to radio signal conflict perpetrated by the country's heavy use of the 860-MHz to 960-MHz UHF (Ultra High Frequency) band for telecommunications services. While the Chinese government is constructively addressing the UHF issue, they have not given a timeframe for decision regarding the designation of permanent operating frequencies for RFID technologies.

"The integrative complexity of this bird-flu project is staggering. It would be logistically impossible for one company to manufacture the sheer amount of hardware required for this task, let alone provide implementation services for the hardware and infrastructure to track 13 billion birds," stated Chavez. "As a frame of reference, approximately 3 million household pets are currently tagged with Digital Angel biothermal RFID chips on an annual basis."

RFID, LTD. has committed to completing an associated feasibility study by April 20th 2006.

"If our feasibility study indicates that engaging Avian Influenza with RFID technology on such a wide scale is humanly possible, and likely to be profitable, we will make an attempt to win the business and leverage our extensive RFID industry partnerships to make the project a success," added Chavez.

Smart-tek Solutions Inc. Announces United States Expansion Plans of Its Bird Flu Containment and Monitoring System :eek::eek:

      Tuesday , March 28, 2006 09:55 ET

CORTE MADERA, Calif., Mar 28, 2006 (PRIMEZONE via COMTEX) -- Smart-tek Solutions Inc. (OTCBB:STTK) today announced its expansion plans into the United States of its RTAC-PM system to help with the monitoring of its poultry to limit the risk of it being infected with H5N1 virus.

"The reception our system has received since we introduced it in China has been simply overwhelming," said Perry Law, President of Smart-tek Communications Inc. "We have received numerous requests for additional information on our avian flu containment system from many different organizations and companies located around the world, including many from the United States. Even though the bird flu has yet to appear in the United States, the H5N1 virus is such a grave economic concern that proactive measures need to be implemented and we believe that our avian flu containment system would be a great tool in this process.

"Smart-tek's expansion strategy will be to evaluate potential candidates, enter into licensee agreements to promote our product to proper levels of local, state and federal governments," said Law. "It is crucial that we find an organization that has the ability to promote our product to the right individuals in the right departments. Therefore, we will be conducting extensive research on all candidates to assure that we find the licensee that meet these exacting criteria.

"This strategy has been successful so far in China, and we believe that it can also be successful in the United States," said Law. "This deadly disease is showing no bias toward any nation and it has the ability to bring disastrous consequences to the American Poultry Industry. The United States has the opportunity to be proactive and implement checks and balances before the bird flu spreads to its flocks and limit the potential damages and we believe that we can be a part of their solution."

The RTAC-PM system was designed for the livestock industry and is targeted specifically for the poultry industry with user defined alerts that may assist governmental agencies to monitor poultry movement. The RTAC-PM system incorporates leading edge technology and is customized around customers' requirements with the flexibility to adapt to various types of OEM products.

Smart-tek Solutions Inc. to Introduce Its Bird Flu Containment Solution to Vietnam

      Wednesday, March 29, 2006 09:35 ET

CORTE MADERA, Calif., Mar 29, 2006 (PRIMEZONE via COMTEX) -- Smart-tek Solutions Inc. (OTCBB:STTK) and its subsidiary, Smart-tek Communications Inc., announced today its intention to introduce its RTAC-PM poultry monitoring and containment system to Vietnamese officials.

"The RFID poultry monitoring and containment system that we have designed to help in the fight against the spread of the avian flu has generated a tremendous amount of interest from many countries around the world," said Perry Law, President of Smart-tek Communications, Inc. "We have received enough inquiries from Southeast Asia to warrant the preparation of a presentation of our solution in the region. The country of Vietnam, which has an estimated poultry population of 260 million, has been greatly affected by the deadly and economically devastating H5N1 virus and is a logical choice for us to introduce our product."

"It is our understanding that the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has allowed Ho Chi Minh City to retain its ban on poultry farming until February 2007 to ensure there is no recurrence of bird flu due to the lack of safety measures currently undertaken by the poultry industry in this region," said Law. "We believe our system can be used as part of their safety measures and provide the ministry with enough information and assurances that once the ban is lifted, the possible infiltration of the deadly bird flu in poultry flocks can be detected and dealt with swiftly to avoid any further devastation."

Smart-tek will attempt to replicate the successful strategy it has undertaken in China by locating, evaluating and engaging a licensee in the area that will serve as the liaison with the government and facilitate implementation of the system upon final approval by the appropriate authorities.

The system, "RTAC-PM," was designed for the livestock industry and is targeted specifically for the poultry industry with user-defined alerts that may assist governmental agencies to monitor poultry movement. The RTAC-PM system incorporates leading edge technology and is customized around customers' requirements with the flexibility to adapt to various types of OEM products.

"We believe the potential for application of the RTAC-PM system is tremendous in Vietnam, and it represents a great opportunity for Smart-tek to continue its quest to increase our shareholder value," said Law.

      Thursday , March 30, 2006 10:25 ET

CORTE MADERA, Calif., Mar 30, 2006 (PRIMEZONE via COMTEX) -- Smart-tek Solutions Inc. (OTCBB:STTK) and its subsidiary, Smart-tek Communications Inc., announced today that it is in advance stages to introduce its RTAC-PM poultry monitoring and containment system to officials in Singapore.

"The RFID poultry monitoring and containment system that we have designed to help in the fight against the spread of the avian flu has generated a tremendous amount of interest from the South-East Asian region," said Perry Law, President of Smart-tek Communications Inc. "While Singapore is currently bird flu free, surveillance and monitoring is a crucial element of their strategy to assure that it continues to be. They are very proactive in their fight against a potential outbreak of the H5N1 virus. We believe our system can be a valuable tool as part of their preventative strategy.

"We believe that Singapore would be looking for a containment system to be implemented at the poultry's point of entry into the Singapore food chain," said Law. "We designed our system to be flexible and scaleable to meet our customer's needs. Our design took into account that requirements will undoubtedly vary from country to country."

Smart-tek will also attempt to replicate the successful strategy it has undertaken in China, by locating, evaluating and engaging a licensee in the area, who will serve as the liaison with the government and facilitate implementation of the system upon final approval by the appropriate authorities.

The system, "RTAC-PM," was designed for the livestock industry and is targeted specifically for the poultry industry with user defined alerts that may assist governmental agencies to monitor poultry movement. The RTAC-PM system incorporates leading edge technology and is customized around customers' requirements with the flexibility to adapt to various types of OEM products.

"We believe the potential for application of the RTAC-PM system is tremendous in Singapore and it represents a great opportunity for Smart-tek to demonstrate the versatility of its RTAC-PM system," said Law.

      Hallo Leute,

Smart-tek Solutions, Inc. to Introduce Its Bird Flu Containment Solution to Hong Kong; Company in Discussions with Potential Licensee

      Monday , April 03, 2006 11:05 ET

CORTE MADERA, Calif., Apr 3, 2006 (PRIMEZONE via COMTEX) -- Smart-tek Solutions, Inc. (OTCBB:STTK) and its subsidiary, Smart-tek Communications, Inc. announced today it is in advanced stages to introduce its RTAC-PM poultry monitoring and containment system to officials from Hong Kong.

"The RFID poultry monitoring and containment system that we have designed to help in the fight against the spread of the avian flu has generated a significant level of interest from many countries in South-East Asia," said Perry Law, President of Smart-tek Communications, Inc. "We are currently in active discussions with a potential licensee in Hong Kong to help market our product in the region. Concurrently with these efforts, we are in the advanced planning stages of preparing a demonstration of our RTAC-PM poultry monitoring and containment system to present to various government officials."

"We feel our system can be very beneficial to the people of Hong Kong when used as part of a comprehensive bird flu containment strategy," said Law. "It is our understanding that officials in Hong Kong would be interested in seeing if our system can be applied in different areas of the poultry processing cycle. We designed our system to be flexible and to accommodate different needs of different government. Therefore, we believe our system will be able to accommodate the requirements of this market.

"Currently, there is a two million poultry population cap in Hong Kong. While there are no reported cases of bird flu in the region, we believe that our system could be a useful tool in their poultry monitoring and tracking strategy," said Law.

"In Hong Kong, we are attempting to replicate the successful strategy undertaken in China. We are in very active discussions with an agent in Honk Kong to become our next licensee that will serve as the liaison with the government and facilitate implementation of the system upon final approval by the appropriate authorities."

"We believe the potential for application of the RTAC-PM system is tremendous in Hong Kong, and it represents a great opportunity for Smart-tek to continue its quest to increase shareholder value," said Law.

Smart-tek Solutions, Inc. Receives $5,000,000 Initial Order From the Chinese Government for its RTAC-PM Bird Flu Containment and Monitoring System

      Wednesday, April 05, 2006 09:30 ET

CORTE MADERA, Calif., Apr 5, 2006 (PRIMEZONE via COMTEX) -- Smart-tek Solutions, Inc. (OTCBB:STTK) announced today that it has received an initial $5 million order from the People's Republic of China for its proprietary RFID tracking and containment system.

"The Chinese government has placed their initial order with our sole licensee, SES Investment (China) Ltd. who in turn, placed an order with Smart-tek. The initial order received today represents the beginning of the implementation process of our RTAC-PM system in China," said Perry Law, President of Smart-tek Communications, Inc. "Once the system is successfully implemented at select farms chosen by the Chinese government, we anticipate significant orders to follow as the nation tries to contain the threat of the virus to its more than 13 billion chickens."

"Today, we have received the first order from the Chinese government for Smart-tek's RTAC-PM avian flu containment system," said Goodwin Wang, Managing Director of SES Investment (China) Ltd. "The response from the system demonstration has been outstanding and we believe that this order represents only the early phase of the Chinese implementation strategy of Smart-tek RTAC-PM bird flu containment system."

Along with the appropriate software configurations the initial order consists of:

-- Active RFD tags for cages and vehicles
-- Passive RFID tags for poultry
      -- RFID readers

"This is a huge step forward in the marketing of our proprietary technology solution to the world," said Law. "Having our product validated by this initial order will only create more opportunities to market our product in other countries that are faced with the this monumental world health issue."

The RTAC-PM system was designed for the livestock industry and is targeted specifically for the poultry industry with user defined alerts that could assist governmental agencies to monitor poultry movement. The RTAC-PM system incorporates leading edge technology and is customized around customers' requirements with the flexibility to adapt to various types of OEM products.

The Company hosted a demonstration of its RTAC-PM system in China in March which was attended by more than 50 Government, academic and industry experts. Numerous media, including CCTV (China Central TV -- the largest state owned television broadcaster) were also on hand during this event.

"The World Health Organization has recommended that containment and monitoring of poultry movements be amongst the first lines of defense in the world-wide fight against bird flu," said Law. "We are prepared to present our system to any nation that expresses an interest in an immediate solution for the containment and monitoring of poultry. To date, we have had numerous organizations from all over the world express an interest to learn more about our RTAC-PM system."

      Was die Firma wirklich

      http://www.primezone.com/newsroom/news.html?d=89717

      http://www.gilardi.com/pdf/mtc2not.pdf

      http://www.nasd.com/web/idcplg?IdcService=SS_GET_PAGE&ssDocN…

      Meinungen in investorshub:
      Posted by: otc_buzzard
"There is a high liklihood this stock could be halted for verification of their latest press release.
Has anyone ever heard of another company (Microsoft, GE, Siebel, etc.) that did a presentation to China and within two weeks they had a contract? I've never seen it. Typically the sales cycle is at least 6-9 months.
If this latest $5 mm press release is not verifiable, this stock will go back to where it came... Sub $.20
Anyone risking good money with this group now should have their heads examined."

      In reply to: otc_buzzard

"There's my verifacation....if STTK is still here in a week and SEC has not halted their trading than again sucklemon is lying. So, that was easy."

Stocklemon may have just posted it's last BS newsletter/spam mail whatever.

He picked the wrong company to go after imo.

Did you see the STTK video & today's news release.
Stocklemon doesn't dare address the truth.

Stocklemon has been sued for libel. Read today's news, watch the presentation before Chinese dignitaries.

This Stocklemoon has u know what stuck up his butt. 'hope is short position gets crushed for libelous yappn'.

      Is StockLemon.com a lemon?
The ongoing debate on the definition of journalism inspired by Apple Computer’s lawsuit against at least three web publications continues in other less publicized avenues. StockLemon.com is no Fortune magazine but a lawsuit it now faces could affect the course of the emerging world of digital journalism. Embattled Internet business company, iMergent, is suing StockLemon.com, a web site which claims to expose lemons on the OTC market, for a drumbeat of criticism the site has heaped on it. The $15-million suit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court claims that the false, misleading, and damaging criticism amounts to libel and has significantly damaged the reputation of iMergent chief executive Don Danks. According to the Salt Lake Tribune, Mr. Danks' attorney believes the suit also serves as a "test case to disclose the fact that certain web sites that profess to be consumer watchdog sites are really sites who manipulate the stock price of a given stock.” The attorney, Barry Rothman, contended that StockLemon.com stands to make “substantial profits when stock prices fall as a result of the false and negative information having been published.” StockLemon.com’s “reporters” use fictitious names. The iMergent suit comes on the heels of a slew of class-action lawsuits filed against it in U.S. District Court. The suits, which allege securities fraud and false statements to investors meant to inflate stock prices, seek damages for iMergent shareholders, whose stock lost more than half its value in a three-week period ending March 1. Andrew Left, the Los Angeles-based stock researcher who founded the site, called iMergent’s claim disingenuous, pointing to an on-site disclaimer accompanying items about iMergent that notes “the principles (sic) of StockLemon.com might hold a position in any of the securities profiled on the site.” “I've disclosed that from Day One," Mr. Left, who confirms he holds a “short” position on iMergent stock, said to the paper. “I take my personal research and put true information online on my web log.” He acknowledged posting anonymously, but said he readily identified himself to iMergent when asked. “I e-mailed Don Danks two weeks ago to confirm who I was, to tell him where to contact my lawyer so he could serve me,” Mr. Left said.

      January 19, 2004 --
      DotcomScoop.com

IN the Wild West of the over-the-counter stock market, there is one question about the mysterious man behind StockLemon.com that needs to be answered: Does he wear a black hat or a white hat?

"He takes advantage of little investors and reports things that are blatantly not true," Angelo Tullo, the chief executive of YP.Net, told The Post. "We're hunting him down."

YP.Net may have good reason to hunt down the man simply known as StockLemon Guy.

After StockLemon published a Jan. 8 report on the Mesa, Ariz., online yellow pages provider, its stock plunged more than 30 percent on 20 times the average volume - just a day after its shares had closed at an all-time high.

YP.Net promptly issued a press release, saying it suspected that StockLemon may have profited from the drop and claimed the Web site's report on it was false.

A day later, YP.Net filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona against StockLemon.com, alleging that the Internet publication "wantonly published false and defamatory statements about the company."

StockLemon Guy refutes the allegations and says that, although he published a "mea culpa" that corrected some information, he stands by his report.

"StockLemon is a good service because it's the only thing that gives [the OTC market] balance," said StockLemon Guy, who refused to identify himself. "These companies can say anything they want, and we have to take it as it is [because there's no oversight on the OTC]."

StockLemon Guy positions himself as a combination of a savvy investor and a watchdog. He makes no bones about the fact that he profits from his reports, which almost always sink virtually unknown, thinly traded stocks.

About 40 companies have felt the sting of his reports, and more than once it has been suggested that StockLemon Guy is in cahoots with hedge funds looking for short opportunities.

"That's the craziest thing I've ever heard - [that] it's a grand conspiracy. What hedge fund is going to short a $2 stock? I strongly deny [that I have association with hedge funds]," StockLemon Guy said.

Asked to identify himself, StockLemon Guy, who claims to have about 2,000 newsletter readers, refused to do so. He told The Post that he's a stay-at-home dad who lives on the West Coast and worries about his family's safety.

Trying to glean his identity in traditional ways is a lost cause. Legal action may be the only way to track him down.

"I kind of make myself open to lawsuits," he said. "I don't necessarily try to hide who I am. It's just important to keep the focus on the message, not the messenger. But you can find me if you sue me."

That's just what YP.Net is doing. And it may be up to a judge or jury to decide whether StockLemon Guy is a short-selling manipulator or a savvy businessman out to protect individual investors.

Don Danks, Chairman and CEO of Imergent, Inc. Files $15 Million Lawsuit Against StockLemon.com and Its Principals for Libel and Defamation
      Market Wire, April, 2005

Don Danks, the Chairman and CEO of Imergent, Inc. (AMEX: IIG) has filed suit in Los Angeles Superior Court against Stocklemon.com and its principals for $15 million. The suit also seeks punitive damages in an amount to be determined at the time of trial.

Among other things, the suit asserts a cause of action for defamation based on false, misleading and damaging allegations published over the Internet that has significantly damaged the reputation and standing of Mr. Danks as the CEO of Imergent, Inc., a publicly traded company. The suit also asserts causes of action for Interference with Prospective Economic Advantage, violations of California Corporate Code 25400c and Violations of 15USC 101 et seq., conspiracy and infliction of emotional distress.

Barry K. Rothman, attorney for Mr. Danks said, "Litigation has been filed against StockLemon.com and its principals, which litigation we intend to be the test case to disclose the fact that certain websites that profess to be consumer watchdog sites are really sites who manipulate the stock price of a given stock they have a vested financial interest in by intentionally publishing false and negative information regarding the stock, which causes StockLemon.com to make substantial profits when stock prices fall as a result of the false and negative information having been published. As well this litigation is intended to be a test case that will make it mandatory for principals of these self-professed consumer watchdog sites to disclose their identities, and the true identities of the fictitious names of the people who post. Most importantly this litigation is intended to be a test case that these websites have a financial motive in publishing the false and negative information they publish and they cannot hide behind Freedom of Speech and 1st Amendment Rights and we intend to have the court impose severe punitive damages against all defendants as a result of the outrageous defamation that has been published "for profit."

Said Mr. Danks, "The information published by Stocklemon.com is false, misleading and has been emotionally and financially devastating to me, my family, employees of Imergent as well as the majority of stockholders of Imergent. I intend to vigorously and aggressively prove that the statements made about me are false and I am prepared to take this case to trial if necessary to clear my name and reputation and to demonstrate that one cannot publish defamatory information for financial gain without consequences. I have conducted my entire professional career honestly and ethically and to be personally targeted like this by StockLemon.com will not be tolerated."

      Smart-tek Solutions, Inc. Shareholder Update

      Thursday , April 06, 2006 11:07 ET

CORTE MADERA, Calif., Apr 6, 2006 (PRIMEZONE via COMTEX) -- Smart-tek Solutions, Inc. (OTCBB:STTK) and its subsidiary, Smart-tek Communications, Inc., wish to announce today the following update for its shareholders.

"The past few weeks have been very exciting period in our company's short history," said Perry Law, president of Smart-tek Communications. "However we find ourselves in a situation that lends itself to that old saying 'A whale is only harpooned until it spouts.' As a result, there has been a great deal of conjecture about Smart-tek, our financial strength and its ability to bring its RTAC-PM Bird Flu containment and monitoring System to fruition.

One of those harpoons came most recently from an independent and unregulated website called stocklemon.com which posted a host of inaccurate and blatant falsehoods about our company. In fact, we believe the postings were timed in connection with short position holders and market manipulators.

Unlike our company which is held to strict accountability by the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Over the Counter Bulletin Board, sites such as this work in an atmosphere free of any constraints. As a result, the only recourse we have is to vigorously seek legal action against them for these erroneous and unsubstantiated postings.

We recently had to deal with similar accusations about the efficacy of our proprietary RTAC-PM system from an alleged competitor. As a result, we have also brought the matter to our legal counsel to address this very serious issue. Should these actions continue we will have no other alternative but to seek full financial and legal recourse against the offending company.

Certainly it is most disturbing that at time when we should be totally focused on the implementation of our system which can truly benefit mankind, we find ourselves distracted and dealing with issues that have no substantive value. Therefore we want to ally any concerns our shareholders may have had as the result of any rumors or innuendo.

Questions have been raised about the existence of our technology. We would like to assure our shareholders that our technology does exist and a brief video synopsis of our demonstration in China has been available on our website since Monday, April 3, 2006. Our technology has been developed using already available RFID hardware and adding our own proprietary software to it. As a security company, we have been exposed to RFID technology as it is a tool that is commonly used in the security industry.

As for our financial stability, we have been meeting our obligations as they have become due and as has been disclosed, we continue to add to our portfolio of projects in the mixed residential/commercial sector of our business. Furthermore, as disclosed in our form 10-QSB for the quarter ended December 31, 2006, our total contract backlog was approximately $3,562,468, which represents the value of contracts that have been awarded and that have not yet been completed. Based on our estimates, we now believe that number is approximately $5,000,000.

Our recently announced $5,000,000 order from China certainly will have a significant positive impact on the Company's financial status. This order represents the launch of our new business sector that has a tremendous potential to further strengthen our business.

Obviously, we understand your concerns and we want to assure our shareholders that we are working vigorously to achieve our lofty goals of providing a viable solution to a potentially grave international healthcare issue."

Aktionär von Smart-tek Solutions, Inc Aktualisiert Donnerstag, der 6. April 2006 11:07 UND CORTE MADERA, Kalif.,

PURIVAX (TM) Technology from GeneThera Can Facilitate Faster Development of Avian Flu Vaccine
Thursday April 6, 10:00 am ET

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 6, 2006--GeneThera (OTCBB:GTHA - News) announces that its Purivax(TM) technology -- a large-scale process for highly purified and high viral titer Adenovirus and AAV recombinant vectors, would enable fast track development of Adenovirus and AAV-based recombinant DNA vaccines for diseases such as the Avian Flu (commonly called Bird Flu).

GeneThera's PURIVAX(TM), is a multi-resin anion exchange chromatography system that dramatically improves biological purity and viral titer of recombinant Adenovirus and AAV vectors. PURIVAX(TM), completely eliminates toxic side effects associated with adenoviruses and AAV vectors thereby making it possible to quickly develop highly immunogenic and safe recombinant DNA vaccines, which are significantly more efficacious in fighting today's bacterial and viral diseases like Bird Flu, as well as food pathogen applications.

Importantly, recombinant DNA (rDNA) vaccine technology represents a powerful tool for an innovative vaccine design process known as "genetic immunization."

Dr. Tony Milici, CEO of GeneThera remarked, "GeneThera's PURIVAX(TM) is able to achieve both high purity and high viral titer (up to 10e16 viral particles/eulate) based on its proprietary multi-resin anion exchange chromatography system, unlike traditional technologies and first generation chromatography processes that are inadequate, both in terms of purity and yield. The important significance to mankind is that our PURIVAX(TM) technology can help achieve accelerated development of an rDNA vaccine for veterinary diseases, such as the Bird Flu."

      ABOUT GENETHERA, INC.:

GeneThera, Inc. is a molecular biotechnology company located in Wheat Ridge, CO. The Company provides genetic diagnostic solutions for the veterinary and agricultural industries with future plans to include the health-care industry. The Company's proprietary diagnostic solution is based on a genetic expression assay, GEA(TM), a protocol designed to function on a highly automated Fluorogenic PCR platform. This platform enables GeneThera to offer tests that are presently not available from other technologies. The GEA is designed for a host of individual diseases, the current priority being Mad Cow disease, Chronic Wasting Disease, a disease affecting elk and deer in North America; E.Coli 0157:H7 and Johne's Disease, diseases affecting cattle worldwide.

Smart-tek Solutions, Inc. to Introduce Its Bird Flu Containment Solution to Another New Market; Company in Advanced Preparations for Romanian Demonstration

      Friday , April 07, 2006 09:45 ET

CORTE MADERA, Calif., Apr 7, 2006 (PRIMEZONE via COMTEX) -- Smart-tek Solutions, Inc. (OTCBB:STTK) and its subsidiary, Smart-tek Communications, Inc. announced today it is in advanced stages to introduce its RTAC-PM poultry monitoring and containment system to officials from Romania.

"Romania has recently reported a new outbreak of the deadly H5N1 virus," said Perry Law, President of Smart-tek Communications, Inc. "It is estimated that there will be more than 100,000 birds culled during this latest outbreak. These outbreaks can have a devastating impact on the Romanian economy. We believe that our system can be a valuable tool for the Romanian government in their fight against the deadly avian flu. We are currently in active discussions with a licensee candidate in Romania to help market our product in the region. Concurrently with these efforts, we are in the advanced planning stages of preparing a demonstration of our RTAC-PM poultry monitoring and containment system to present to various government officials."

"Our understanding of the poultry distribution cycle in Romania is such that we believe that there is a great need for a poultry monitoring and tracking system to be implemented at the farm level in order for government officials to track poultry movements from the farmers to open markets," said Law. "Our RTAC-PM system was designed for such application." It is estimated that the total poultry inventories currently stands at 80 million.

"In Romania, we are continuing with our global strategy to sign licensing agreements with local organizations that can help market our products with the proper levels of government," said Law. We are in very active discussions with an agent in Romania to become our next licensee that will serve as the liaison with the government and facilitate implementation of the system upon final approval by the appropriate authorities."

      FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
      2006-50

      Washington, D.C., April 6, 2006 -

The Securities and Exchange Commission today filed an emergency enforcement action in federal court charging two New York men, Faisal Zafar and Sameer Thawani, with perpetrating an ongoing securities fraud over the Internet. The complaint alleges that since late 2004 and as recently as March 2006, Zafar and Thawani have engaged in a "pump and dump" scheme to manipulate the market for at least 24 thinly traded "microcap" or "smallcap" stocks. The defendants made over $873,000 by purchasing the stocks, anonymously disseminating false information about the companies on popular Internet message boards, and then selling the stocks at artificially inflated prices.

To deceive investors into buying these stocks, the defendants have preyed on public fears about terrorism and international health epidemics, among other topics. For example, after the London subway bombings and reports concerning a deadly "bird flu" virus, Zafar posted messages falsely stating that one issuer was receiving a contract from the Department of Homeland Security to improve security on New York City subways, and that another issuer was acquiring a company that produces "bird flu" vaccine.

Acting on the Commission's application for emergency relief, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York issued a temporary restraining order that, among other things, froze the defendants' assets and set a date for a hearing on the Commission's motion for entry of a preliminary injunction against further violations and other relief while the action is pending.

Mark K. Schonfeld, Director of the Commission's Northeast Regional Office, said, "Today's action underscores the Commission's continued vigilance against all forms of fraud involving the microcap market. Investors who participate in this segment of our capital markets are entitled to know that the securities laws will be vigorously enforced against all violators."

David Rosenfeld, Associate Regional Director of the Northeast Regional Office, added, "The defendants preyed on innocent investors by using the relative anonymity of the Internet to manipulate the market. We have acted today to stop a brazen fraud and hold the perpetrators responsible for the harm they caused investors."

The Commission's complaint further alleges as follows:

After buying shares at prevailing market prices, Zafar and Thawani used online aliases to post messages touting the stock and containing phony press release excerpts or other fake "news" about the issuer to deceive investors. In addition to capitalizing on actual events in the news, the phony headlines concocted by the defendants have also included false claims of huge business contracts, mergers and strategic alliances between these little-known issuers and an array of major corporations -- such as Google, Kmart and Sun Microsystems -- and other dramatic developments designed to make the targeted stocks appear to be surefire investment opportunities.

Zafar and Thawani are engaged in a classic Internet "pump and dump" manipulation scheme whose basic structure is as follows: (1) one or both of the defendants purchase shares of the issuer's stock in their online brokerage accounts; (2) the defendants register multiple online identities ("User IDs") with Internet message board services; (3) the defendants post multiple messages attributed to their User IDs on Internet message boards devoted either to the touted stock or to other, more widely followed stocks; (4) the messages contain materially false statements about the issuer and urge other investors to buy the stock; and (5) as soon as the stock price increases due to purchases spurred by the false statements, the defendants sell their shares at the inflated price for a quick profit. After their sales, the price of the stock quickly returns to its pre-manipulation level. These events sometimes all occur within the span of a single day.

The defendants have created at least 300 different User IDs and have used them to post well over one thousand messages fraudulently touting the stock of at least 24 small-cap issuers, some of them on multiple occasions. The defendants created these multiple online aliases in order to conceal their identities from investors and make it appear as if the same breaking "news" is coming from multiple independent sources. More recently, the defendants have also targeted specific investors by posing as moderators of Internet user groups devoted to low-priced stocks and sending emails to the group members while simultaneously posting false messages on different Internet message boards about the same stock under different user names. These emails purport to alert investors to imminent news about the stock and urge them to capitalize by buying the stock before the "news" is made public.

The complaint charges Zafar and Thawani with violations of the antifraud provisions of the federal securities laws. In addition to permanent and preliminary injunctive relief, the complaint seeks disgorgement of all illegal profits and the imposition of civil monetary penalties.

The Commission acknowledges the cooperation of the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York and the Federal Bureau of Investigation in this matter.

Bevorzugt leiten die Akteure Gerüchte an wichtige Kunden weiter, also etwa Großbanken.

Smart-tek Solutions, Inc. Visits Romania; Signs the Newest Licensee of Its Bird Flu Containment Solution
Monday May 8, 9:42 am ET

CORTE MADERA, Calif., May 8, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Smart-tek Solutions, Inc. (OTC BB:STTK.OB - News) and its subsidiary, Smart-tek Communications, Inc., announced today that it has made its initial visit to Romania and has signed a new licensee for the region.

``We are very excited to have signed a licensing agreement with Best IT Solutions SRL, to help promote our RTAC-PM poultry monitoring system in Romania,'' said Perry Law, President of Smart-tek Communications, Inc. ``Best IT Solutions is an established IT solutions provider located in Bucharest, Romania. We felt that based on the licensee's team's proven ability to introduce new technologies to the Romanian population, they would be a great fit to help us introduce our avian flu containment solution to the Romanian government.

``During our meetings with our newest licensee, we discussed the current state of the poultry industry in Romania and we identified the need for an avian flu containment system, such as our RTAC-PM poultry monitoring system, to be implemented as part of a comprehensive containment strategy. The economic consequences of the bird flu have already been felt in Romania due to H5N1 outbreaks. The poultry industry is the center of some of their regional economies. Therefore, we feel it is imperative that containment solutions be implemented to help protect the Romanian economy. We believe that there is a great need for a poultry monitoring and tracking system to be implemented at the farm level in order for government officials to track poultry movements from the farmers to open markets,'' said Perry Law. ``Our RTAC-PM system was designed for such application.'' It is estimated that the total poultry inventories currently stands at 80 million.

``The next step to introduce our system to Romanian officials is to select a poultry farm and set-up a demonstration site of our RTAC-PM system. We will then invite government officials to visit the demonstration site and see the effectiveness of our system as part of a comprehensive bird flu containment strategy. We will announce further developments in the coming months as these activities progress,'' said Law.

The system, ``RTAC-PM,'' was designed for the livestock industry and is targeted specifically for the poultry industry with user defined alerts that may assist governmental agencies to monitor poultry movement. The RTAC-PM system incorporates leading edge technology and is customized around customers' requirements with the flexibility to adapt to various types of OEM products.

RFID LTD. Responds to Smart-Tek Lawsuit
      5/17/2006

      DENVER, May 17, 2006 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ --
The Radio frequency identification (RFID) solutions company RFID, LTD. (OTC Bulletin Board: RFDL) today made the following statements regarding the California lawsuit filed by Smart-tek Solutions, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: STTK).

"RFID LTD's principals have a fundamental, constitutional right to speak out on matters of intense public interest, such as logistically-sound remedies for bird flu. RFID LTD will not be silenced by this or any other frivolous lawsuit," said RFID, LTD. general counsel Robert J. Corry Jr.

Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation (SLAPPs) are lawsuits filed with the intent of stifling a defendant's exercise of his or her First Amendment rights. Typically filed by corporations, SLAPPs have no intrinsic merit but instead aim at intimidating opponents into silence, sending a clear message to others that they too risk being sued if they speak out.

California's anti-SLAPP law allows courts to dismiss SLAPP cases at an early stage in the proceedings.

"Every word that RFID LTD has uttered about Smart-Tek is demonstrably true, and we look forward to litigating this case in the courtroom," added Corry.

"RFID, LTD. regrets having to spend time and energy on these distractions, but we have a responsibility to protect our market, and frankly the First Amendment," stated RFID, LTD president Nicholas Chavez.
