Gulf Keystone Petrol hat nur ein Problem, der Sitz ist auf den Bahamas meines Wissens nach!

Vast Exploration - MK = 142 Mio$ bei 173 Mio Aktien!

Gulf Keystone (GKP) - MK = 622 Mio$ bei wieviel Millionen Aktien, dabei gehört Ihnen nicht allein das ganze Feld (Sie haben nur einen Anteil) und der Wert ist schon fast 500% gelaufen und wie gesagt sie sitzen auf den Bermudas!

Ohne irgendjemand zu nahe zu treten, wollte ich hier den Thread LONGFORD ENERGY diskutieren!

Finanziell haben sie zumindest für die nächste Zeit, genug Handlungsspielraum.

Frontstreet hat übrigens etliche Fonds, aber auf Anhieb nicht den gefunden, der Longford enthält.

Iraqi Oil: Oil Files with Kurdistan to be resolved soon

Baghdad, April 14 (AKnews)- The problems of oil with the Kurdistan region are on their way to final solution, says a spokesman for the Iraqi Oil Ministry announced on Wednesday.

According to Assem Jihad, there are intensive efforts to end the suspended issues between the Federal Ministry of Oil and Kurdistan Government regarding the mechanism of oil exportation, oil fields and the region's share of oil.

"The ministerial committee is currently studying the legal mechanisms that allow the province to export oil to Turkey, in addition to files the committees couldn’t resolve earlier."

"The export of oil in Kurdistan to Turkey has an important economic benefit to Iraq", Jihad added.

He outlined that "the Ministry is seeking to resolve all the files especially the rights of oil companies, the distribution of revenues, the estimation of quantities and the requirements of the export process."

The Federal Ministry of Oil announced earlier that it was seeking to end the pendant files with Kurdistan Government through dialogue and understanding.

Meiner Ansicht nach ist die Korrektur durch, Cross trade von knapp 400000 Stück da wurde nochmal einmal einem Großen Einlaß gewährt!

Ab nächster Woche sollte es wieder langsam aber sicher grün werden!

Ich habe die Firma nun auch auf die Watchlist genommen, aber das ganze Konstrukt ist bisher nicht mehr als ein Stück Hoffnung im Wasserglas. Und von den angepriesenen 125 m Barrel gehören Longford auch nur 20%.

Also immer schön die Augen aufhalten worin man investiert.

PS: Von der politischen Unsicherheit will ich gar nicht erst sprechen.

Vielen Dank für Deinen kritischen Beitrag und die Sichtweise des politischen Risikos, die ich in jedem Fall mit Dir teil!

Vom Push möchte ich mal absehen, das nach 7-8 Tage rot und Konsolidierung, die Hoffnung einer grünen Woche, nicht an den Haaren herbei gezogen ist, dürfte für viele nachvollziehbar sein.

Das Longford Energy im Anfangsstadium exploriert sollten interessierte Leser aus den Beiträgen entnehmen können!

Die Beiträge sollen das Potential in dem Gebiet darstellen, und mit Vast Exploration hat Longford eine große Schwester deren Management identisch ist und somit gemachte Fehler bei Longford vermeiden könnte.

In Kanadischen threads wird gar von Merger also Fusion der beiden gesprochen!

Ich bitte in jedemfall um Entschuldigung wenn es bei manchen wie Push aussah oder angekommen ist!

Ich werde dies beherzigen und versuchen noch sachlicher zu berichten!

Mein Kursberechnung und Hinweise basieren aus charttechnischer Betrachtung und der Wert von 0,6 $ mit MK als Hinweis und Orientierung! Da steht nicht dran daß dies erreicht werden kann und muß! Aus dem Bericht (scotia capital) werden 0,45 $ + X (one year target) genannt! Siehe Bild:

Mich würde Deine Quellenangabe interessieren mit den 20% für die bereits im Thread von 125 auf 132 Mio to berichtigten bestmögliche Option des Ölfeldes! Mein Info lt. dem working interest liegt höher siehe Bild!

Dann kommt noch folgende Struktur Erdschichten hinzu, das heißt es müßte zum Öl auch Erdgas vorhanden sein!

Deine genannten 20% sind nach meiner Darstellung unrichtig !

Laut Auszug hat Longford mind. 50-75 % interest an dem Ölfeld!
Abzüglich aller royalties (government take analysis) liegt Longford von max. möglichen Contractor Take 58% immerhin noch bei 40%!

Im Thread wurde bereits von 125 auf 132 Mio to berichtigt bestmögliche Option des Ölfeldes!

Wenn du mir Deine Quelle mit den 20% noch nennen würdest, wäre ich Dir dankbar!

Schau dir einfach die Erwerbsmeldung aus 2009 an. Longford hat 50 einer Gesellschaft die 40% der Recht am Feld hat. Sind also 20%. Eventuell haben sie die Gesellschaft schon ganz übernommen, das wären dann die oben in deiner Tabelle angegebenen 40% von ihnen vom Kuchen gehört. Die von dir genannten 50 - 75% beziehen sich meiner Meinung nach darauf wer die Kosten für das Projekt zu tragen hat.

Auf den ersten Blick schauen mir Gulf Keystone und Western Zagros sogar einen Tick interessanter aus.

Ich denke der Scotia Bericht ist aktueller und da lese ich andere Zhalen heraus. GKP habe ich über ein 8 Monate beobachtet und analysiert im Moment von der MK für mich aber kein Einstieg mehr wert.

Western Zagros bin auch drauf gestoßen, da Sie schön von Ihren Hochs zurückgekommen sind.

Nur sind die ganzen Kosten, die anfallen, nur mit starken Partner machbar! Bei Western Zagros weiß ich noch nicht welche Funds investiert sind und ob starke Partner dabei sind!

Bei Longford weiß ich das Enel (Türkei), Quantum und diese Funds dabei sind:



Das sie mit Vast Ex. eine große Schwester haben und Ahmed Said in einigen wichtigen Gremien in Kanada und im Irak mit drin sitzt.

Ich bin deswegen trotz der Risiken eher positiv auf Longford Energy eingestimmt zumal die MK weit weniger und das Ölfeld eines der größten (nachgewiesenen ?) sein soll.

Vast und Longford zusammen haben nur etwas mehr 12 MK und nur 80 Mio Aktien mehr als Western Zagros!

Dazu kommt das LFD/VST zusammen mehr nachgewiesene P10 Vorkommen haben mit Chia Surkh/Quara Dagh (13400 mmbbl) zu WZR mit Sangar North (9129 mmbbl)!

Middle Iraq Oil Company to play key role in oil sector promotion

Erbil, May 2 (AKnews) – An Iraqi official has announced today that the Iraqi government has approved the establishment of a giant oil company in northern Iraq, which may play a key role in enhancing oil sector and supporting Iraqi national economy.

"The Iraqi Council of Ministers have agreed upon setting up the Middle Iraq Oil Company with a capital of 100 billion (b) Iraqi Dinars", the Iraqi acting Oil Minster Mua'tasam Akram said.

The huge quantity of oil in the northern part of Iraq, especially Kirkuk province, was the reason behind establishing the company, Akram added.

Producing, storing, exporting crude oil to the harbors, and potentially producing gas for exportation would become the future tasks of the Company, Akram concluded.

The upcoming well has been designed as a future oil producer, and upon successful testing, the Company intends to promptly build early production facilities and bring the well online.
Processing and interpretation of the recently acquired seismic data is ongoing to better define the additional surface structures identified within the block and a subsequent second drill location which is also expected to be spud in 2011. Over the upcoming months the Company expects to issue a revised independent resource estimate for the Chia Surkh Block based on the recently acquired seismic data.

Der frühe Vogel fängt den Wurm, hoffe ich auch diesmal.

Weitere Finanzierung(en) stehen an, ich nehme nicht an, das diese unter $0,30 stattfinden werden.
Neue Resourcenschätzung sollte auch kommen und als Area-Play profitiert LFD auch von guten Nachrichten aus der Region.

Bin auch mit einer kleineren Position in vast Exploration (TSX-VST) eingestiegen.

Gute Arbeit - ich bin leider zu früh rein die haben nochmal richtig an den Bäumen geschüttelt. Meine Chartanalyse geht bei solchen Venture Unternehmen nicht auf! Leider.

Aber dafür sollten wir ein jetzt Nachhaltigen Anstieg bekommen. Vast und Longford zusammen das gibt noch was !

Naja, zumindest bei Vast war mein Timing heute sowas von für die Tonne.
Den ganzen Tag kommt man kaum an Shares und kaum hat man sie, rauscht der Kurs in den Keller.
Hoffe LFD macht morgen den Quatsch nicht nach!

Also nun sind wir doch schon ein ganzes Stück gut gelaufen, ich denke das tempo wird sich aber noch in Richtung Norden erhöhen!

In dem Bericht stand 1,6 $ und die Wells sind voll mit Öl - Ich bin bereit!

Zumal aus dem Bericht des türkischen ENEL ENERJI hervorgeht das Chia Surkh mit 3,9 Bln Barrel Öl beinhaltet -

3,1 bln * bei 70 $ / Barrel (Schnitt) * 40% Anteil von Longford macht 86 Mrd $

Da kann man schon mal 3-4 Mrd für ein paar Bohrlöcher und Pipelines in die Hand nehmen!

Das schöne die seismischen Scans werden es einfach machen und entsprechend bestätigen wo das Öl am besten liegt. Teilweise muß man nur 1000 m Bohren!

Sometimes, it is simply impossible to predict the behavior of stocks on the markets. In many occasions, they react to announced news or events opposite to our expectations. It looks like such is the case with the recent performance of the shares of Longford Energy Inc. (CVE:LFD, LFD message board), (PINK:LFDEF).

3Longford_-_Logo.pngAfter dropping steadily during the last three months, they finally started to advance. This is not something so peculiar. The weird thing in the story is the moment they began their rebound. The progress of the stock started on Wednesday, the same day when Longford declared to have withdrawn its $15M bought-deal financing announced in April.

To me, (I admit, I am not a professional stock researcher) it does not sound like good news. Obviously, the offering was unsuccessful and the company is quitting its intention to secure $15M. Of course, this is not so terrible either. As Longford states in its press release, it "evaluates alternative funding proposals". The company claims it "has received a number of financing proposals" that need to be considered.

Longford_-_Chart-_27_May_2011.jpgStill, one question remains. Why did Longford enter into the mentioned bought-deal agreement at all, in the first place? The company starts doing something, announces it publicly and then abandons it.

Obviously, investors share quite a different point of view. Because they rushed the shares for a rise, not for a fall. Even more - yesterday the run-up of the stock was reinforced by a large volume too. 3.5M shares turned over beats several times the average trading activity and is a 3-month high. During the session, LFD climbed by 12% and finished the day at $0.235.

It is quite hard for me to predict a further rise in the stock price. The latest company financials filed on SEDAR reveal that Longford is really in need of capital. At the end of last year, the company had only $0.87M in cash. At the same time, the net loss for 2010 was $2.2M. To me, it seems that Longford needs cash, and quickly so.

Bis Mitte November 11 ist Longford mit Shorts richtig runtergeprügelt worden. Aktuell (30.11. - Wert vom 15.12. müsste heute/morgen kommen) sehr niedriger Bestand.
Mich hat schon gewundert, warum Soros sich ruhig verhalten hat. Jetzt wird es klar.
Wenn Genel 100 Mio. CAD für den 40%-Anteil zahlt, dann ist das nahezu ein Tenbagger.

Woher kommt die Vermutung, Genel würde 100 Mio für ein Stück Sand zahlen? Das lese ich nirgends heraus.
Abgesehen davon, wenn Genel 40% an dem Block von Longford kauft, dann hat Longford nichts mehr.
Die Nachricht hilft sicherlich kurzfristig dem Aktienkurs, aber von einer Verzehnfachung würde ich nicht träumen.
Ich denke, Genel ist in einer besseren Verhandlungsposition und wird sicherlich nicht mehr zahlen wollen, als Longford im Moment an der Börse kostet - knapp 14 Mio CAD.

Könnte eine gute Short-Gelegenheit werden, wenn der erste Hype nach den News wieder verflogen ist.

Tony Hayward will this week tighten his grip on Iraq’s sought-after Kurdish oil region with the acquisition of a controlling stake in another big oil field.

Genel Energy, the London-listed oil explorer run by the former BP chief executive, is already the largest producer in the region. The company is expected this week to announce a $70m (£45m) deal to buy a 40% share of the Chia Surkh block in the southeast corner of Kurdistan from Longford Energy, a small Canadian firm.

The move is the latest in a land grab that has broken out in the semi-autonomous region of northern Iraq. Kurdistan’s resources were ignored during the rule of Saddam Hussein but the regional government has signed exploration deals with more than 40 companies. Several made big finds but do not have the expertise or money to bring them into production.

Some have put themselves up for sale or are looking for partners with deep pockets.

Hayward formed Genel last year by merging a cash shell he set up with Nat Rothschild to acquire oil businesses with Genel Enerji, a Turkish firm that was one of the earliest entrants into Kurdistan.

Hayward has called it the last great oil frontier and said he wanted to acquire several others to create its biggest independent producer.

Interested ramped up further last year when Exxon Mobil, the world’s largest company, became the first oil major to acquire licences.

Genel already owns 20% of the Chia Surkh block, which covers more than 1,000 sq kilometres.

Other potential targets include DNO International, a Norwegian firm that is part owner of Genel’s two main producing fields. Hayward expressed interest in doing a deal with the company last year.

Genel declined to comment.

GENEL BOOSTS STAKE TO 80 PERCENT AND BECOMES OPERATOR IN KURDISTAN BLOCK

Genel Energy plc ("Genel Energy") today announces a step forward in its strategy to consolidate its position as a leading oil and gas player in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq by becoming the government's sole Contractor in the Chia Surkh exploration block.

The Company said today that it is to increase its interest in the block from 20 per cent to 80 per cent and will become licence Operator. Chia Surkh covers an area of 984 square kilometres in the southern part of the Kurdistan Region and has prospective resources estimated at more than 300 million barrels of oil equivalent.

Genel Energy is paying a total of $68 million for the 40 per cent interest currently held by Forbes & Manhattan (Kurdistan) Inc, a subsidiary of Longford Energy Inc. ("F&M"). This consists of $42 million to be paid directly to F&M and $26 million to be paid to the Kurdistan Regional Government in respect of F&M's outstanding obligations. Genel is also paying $26 million to Petoil Petroleum for their 20 per cent interest. Both transactions will be funded from Genel's existing cash reserves of some $1.9 billion. The Government will retain its existing 20 per cent carried interest.

Genel Energy's chief executive officer Tony Hayward said: "These are excellent deals for Genel. For what we consider a very good price, they give us 80 per cent of a high-quality asset in one of the last great hydrocarbon provinces accessible to international investors. Becoming operator will allow us to take the lead in shaping and driving forward a thorough exploration and appraisal programme.

"This is a block which saw a limited amount of surface exposure drilling in the earlier part of the 20th century, an era when explorers were seeking billion-barrel finds. Two of those historic wells tested hydrocarbons, one oil and the other gas.

"More recent seismic data, acquired in 2010, confirmed Chia Sukh as a faulted anticline that contains three or four structures we consider interesting," Hayward said. "Operations are already in train for an exploration well this year . We anticipate further drilling over the next two years as we conduct a comprehensive exploration programme to fully evaluate the block."

The acquisition will add some 183.4mmboe of unrisked prospective resources to the Genel Energy portfolio based on an estimate by independent US assessors McDaniel & Associates that Chia Surkh contained unrisked mean prospective resources of 305.7mmboe, as of 30 June 2011.

The transaction is conditional on the receipts of various consents, approvals and assurances, including from Longford's shareholders and the Kurdistan Regional Government and completion on or before 1 March 2012. The acquisition of Petoil Petroleum's 20 per cent interest is conditional on the completion of the Longford acquisition.

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Jan. 16, 2012) - Longford Energy Inc. (TSX VENTURE:LFD) ("Longford" or "the Company") is pleased to announce that it has entered into a definitive sale and purchase agreement to divest its 40 per cent undivided interest in the Chia Surkh Block in the Kurdistan region of Iraq (the "Transaction") to Genel Energy plc ("Genel") which is already a 20% interest holder in the Chia Surkh Block. As part of the Transaction the Company will receive consideration of USD $68 million, of which USD $42 million cash will be paid to Longford and $26 million will be paid directly to the Kurdistan Regional Government (the "KRG") as settlement for outstanding capacity building bonus payments, and related interest, due under the Chia Surkh Block Production Sharing Contract (the "PSC").

The Company acquired a 40% interest in the PSC in 2009. The three year first exploration term of the PSC was set to expire on June 11, 2012. Under the minimum work program obligations, Longford has an outstanding commitment for the drilling of two exploration wells, and a commitment to a minimum expenditure of USD $20 million over the next 5 months, which cannot be realistically fulfilled (financially as well as operationally) in a timely manner. This expected non-performance, and the risk of contract expiration and cancellation, was a key consideration in the Transaction.

As a part of government approval for the Transaction, Longford has entered into an assignment and novation agreement with the KRG, Genel and Petoil Petroleum and Petroleum Products International Exploration and Production Inc. amending the terms of the PSC. Pursuant to this amendment, if Longford is unable to secure the requisite shareholder approval for the Transaction by March 1, 2012, Longford has agreed to assign its interest in the Chia Surkh Block back to the KRG without compensation. As consideration for this amendment, the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Kurdistan Region has indicated to Longford that it will support the Transaction when submitted for final approval to the Regional Oil & Gas Council.

Davon geben sie $0,10 pro Aktie an die Aktionäre.
Bei 182 Millionen Aktien macht das $18,2 Millionen, die weg gehen.

$42 Millionen - $18 Millionen macht $24 Millionen, die übrig bleiben.

Was bei 182 Millionen Aktien einem Kurs von ca $0,13 entspricht.

Der Kurs spiegelt also den NAV der irma korrekt wieder.
Außer den 24 Millionen hat die Firma denn dann keinen Besitz mehr.

IMHO immer noch recht überbewertet, den Cash werden die schon schnell genug wieder verbrennen.

The heavy trading action recorded for Longford Energy Inc. (CVE:LFD) (PINK:LFDEF) on Tuesday gave a hint that traders are expecting yet another gap up. The situation remains tense as the stock has a history of dealing with large volumes without much price action.

LFD stock price went up 6.5% on Tuesday turning a trading volume of 4.5 million, which was significantly above the average of 1.84 million. The price remained in consolidation range while LFD was listed among the most actively traded stocks on the Toronto Venture Exchange.

Taking it into perspective Longford might be able to repeat the success it had around the beginning of 2012 when the price gaped up twice on a short notice. Traders are pushing it because the company's fundamental situation is about to change.

To date Longford held a large shareholder's equity value only because on paper they had included the incurred exploration costs as a long term asset. In reality they had a working capital deficit of $26.2 million.

Ich habe mal im Management Information Circular zur Abstimmung nachgeschaut. Dort steht hinsichtlich der Dividendenzahlung folgendes:

The Board believes it is in the best interest of the Shareholders of the Corporation to make a cash payment to registered shareholders of the Corporation as at a record date to be announced.


Demnach ist die Dividendenzahlung noch nicht in Stein gemeißelt. Das Datum, an dem man im Besitz der Aktien sein muss, um die Dividende zu erhalten, wird noch bekanntgegeben.

According to the Contingent Assignment Agreement signed between the parties on January 31, 2012, the company had until March 1, 2012 to obtain approval of the Kurdistan Regional Government for the Sale Transaction. Ende letzten Jahres ging das Gerücht, das Salida pleite ist.
Salidas Aktienfonds zeichnen sich für deren Anleger auch nicht gerade durch soetwas wie positive Performance aus:



Und das, obwohl sie sich auf Energie und Resourcen spezialisiert haben.
Viel Ahnung scheinen sie bei der momentanen Hausse in dem Bereich und den miesen Fondszahlen im Gegensatz dazu ja von dem Thema nicht zu haben.

Salida plant also eine Revolution, und planen anscheinend den kommenden Geldregen für LFD anderweitig zu verwenden, als das Management es bisher geplant hat.
Würde mich nicht wundern, wenn die Cashzahlung an die Aktionäre gekippt wird und Salida das Geld in ein oder mehrere ihrer gescheiterten Investments umleiten will.

Wie gesagt wird Salida seit einiger Zeit als Wackelkandidat mit Cashproblemen gehandelt.

Denn da steht IMHO klipp und klar, das sie andere Ideen haben, was mit dem Geld passieren soll. Strategische Transaktionen ... um den Wert von Salidas Investment zu steigern (strategic transactions ... to enhance the value of its investment in the Issuer).
Muß nicht unbeding heissen, das was gut für Salida ist, auch gut für die restlichen LFD Aktionäre ist.
Riecht verdächtig danach, das sie sich mit wenig Einsatz (ein paar Mio nur für die Aktien) die große Schatztruhe unter den nagel reissen wollen.

Den Vorstand wollen sie ersetzen.
Der CEO darf vielleicht bleiben, wenn er mit Salida stimmt.
Und mit mehr als 20% hat man bei jeder Abstimmung mehr als gute Chancen.
Es zählen ja nur die abgegebenen Stimmen.
Wäre weiss gott nicht das erstemal, das ein Hedgefund die Kontrolle über eine Firma und deren Vermögen mit 20-25% der Stimmrechtsanteile übernimmt.
Beispiele gibt es zu Hauf.
Ich denke, die Cashzahlung an die Aktionäre ist vom Tisch.

Das bisherige Management verschärft zusätzlich die Regeln für den Austausch von Board-Mitgliedern, Goodwood und Salida sollten damit aber klarkommen.

Auch interessant ist der genannte Stichtag für die Stimmberechtigung auf der Hauptversammlung, der 3. August (kommender Freitag). Auf Stockhouse wird vermutet, dass deshalb nächste Woche noch einmal Kaufdruck aufkommen könnte. Vor zwei Wochen waren wir mit sehr dünnem Volumen schon mal bei 13 CAD-Cent, vielleicht geht es jetzt noch etwas höher. Bei 12 CAD-Cent lagen am Freitag jedenfalls gerade einmal 29.000 Stücke (für 3.480 CAD), also fast gar nichts.

GENEL ENERGY MAKES SIGNIFICANT OIL DISCOVERY IN FIRST CHIA SURKH WELL

The Anglo-Turkish oil and gas independent, Genel Energy, today announced that the first of five exploration wells it plans to drill this year in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq has made a significant oil discovery.

The Company said the Chia Surkh 10 well was drilled to a depth of 1,696 metres in the Oligo-Miocene section, and, in tests extending over several days, flowed at up to 11,950 barrels of oil a day and 15 million cubic feet of gas. The oil was 41 degrees API and well-head flow pressure 2,000 pounds a square inch.

Chia Surkh 10 was drilled on a large thrust-fault, controlled structure with up to 94 square kilometres of closure. A second drill-stem test is being planned for the Miocene section, after which the well will be suspended as a future producer.

Genel Energy chief executive Tony Hayward said the well confirmed the presence of 'a significant oil find' and that the Company had this week begun drilling a second well, Chia Surkh 11, to appraise the discovery.

"We intend to carry out a rapid appraisal and development programme and expect to have an early production scheme operating in the first half of 2014. Over the same period we will be evaluating and drilling a number of other prospects we have in the Chia Surkh licence," Hayward said.

"We are delighted at this level of success in what is the first of the five high-impact exploration wells we plan in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq during 2013. To have made a discovery of such potential materiality at this early stage is highly encouraging," Hayward said.

Chia Surkh 10 is the first exploration well to be drilled on the Chia Surkh acreage since 1954. The 985 square kilometre licence is operated and held 60 per cent by Genel Energy. The remaining 40 per cent is held equally between Petoil, Inc. and the Kurdistan Regional Government.
