TOKYO — Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. ('MOL') announced on July 13 that a consortium consisting of MOL and four other companies has been awarded a contract to equip and operate a new container terminal in Port of Rotterdam. The facility is scheduled to open in latter half of 2013.
MOL's partners of the consortium are APL (Singapore), Hyundai Merchant Marine (South Korea), CMA CGM (France), and DPWorld (Dubai).
MOL and the four other companies will jointly establish a terminal operation company, which will be named "Rotterdam World Gateway", and sign a 25-year lease contract with the port of Rotterdam.
The new container terminal will be equipped with the most advanced facilities as well as on-dock rail and road networks, and will serve as the gateway to Europe.
The consortium will operate and manage the most efficient and environmentally friendly container terminal possible in order to strengthen container services. The terminal will be a key hub in Europe.
MOL has enhanced its container services in Europe by proactive fleet expansion, and ensures the stability of its services.
In response to the booming European economy in recent years and anticipated growth in containerized cargo traffic, the company saw a critical need to develop a new terminal in Rotterdam to ease congestion in the port.

ich stimme dir voll und ganz zu, mitsui ist chancenreich! wenn man die wahrenstörme und deren prognostizierten steigerungen sieht dürfte es auf lange sicht sehr erfolgreich werden!

Was du sagst ist vollkommen richtig, deshalb ist es in meinen Augen auch eindeutig als Longinvestment gedacht

(ISIN JP3362700001 / WKN 862503) konnte seinen Vorsteuergewinn im abgelaufenen Fiskaljahr laut einem Zeitungsartikel voraussichtlich um 1 Prozent auf 179 Mrd. Japanische Yen (JPY) steigern, womit der Konzern das vierte Rekordergebnis in Folge eingefahren hätte.
Wie die japanische Wirtschaftszeitung "Nikkei" am Dienstag berichtet, prognostiziert der Konzern selbst nur ein Vorsteuerergebnis in Höhe von 175 Mrd. JPY.
Unterdessen sei der operative Gewinn unter anderem wegen der hohen Treibstoffkosten voraussichtlich um 4 Prozent auf 166 Mrd. JPY gesunken. Beim Nettogewinn habe der Konzern wahrscheinlich ein Plus von 5 Prozent auf 119 Mrd. JPY erzielt, die Erlöse könnten dabei um rund 15 Prozent auf 1,57 Bio. JPY gestiegen sein.
Die Aktie von Mitsui O.S.K. gewann heute in Tokio 2,35 Prozent auf 1.437 JPY. (17.04.2007)

TOKYO, JAPAN - Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL, President: Akimitsu Ashida) today announced that Standard & Poor\'s raised its long-term corporate rating on Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. by one notch from "BBB" to "BBB+," effective August 27.
S&P cited following reasons for the upgrade.
1. Improvement in cash flow stability through efforts to expand sources of stable income and moves to increase the number of long-term contracts, mainly in Dry Bulk and Tanker segments.
2. The policy of intensively focusing management resources on the shipping business is expected to further strengthen the company\'s business franchise as it plans to start using new, highly-cost-competitive vessels, which were ordered before rises in ship construction costs.
3. Given the prospects of solid business performance in the near term, the ratio of net debt to total capitalization (after marking adjustments for leases) is expected to remain on a stable, improving trend.
