HRN sichert mit dem PP nun die Möglichkeit auch ein 3. Drilling dann im Nugaal Block zu finanzieren, selbst wenn S1 und SN1 duster wären und die warrants daher nicht ausgeführt werden könnten. Es könnte vielleicht auch noch etwas von der sideline kommen. In Canada wird über ein farmin in die Offshore Lizenzen von MES spekuliert. MES muss bis Mitte Juli exakt $15 Mio. aufbringen, um die PSCs zugeteilt zu bekommen. Also gute Gründe für mehr operating capital gibt es schon...
Die Frage ist nur, warum jetzt und nicht als der SP doppelt so hoch lag??

Ich hoffe, AOI behält seine 51% an HRN und trägt somit selbst etwas mehr als $7,5 Mio. des PP. Da das Erfüllen des 2$ Kriterium für die Ausführung der warrants nun wohl mehr Zeit braucht, war das Placement vermutlich unvermeidlich....
Interessant btw., das Greg Bandy ordentlich Shares von RMP gekauft hat. Der scheint sich doch ziemlich sicher, dass Shabeel-1 und Shabeel North-1 am Ende große Erfolge sind....

komme gerade erst nach Hause und habe mir die Placement-Details kurz angesehen.
Für Altaktionäre sind das sowohl gute, als auch schlechte Nachrichten. Zuerst zum Negativen:
Wir werden hiermit verwässert und der Verkaufspreis von Horn wird damit für uns am Ende niedriger sein, wenn man mal von kommerziellem Öl ausgeht.
Dann zum Positiven:
Horn braucht dieses Geld eigentlich momentan nicht!
Ein Non-Brokered Private Placement geht in der Regel an Freunde/Bekannte der Direktoren. Man könnte dies so interpretieren, daß hier schnell noch ein paar Kumpels versorgt werden sollen, bevor kommerzielles Öl vermeldet wird.
(Siehe dazu auch mein englischer Post von vor ein paar Tagen, das geht im Prinzip in diesselbe Richtung)
Eine weitere Möglichkeit wäre zum Beispiel, daß hochrangige Politiker aus Puntland (und/oder Somalia) hier mitmachen dürfen. Reine Spekulation, aber meiner Ansicht nach eine nicht ganz unwahrscheinliche legale Form von Schmiergeld. (man errinnere sich z.B. an die Rechtsstreitigkeiten bezüglich der Lizenzen...)
Wir werden vermutlich nie erfahren, wer die Stücke letzlich zeichnet, daß haben solche Privatplatzierungen leider meistens so an sich.
Was auch erstmal positiv zu bewerten ist, ist die 4 monatige Haltefrist. Die Wahrscheinlichkeit ist sehr hoch, daß wir vor Ende dieser Frist Shabeel Nord gebohrt und ! getestet haben. Sprich es gibt ein klares Ergebnis:
Shabeel+Shabeel Nord sind kommerziell oder nicht.
Das würde bedeuten, daß die Neuen Investoren sich ziemlich sicher sind, ihr Geld in eine Erfolgsstory zu stecken,ansonsten wäre das Ganze ein sehr riskantes Investment, weil Sie bei einem nicht-kommerziellem Fund auf ihren Aktien sitzen bleiben,wenn -wie ich vermute- wir vor Ablauf dieser Frist ein Ergebnis haben.
Allerdings sollte man beim letzen Punkt bedenken, daß es durchaus sein kann, daß die neuen Aktien an Leute gehen, die auch jetzt schon investiert sind, was dazu führen könnte, daß diese Kurse über 0,80 CAD eventuell nutzen, um sich von ihren Altbeständen zu trennen, um nicht überexponiert zu sein, bzw. um die ganze Aktion zu refinanzieren. Wird man (wenn dies so ist) vermutlich in den nächsten Wochen merken.
Wir haben zur Zeit allerdings auch relativ große Handelsvolumina, und wenn dies in den nächsten Wochen so bleibt, dann könnten diese Aktien auch über einen gewissen Zeitraum vom Markt "verdaut" werden.
Also meiner Ansicht nach zwiespältige Meldung, deren wahre Wirkung man erst im Laufe der nächsten Wochen wirklich beurteilen kann.

Hier die Meldung von Red Emperor von heute. RMP hat die Option (wie erwartet) gezogen, einen 20% interest an Shabeel North1 zu erlangen. RMP scheint von dieser Entscheidung überzeugt...

has, today, exercised its option to participate in the drilling of the Shabeel
North well, schedule to be spud in the first week of June.

Inhaltlich geht es rund um die Frage, warum nicht durch das Basement hindurch gebohrt wurde, welche (theoretischen) Schlussfolgerungen aus hauptsächlich geologischer Sichtweise sinnvoll erscheinen.
Insgesamt sehr interessant wie ich finde, wenngleich mir leider die geologischen Kenntnisse fehlen die Aussagen zu bewerten.

der abhängigketsgrad nimmt immer mehr zu....wohl dem der sich davon fernhällt
wird nicht gut enden imo
da fühle ich mich im rohstoffsektor lichtjahre wohler...
