Weiss einer wann wieder News von Mawson erscheinen ?

Schon wieder bad news aus Schweden. Das Atomkraftwerk Forsmark macht anscheinend schon wieder Probleme.
Die Kleinanleger treiben den Kurs heute nach unten. Nur Orders mit 100 oder 200 Stück.
Das ist ja wie in alten Zeiten. Sieht nicht gut aus im Moment. Vielleicht ziehe ich meinen Einstiegskurs eher auf 1,50 oder 1,60 Can. Dollar runter.

Heute sind hauptsächlich die Kleinanleger unter sich. Viel Mini-Umsätze. Die Jungs drücken die Kurse. Bin mal gespannt ob die 2,30 Can.Dollar heute halten.
Vielleicht gibts wirklich noch deutlich bessere Einstiegskurse.
Die News aus Schweden wurden vom Markt nicht gerade positiv aufgenommen.
Bei 1,80 - 1,90 Can.Dollar steige ich wieder ein.

Mawson drills near-surface uranium at Tasjo, Sweden

VANCOUVER, March 19 /CNW/ - Michael Hudson, President & CEO, announces results from the first drill holes completed by Mawson at its Kronotorpet uranium - rare earth element (REE) project at Tasjo in northwestern Sweden.
Results are available for the first 19 holes (KRODD06001 to KRODD07019) of a 40-drill hole, 2000-metre drill program that will continue until the spring thaw in April.

Uranium mineralization was targeted from the surface to approximately 40 metres vertical depth. These 19 drill holes tested an area of 100 metres by 500 metres, in which all but four holes intersected the uranium-mineralized horizon. The remainder of the drill program will extend this area over a 700-metre by 200-metre area. Drilling was performed on a grid of 25 or 50-metre spacing, on sections separated by 100 metres. The aim of the program is to collect sufficient sample to perform metallurgical test work, and to define an initial CIM-compliant resource within the Kronotorpet area.

Better results are included below with a full list of results presented in the attached table 1.

Tasjo is a sedimentary uranium deposit where uranium mineralization is associated with concretions of carbonate-fluorapatite, which constitute up to 20% of the rock. Mass balance calculations indicate that the uranium grade of the apatite is 0.16%.
Mawson controls a 40-km strike extent of the uranium-mineralized unit in the Tasjo field. Based on 80 historic drill holes and the report, "Geological Investigations in the Tasjo area in 1963 and 1964" (G. Armands, Swedish Atomic Energy Company) it is estimated that 75 to 150 million tonnes exist at Tasjo, with a grade range of 0.03% to 0.07% uranium oxide (U3O8), 0.11% to 0.24% REE and 3.75% to 7.5% phosphate (P2O5). Total contained metal within the field is estimated between 104 to 116 million pounds of U3O8, 165,000 to 180,000 tonnes of REE and 5.63 million tonnes of P2O5. This exploration target estimate is based on the aforementioned report. The potential quantity and grade is conceptual in nature, as there has been insufficient exploration to define the target at this time and it is uncertain that further exploration will result in the definition of a resource.

The magnitude of the exploration target was confirmed in a recent independent NI43-101 technical report by Andrew Browne of Geosynthesis Pty Ltd, the current qualified person at the Jabiluka uranium project in Australia, after a review of Swedish Geological Survey documentation, a field visit and check analysis of core samples.

Mr. Hudson stated: "The first drill results from Tasjo have shown multiple near-surface uranium and rare earth mineralized horizons, which average five metres true thickness over an area of 100 metres by 500 metres. The consistency of grade, the strike extent and the shallow depth of uranium mineralization are most encouraging. Further drill results from a larger area will soon be available."

The qualified person for the Tasjo project, Mark Saxon, Director and Vice-President of Exploration for Mawson, and a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, has reviewed and verified the contents of this release.

Lt. Mawson Homepage kommen in den nächsten Tagen News über diverse Drillings in Schweden.
Wenn da gute News dabei sind, könnte der Kurs recht schnell nach oben gehen.
Im April kommen wohl nur News über ein Nickel Project.
Interessant wird dann der Mai. Da ist dann einiges an News aus Spanien dabei.
Das könnte dem Wert dann wirklich eine neue Dimension geben.

Cameco: Cigar Lake project expected to come into production by 2010

SASKATOON (CP) - Uranium miner Cameco Corp. (TSX:CCO) said its Cigar Lake mining project will cost more and begin production later than it had anticipated because of massive flooding at the site last year. ADVERTISEMENT

Cameco said it aims to bring the mine into production by 2010. The original target date was 2008.


The Saskatoon-based company also said the capital costs related to Cigar Lake's production startup have risen from the last estimate of $330 million to $508 million. Cameco has already spent $234 million on construction so far, with another $274 million remaining.


But despite the increased capital costs, Cameco insists Cigar Lake, in northern Saskatchewan, remains a financially attractive project.


"While this extraordinary deposit presents its challenges, Cigar Lake will be developed and will enable Cameco to significantly increase its uranium production for years to come," said Jerry Grandey, Cameco's president and CEO.


In addition to the capital costs, Cameco said its share of flood remediation is estimated at $46 million and will be expensed in the year they occur. The company spent and expensed $5 million of that amount in 2006.


Cameco said it will file a technical report on the mine's progress to the Canadian Securities Administrators' System for Electronic Document Analysis and Retrieval (SEDAR) by the end of the month.


The flooding at Cigar Lake sent uranium prices soaring in 2006.


Last April, water flooded a shaft at Cigar Lake used mainly for underground ventilation. Then in October, two massive bulkheads failed to hold back water from a flood after a rock slide in a shaft about a half-kilometre underground, flooding the entire mine.


Last month, Cameco said two rigs on site had drilled eight of the 14 holes planned for reinforcing and sealing off the flooded area.


In 2006, Cameco saw its earnings fall by more than half that of the previous year.


It earned $83 million, or 23 cents a share, in 2005, but only brought in $40 million, or 11 cents a share, for the three months ended Dec. 31, 2006.


But its 2007 outlook remains rosy. It says its revenue from its uranium business is forecast to grow by 45 per cent and its fuel services business will be 20 per cent higher than that of 2006.

Hallo CzeRo,

das ist schwierig zu sgaen wohin die Reise kurzfristig geht. Ich habe ja letzte Woche alle meine Mawson erstmal verkauft. Am Gewinne sichern ist noch keiner gestorben.
Ich vermute das der Kurs in Can. erstmals eine Seitwärtsbewegung im Rahmen 2,20 bis 2,60 Can.Dollar einschlagen wird.
News gibt es noch im März, April und im Mai die ersten News vom Spanienprojekt.
Steht auf der Homepage von Mawson. Ich bin langfristig sehr positiv für diesen Wert gestimmt und hoffe, ich komme nochmals deutlich billiger zum Zuge.
Auf Sicht von 12-Monaten sehe ich den Kurs in Can. zwischen 3,00 und 4,00 Dollar.
Bezogen auf Deutschland also eine Range zwischen 2,00 und vielleicht in der Spitze 3,00 Euro.
Die Story ist gut bei Mawson. Russland hortet zukünftig seine Uranreserven. Uran wird knapp und der Druck auf Schweden und Finnland zur Freigabe des Uranabbaus dort wird seitens der anderen EU-Länder deutlich zunehmen.
Mawson ist sicher wirklich ein Engagement wert im Gegensatz zu anderen Pollinger Werten wie de Beira, Sao Luis, Ammex Gold und wie sie alle heißen.
Kopf hoch. Mawson hat schleißlich Investoren wie den Ikea Chef etc. Der verschleudert auch nicht blind sein Geld,

Wall Street: Schlechte Stimmung trotz Hexensabbat

Heute war wieder einmal Hexentag - und das gleich vierfach. An den internationalen Finanzmärkten wurden heute gleich vier Typen von Derivaten fällig: Futures auf Indizes und einzelne Aktien, sowie Optionen auf Indizes und einzelne Titel.

Der Hexensabbat - der zu den gewohnt hohen Umsätzen führte - konnte allerdings die derzeitige miese Stimmung nicht vertreiben. Die heutigen Inflationszahlen lagen zwar im Rahmen der Erwartungen, wurden aber dennoch ungnädig aufgenommen. Immerhin liegen sie über der Schmerzgrenze der US-Notenbank. Außerdem sind die Rezessionsängste der Vortage noch längst nicht vergessen.

Der Dow Jones verlor heute 0,4% und schloss auf 12.110 Punkten, das sind 1,3% weniger als vergangenen Freitag. Der S&P 500 gab ebenfalls um 0,4% nach und landete auf 1.387 Punkten, ein Wochenverlust von 1,1%. Nur wenig besser schnitt der Nasdaq Composite Index ab, der um 0,3% bröckelte und die Woche auf 2.373 Punkten beendete, also um 0,6% unter Vorwochenniveau.

Von den 30 Titeln im Dow Jones schlossen heute gerade mal 9 im grünen Bereich: Ein aufgestocktes Aktienrückkaufprogramm bei Hewlett Packard wurde mit einem Plus von 0,5% gewürdigt.
- Wal-Mart gab heute den Verzicht auf die Gründung einer eigenen Bank bekannt. Die Wall Street schien erleichtert, der Einzelhandels-Titel gewann 0,5%.

Bei den restlichen sieben Dow-Gewinnern - AT&T, Home Depot, Intel, Coca Cola, McDonald's, Microsoft und United Tech - schaffte keiner mehr als plus 0,3%.

Im müden S&P 500 ragte Nike bereits schon mit einem Plus von 1,7% auf 107,47 Dollar heraus.

Auch an der sonst quirligen Nasdaq ging es heute recht unspektakulär zu: Die dort notierte Kaffeekette Starbucks Corp., die zuletzt unter der Attacke von McDonald's gelitten hatte, bekam heute Schützenhilfe von Goldman Sachs. Analyst Steven T. Kron nahm das Papier in die Favoritenliste der Bank auf, das daher um 3.4% auf 30.58 Dollar zulegte.

- Adobe Systems, bekannt durch den Acrobat Reader, gewann 1,4% auf 39,17 Dollar - Vorschusslorbeeren für die am kommenden Dienstag fälligen Quartalszahlen.

Auch die Verluste fielen heute unspektakulär aus. Zu den auffälligsten Verlierern zählte der Video Game-Hersteller Electronic Arts Inc.. Der Nasdaq-Titel verlor 2.1% und schloss auf 48.92 Dollar. Analyst Michael Savner von Banc of America Securities hatte in einer Kurzstudie darauf hingewiesen, dass die Verkäufe des Spiele-Spezialisten im Februar um 26% gefallen sind. Allerdings sei der Monat saisonal bedingt ohnehin schwach, hieß es.

Google setzt seine Schwächephase fort. Heute gab der Suchmaschinen-Gigant 1,2% auf 440,85 Dollar ab.

Light Crude Oil verbilligte sich um 44 Cents und schloss auf 57.11 Dollar. Das sind 4.9% weniger als in der Vorwoche. Die enormen spekulativen Bestände der Fonds scheinen jetzt wieder auf den Preis zu drücken
- Der Preis für Erdgas gab um 3.5 Cents nach und beendete die Woche auf 6.92 Dollar. 2,2% unter dem Stand vom vergangenem Freitag.

Darunter litten auch die Energie-Titel am Aktienmarkt: Exxon Mobil und Chevron verloren jeweils 1,2% auf 69,86 Dollar bzw. 68,08 Dollar, ConocoPhillips gab 1,8% nach und landete auf 65,34 Dollar.

Die heutigen US-Inflationszahlen schienen dagegen gut in das Kalkül der Gold-Investoren zu passen. Jedenfalls gewann das gelbe Metall 6.80 Dollar und schloss auf 653.90 Dollar. Das ist zugleich ein Wochengewinn von 1,90 Dollar
- Silber verteuerte sich um 14 Cents auf 13,21 Dollar
- Platin legte um 5 Dollar zu und beendete die Woche auf 1.221 Dollar.
