ich habe mich heute im Internet bei Denic und Internic mal auf die Suche gemacht und Domain-Namen gesucht. Zu meiner Verwunderung wurde weder bei Denic bzw. internic die Domainnamen : Redcliff-Production.de,.com,.net usw regristriert. Auch andere Domains wie Redcliffproduction, my Redcliff usw. sind noch erhältlich. rcp und Redcliff sind vergeben, wobei rcp etwas mit Computer und Redcliff etwas mit einem Berg zu tun hat.
Nun meine Frage: Wenn eine Firma wie AM etwas großes mit Redcliff aufziehen will, sichert man sich dann nicht auch im voraus die Domains ? Redcliff Production will mit AM 2002 - 2 Filme heraus bringen mit Peterson als Produktionsleiter, bis jetzt sind aber noch nicht einmal Die Namen der Drehbücher bekannt. Jegliche Kursfantasie wird hier genommen. Keine Domains, Keine Produktionstermine, Keine Drehbücher, Keine Infos einfach nichts zu Redcliff. Selbst Suchmaschinen tun sich schwer über Redcliff Productions überhaupt etwas zu finden. Also wenn Redcliff überhaupt etwas vor hat in 2002, dann sollten jetzt aber langsan mal ein paar Fakten kommen,oder????

Hier der aktuelle Text, den man auf der DVN-Hompage findet.
Ist wohl nicht mehr ganz aktuell und müsste überarbeitet
werden. Der Fehler in der Jahreszahl ist dort wohl auch
noch keinem aufgefallen. Im Prinzip ist nun auch egal, da
2001 wohl keine Projekte realisiert werden.
Es wäre natürlich interessant zu erfahren, warum erst
nächstes Jahr die Sache in Angriff genommen werden soll.
Was die anderen Projekte betrifft: hat dort jemand Kenntnis was realisiert wird und was nicht ?


Projekte
Achtung Dreharbeiten! Die folgenden Projekte realisieren wir derzeit gemeinsam mit unseren Partnern:

Metro Goldwyn Mayer (MGM)
Die Gaunerkomödie "Heartbreakers" mit Sigourney Weaver und Gene Hackman finanzieren wir gemeinsam mit dem US-Major MGM. Deutscher Filmstart der Produktion wird Mitte 2001 sein.
Die Teenager-Komödie "Ghost World" mit Steve Buscemi und Thora Birch finanzieren wir ebenfalls zusammen mit MGM. Der Film befindet sich derzeit in Post-Production, der deutsche Kinostart ist für 2001 vorgesehen.
Die Komödie "Avon Ladies" mit Bette Midler ist ein weiteres gemeinsames Projekt mit MGM. Der Film befindet sich derzeit in den Produktionsvorbereitungen, Produktionsbeginn ist voraussichtlich im März 2001.

Natural Nylon
Den Spielfilm "Marlowe" finanzieren wir gemeinsam mit der britischen Produktionsfirma Natural Nylon. Der Film befindet sich derzeit in den Produktionsvorbereitungen, Produktionsbeginn ist voraussichtlich im März 2001.

Davis Panzer Productions Ltd. / Quinta Communications
Den Spielfilm "Midnight Return" finanzieren wir gemeinsam mit Davis Panzer Productions / Quinta Communications. Der Film befindet sich derzeit in den Produktionsvorbereitungen, Produktionsbeginn ist voraussichtlich im Februar 2001.

Red Cliff Productions
Der Thriller "Fear Itself" ist unser erstes gemeinsames Filmprojekt mit Wolfgang Petersen. Derzeit wird die Besetzung festgelegt, der voraussichtliche Drehbeginn wird im März 2000 sein. Als weiteres gemeinsames Filmprojekt mit Petersen ist der Spielfilm "Café Berlin" vorgesehen, der ebenfalls in 2001 in Produktion gehen soll.

Granada Film
Den Spielfilm "Found in the Street" finanzieren wir zusammen mit der britischen Produktionsfirma Granada Film. Als weiteres Projekt soll gemeinsam mit dem Team von "Grasgeflüster" die britische Komödie "All American Men" realisiert werden.

Ob jemals Bei Red Cliff ( für AM ) produziert wird, wissen wir allerdings immer noch nicht!!!!

Gerade mit den Vorhaben Red Cliff und W. Petersen wurden die restlich vorhandenen Hoffnungen zu NICHTE gemacht!!!!!
Oob bewußt oder unbewußt geschah weis ich nicht. Ich weis aber, das man damit jedliche Kursphantasie aus dem Kurs genommen, und das restliche Anlegervertrauen gänzlich zerstört hat.
Nicht umsonst bewegt sich der AM Kurs nicht positiv, obwohl man mit Heartbreakers ein HEIßES EISEN im Feuer hat.

Nicht „HB“, sondern die oben beschriebenen Tatsachen sind der Grund für die derzeitigen Kurssituation. Das behaupte ich einfach einmal!
Und mich würde es deshalb nicht wundern, wenn wir wieder Kurse zu 0,65 Euro sehen werden.

Herr Dauer & Co. sollten sich nicht nur zu Red Cliff, sondern auch zu den anderen geplanten projekten deutlich, ausführlich und ehrlich äußern!
Wir wollen wissen was die Fakten sind, nicht mehr und nicht weniger!!!

Man hat zwar auf WO-Anfrage einige Dinge andeutungsweise auf den Tisch gepackt, aber das Groh bewußt zurückgehalten.

Da dürfen wir uns sicherlich noch auf EINIGES gefaßt machen!!!

Ich hoffe nicht, das sich wieder einige AMler angepinkelt fühlen, weil ich KLARTEXT Rede. Aber so und nicht anders sieht die REALAITÄT nun einmal aus! Und ich finde, das man dies auch offen an- und aussprechen sollte!

Immerhin geht es um unser Geld, das wir dem Unternehmen und seinen Verantwortlichen anvertraut haben!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

da schein ich wohl jemanden auf eine Idee gebracht zuhaben, die Domainnamen Redcliffproductions.com bzw. Redcliffproductions.net sind nicht mehr zuhaben. Ich glaube aber nicht das diese Domains von AM regristriert worden sind, da die Domains mit Endung tv , org usw. noch erhältlich sind. Große Firmen sichern sich dOmains mit allen Endungen.

ich war selbst am überlegen ob ich mir die kompletten Domains mit dem Namen Redcliffproductions sichern sollte, aber mir fehlt zur Zeit die Perspektive. Sollte es doch sein das Redcliffproductions noch einige gute Filme produziert, nimm Ihnen nicht zuviel Geld ab. Das drückt dann wieder den Kurs oder auch nicht!!!!!!

Du siehst, ich verfolge DVN trotz ausstieg noch. Ich habe auch nochmal geforscht und zum Film "Fear itself" noch eine Page gefunden, hier:

Wie zu lesen, ist die Seite am 27. Mai aktualisiert worden, also kümmert sich der Host um aktuelle Daten. Bei meinem letzten Posting zu Wolfgang Petersen gab er auch nur an: "er würde nicht wissen was er in Zukunft machen wuerde" (so ähnlich) auf jeden fall wuerde er erst wieder 2002 einen Film mit MGM/Warner drehen wollen. Von Produzieren eines Filmes dieses oder naechstes Jahr hielt er sich bedeckt oder brachte das erst gar nicht zur Sprache (was darauf hindeuten koennte, dass auch er erstmal abwartet wielange DVN noch existiert!).

Ich habe mal nach anderen Produktionen von DVN nachgeschaut.
Gefunden habe ich etwas über Ghost World (Start Juli 2001)
und Marlowe (Produktionsbeginn auf Sommer 2001 verschoben).
Auf andere Projekte von DVN habe ich keinen Hinweis ge-
funden (das war`s wohl auch ?)



Ghost World

Greg`s Preview Thoughts: When 99% of the public is asked about what they think about movies based on comic books, they`re going to mention the superhero stuff. Of course, they would, because the general populace doesn`t know about the wealth of alternative comics out there that have nothing to do with the cape-and-tights crowd. There was a time in the late 1980`s when it seemed like "smart comics" were so close to becoming mainstream, but it never happened. Creators like Daniel Clowes (Eightball) keep going however, and he gets the distinction of being among the first to have one of his stories brought to the big screen. The marriage of stories written graphically and film is a no-brainer in my opinion, since both art forms are about the moving image, ie, both are "sequential art". Heck, the storyboards that many films employ to lay out scenes, are essentially comics, so any comic book can be seen as an outline for a film. In a way, comics are a more cerebral form than film because they rely on the imagination of the human mind to fill in the steps between one panel and another, not unlike how a painting inspires you to imagine it in different forms. You can read all about the concept of sequential art in the excellent Understanding Comics by Scott McCloud (and also check out a detailed satire of it here: YABS!) and find out about the neverending struggle to bring comic books to film at comics2film.com. Of course, all that being well and good, most people don`t think of comic books in such highfalutin` ways. Comics remain in the gutters of testosterone-driven heroics and extremely tight trousers for most. How refreshing then that Ghost World is being adapted to film so that people might discover the art that inspired it, and maybe open another door to the world of non-heroics comics. As a film project, Ghost World has an unique niche as well. It`s about how teen culture (and really culture as a whole) has become cynical and gossipy, although this is something that`s been long in the works. The characters in Ghost World could be set in 1985, 1995, or 2005... the saturation of our society isn`t new, and the niches that teens find themselves in run even farther back. It`s interesting that director Terry Zwigoff is tackling Ghost World, his first feature of fiction after his acclaimed documentary, Crumb, about comics legend R. Crumb. Though Clowes never goes quite for the sensational side of comics that Crumb is best known for, there`s another side of Crumb`s work that`s less publicized, but which is very much in the spirit of Ghost World, and that`s his stories of his teen years (though his view of girls is far, Far, FAR different). The comparison of Crumb to Clowes is of course intended to illustrate how perfect Terry Zwigoff is probably suited to adapt this story to film. It`s quite exciting. As mentioned above, the casting appears to be dead on for this film, and the caliber of young actresses that have been mentioned as leads (Ricci, Sobieski) that *won`t* be in the film is impressive as well... clearly, the word is out that this is a high-prestige project for two young actresses, and everyone`s agents were hard-at-work to land the parts. (4/18/00) Illeana Douglas has joined the cast. (4/20/00) So has Ezra Buzzington. (5/11/00) David Cross, Bruce Glover (Crispin`s dad), and Teri Garr have joined the cast. (5/17/00) United Artists has released the first publicity still from the film, which is seen above. (5/23/00) Filming has wrapped. (5/28/00) This film is scheduled to be released in January, 2001. (9/28/00) Fantagraphics has set up a page for the movie, including several images of Birch and Johansson as Enid and Rebecca. (12/10/00) United Artists has moved this back from January to sometime later in the spring of 2001. (1/8/01) The official site is now up and active, complete with trailer, and it`s all quite, quite, cool. The anticipation for this one is building quickly. (2/27/01) Fantagraphics has announced the target date as June, 2001. (4/18/01) UA is now aiming for August. (5/17/01) It`s been confirmed that the August 3rd, 2001 release will be limited... what isn`t known is whether that means just LA/NY or a few hundred screens. Cast Note: (4/18/01) With filming scheduled to start this summer during the likely SAG strike, it`s now unlikely that Johnny Depp, once reported to be in talks to play Christopher Marlowe, would be involved (since he`s a SAG member). Director: John Maybury (1998`s Love is the Devil)Screenwriters: John Maybury (Love is the Devil), Alex Ayres, John Brownlow (debuts)Based upon: This movie is based upon the life of 16th century British playwright, spy, and heretic Christopher Marlowe (author of Dr. Faustus) who died at the age of 29, stabbed in the eye during a tavern brawl after recently getting out of prison for heresy and treason. Premise: Christopher Marlowe and William Shakespeare (Law) were both playwrights who wrote during the Elizabethan period of the late 16th century. Im März hatte ich schon einmal diese Info in ähnlicher Form bei Arando reingestellt.

Kann gut sein, das zwischen AM und Petersen krach im Hause ist. Vielleicht gibt es ja auch Vertragsklausel, die dazu geführt hat, das Red Cliff deshalb im April 2001 nicht mit der ersten Filmproduktion begonnen hat.
Merkwürdig ist auch die 51%zige Übernahme von AM an Red Cliff. Ob das ein auschlaggebnder Punkt ist???

Schlauerweise hat Redcliff noch nicht mit der Produktion in USA begonnen, da die Filmwelt immer noch von einer Streikwelle bedroht ist.
