Starcore Enters Sale Agreement on Real Estate Asset

      TorontoTue, Mar 8, 2016 3:27 PM EST

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Mar 9, 2016) - Starcore International Mines Ltd. (SAM.TO) ("Starcore" or the "Company") announces that it has entered into a binding Agreement to sell the San Pedrito Property located in Queretaro, Mexico. The sale is expected to net the Company approximately $7 Million US dollars.* The agreement requires the buyer to deposit $50 million pesos (approximately $2.8 million US dollars), which deposit has been received and held in trust pending various confirmations, including compliance with state and municipal regulations and evidence that the property is in good standing so conveyancing can proceed. The agreement is subject to a $50 million pesos penalty clause in case of non-performance that will become effective if the purchaser do not pay the owed amount when all the conditions have been comply or if "Starcore" does not wants to continue with the sale. Upon receipt of the required confirmations, the Agreement provides for the subject conditions to be removed and the balance of funds to be paid immediately to the Company.

The San Pedrito property was part of Starcore's original acquisition in 2007, when the Company acquired the San Martin Mine from Goldcorp for $26 million [USD]. Although the San Martin mine has continued operations since then, management determined that the San Pedrito property would not be a viable mining operation. The Company then embarked on a focused effort to amend San Pedrito's zoning from its industrial classification to a residential zoning. "This process of changing the zoning took over five years," said Robert Eadie, President of the Company. "It took the combined efforts of the management team and our people at the mine, working and collaborating with various governmental and ministerial levels to finally obtain the residential zoning for San Pedrito, making this eventual sale of the property possible."

"The company anticipates that the process will take approximately six months," continued Mr. Eadie. "Once completed, the transaction is yet another milestone for Starcore. It will enable the Company to pay its outstanding debt, and still have a healthy budget with additional funds to be allocated for exploration and geology programs at our San Martin mine and our other properties."

Wobei diese Meldung bei der momentanen Edelmetall-Hype auch bald mehr Beachtung finden sollte.

SAM ist somit nicht mehr "nur" Produzent mit eigener Mine:

Starcore's Altiplano plant pours first dore bar

      2016-02-29 09:57 ET - News Release

      Mr. Robert Eadie reports

FIRST DORE BAR PRODUCED AT STARCORE'S ALTIPLANO PLANT

Starcore International Mines Ltd.'s Altiplano plant located in Matehuala, Mexico, commenced commercial production as of Feb. 15, 2016, pouring its first dore bar, weighing in at 21.131 kilograms.

"The plant is open for business," said Robert Eadie, president of the company. "This is a huge milestone for us in Mexico. With Altiplano's leaching process, we are able to offer the local miners more flexible financing options compared to what is currently being made available to them by smelters and international traders. We see the Altiplano plant as a synergistic cash-flow producing arm of the company, growing our asset base for our shareholders."

The dore bar will be shipped to a refinery and the results will be forthcoming.

Located within a historic mining district in an area that is home to numerous medium-sized mining operations, the Altiplano plant is a newly designed facility that has the best equipment and operations team to offer an accessible leaching process to miners and concentrate producers.

"Our objectives have been steadfast to continue cost reduction plans and we expect lower mine costs and consistent production in 2015 to offset the lower metal prices" said Robert Eadie, President of the Company. "Our strong cash position has allowed us to acquire significantly undervalued assets such as Creston Moly and we will continue to review strategic acquisitions in the coming year."

      - Verlust $116.000 (Q2 2014: Gewinn $1,6 Mio.)

      - Einnahmen $7,143 Mio. (Q2 2014: $8,378 Mio.) = -15%

      - All-in sustaining cash costs per oz/equivalent sold in Q2:
      US$ 1081(Q2 2014: 1020) = +6%
      C$ 1226 (Q2 2014: 1074) = +14%

      * 1 )

The AJC properties will provide SAM with the potential to increase its resource base in North America utilizing the current cash flow of the San Martin mine. There is the potential for any of the AJC properties to have a significant discovery which would greatly increase SAM's resources and have a significant effect on the valuation of SAM with a relatively small capital cost.

      AJC Property Portfolio

      Toiyabe Property: Nevada, USA

AJC is currently focused on the Toiyabe property. With an indicated mineral resource of over 173,000 ounces of gold (Summary Report and Mineral Resource Estimate on the Toiyabe Gold Property, Lander County, Nevada, May 27, 2009 by Paul D. Noland, P. Geo., page 24)(1), the Toiyabe Property has demonstrated similar structural characteristics to the Cortez, Cortez Hills and Pipeline deposits, all located within 10 miles of the Toiyabe Property. A drill program encompassing RC and select Core will be developed to target/expand the deeper gold mineralization identified in previous exploration campaigns. There are no property payments required on this property until 2018.

      Sierra Rosario: Sinaloa, Mexico

Located within the historically productive Sierra Madre Occident geological province in the northern Mexican state of Sinaloa, the Sierra Rosario property consists of two large mineral exploration concessions totalling 978.57 hectares. AJC has entered into a joint venture agreement with International Northair Mines to explore the property and currently owns an unencumbered 50% interest in the property.

      Lone Ranch: Washington State, USA

Previous production and exploration work within and just adjacent to this property demonstrate the opportunity for development through exploration of the Lone Ranch property. A HEM survey was flown in 2007 which defined extensive areas of possible mineralized targets. The property is readily accessible and located within 20 miles of the Kettle River Processing facility operated by Kinross. There are no property payments required on this property until 2018.

      VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Nov. 20, 2014) -

      * 2 )

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Feb 19, 2015) - Further to its press release of January 23, 2015, Starcore International Mines Ltd. (TSX:SAM) (the "Company") announces that it has closed the transaction to acquire all of the shares of Creston Moly Corp. ("Creston" or "Creston Moly") from Deloitte Restructuring Inc., in its capacity as trustee in bankruptcy of Mercator Minerals Ltd. (the "Trustee"), at a purchase price of Cdn$2 million (the "Transaction").

The closing of the Transaction followed the Supreme Court of Canada discharging Creston Moly from bankruptcy, clearing the way for Starcore to continue with the development and further exploration of Creston's properties. Creston Moly was formerly a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mercator Minerals, who acquired Creston Moly in 2011 in a cash-and-shares deal valuing Creston Moly at approximately Cdn$194 million. Creston Moly is a British Columbia company that owns, through its subsidiaries, a 100% interest in three molybdenum-copper projects:

      The El Creston Project in Sonora, Mexico;
The Ajax Project in British Columbia; and
      The Molybrook Project in Newfoundland.

The most significant asset in this acquisition was the El Creston project in Sonora, Mexico which has been advanced to a completed Preliminary Economic Assessment ("PEA").1See News Release of January 23, 2015. The result of this study, which was based on higher metals prices, indicated that the El Creston molybdenum-copper deposit had a US $561.9 million net present value after tax (using an 8% discount rate), the internal rate of return (after tax) was calculated to be 22.3% and a capital cost payback was calculated to be four years.

The Ajax Molybdenum Property is comprised of 11,718 hectares and is located 13 km north of Alice Arm, British Columbia. The Ajax Property, one of North America's largest undeveloped molybdenum deposits occupying a surface area of approximately 600 by 650 metres, is a world class primary molybdenum property in the advanced stage of exploration.2

Creston's Molybrook molybdenum property located on the south coast of Newfoundland is centred 2.5 km from the outport of Grey River less than 4 kilometres from a deep water, ice free navigable fjord. The property hosts a 3 km long trend in which at least three zones of at surface molybdenum mineralization occur: Molybrook, Wolf and Chimney Pond. To date, almost all exploration has been completed on the Molybrook Zone where a large porphyry molybdenum deposit has been outlined.3

"We saw an opportunity to acquire a tremendously undervalued asset in Creston Moly, and we took it," said Robert Eadie, President of Starcore.
