Nach meinem Verständnis hat die Aktie ihren Turnaround schon geschafft. Nach dem Tiefststand bei 0,73 USD geht es langsam, aber stetig aufwärts.
Sollten die Zahlen gut ausfallen, dürften der Kurs die 3 USD locker und dauerhaft überschreiten.

Ich war schon mal in Vignette investiert und habe -vor etwa 1 Jahr- mit Verlust verkauft, um stattdessen in Interwoven zu gehen. Sieht m.E. günstiger aus, was die Bewertung betrifft.
Es ist sehr interessant, diese Beiden zu beobachten. Was mir immer wieder auffällt: mal steigt VIGN stark an, dann wieder IWOV. Natürlich geht`s auch in die andere Richtung. Ich glaube, die US-Investoren schichten öfters mal um- von der einen in die andere Aktie.
Beide hatten ihre Probleme und zuletzt neue Kunden gewonnen. Der Turnaround ist in greifbarer Nähe.

Heute war eine unverhältnismäßig große Lücke zwischen Kurs und Ask. NASDAQ-Kurs umgerechnet 2,21 EUR, ask hier bei 2,38 EUR - das wollte ich nicht bezahlen!

Kennt eigentlich jemand den Grund für die 7,81% gestern? Habe keine News gefunden. Da MUSS aber was gewesen sein. Der Umsatz war fast dreimal so hoch wie der Durchschnitt!!!
....kann mir nur vorstellen, dass für den gestrigen Kursanstieg die Übernahme von Documentum (DCTM)durch EMC verantwortlich ist.
DCTM ist ebenfalls Hersteller von Content-Management-Software und da kommen natürlich Übernahmephantasien auf....
Zudem schaut euch mal die Marktkapitalisierung von DCTM an...VIGN ist meines Erachtens vom Produkt her deutlich überlegen....

Sometimes an acquisition is more than just an acquisition. It`s a signal that a major trend is underway. This appears to be the case with EMC`s (NYSE: EMC) recent purchase of Documentum (Nasdaq: DCTM).
The price tag -- $1.7 billion -- is a clear sign of serious interest in the content management space. Let`s face it, corporate America is inundated with data. With new federal legislation, like Sarbanes-Oxley and the HIPAA privacy regulations for healthcare, companies must manage data in a structured way (just ask Frank Quattrone about the importance of storing and managing data).
But this is only part of the story. Hardware companies are rethinking their strategies and as a result, looking at software. IBM (NYSE: IBM), the first to do this, is a powerhouse in hardware and software for storage. Now, with its acquisition of Documentum and Legato, EMC has a similar platform.
Put plainly, consolidation in content management is inevitable. Hardware companies such as Veritas (Nasdaq: VRTS), Network Appliance (Nasdaq: NTAP), and Brocade (Nasdaq: BRCD) do not want to be left without a software strategy. And don`t overlook Sun Microsystems (Nasdaq: SUNW), which is desperately in need of a new strategy for growth.
The targets? Prospects will share the attributes of Documentum -- solid technology and market share. And only a handful make that cut: FileNet (Nasdaq: FILE), Interwoven (Nasdaq: IWOV), Open Text (Nasdaq: OTEX), and Vignette (Nasdaq: VIGN).

Der Konzern aus Austin, Texas, meldete einen Verlust exklusive Sonderaufwendungen von 1,1 Mio. Dollar oder 0 Cents je Aktie. Analysten erwarteten ebenfalls ein Ergebnis von 0 Cents je Aktie. Im Vorjahreszeitraum lag der Verlust noch bei 9,5 Mio. Dollar oder 4 Cents je Aktie.

Zu "Der Kurs geht wohl eher nach unten." stimme ich Dir zu, nachbörslich gings ja in den USA auch 6,07% runter. Schade.
Na da bin ich aber froh, daß ich wie bei i2 auch vor dem großen US-Absturz rausbin. War ja offensichtlich, Macromedia wurde sogar trotz Übertreffen der Analystenerwartung mit -35% abgestraft.
Naja, geht mit absoluter Sicherheit bald wieder hoch. Ich werde wohl nächste Woche wieder investieren, wenn der Kurs konsolidiert hat.

So, bin wieder investiert. Kurs heute schön im Plus, ist ja nach dem Absturz kein Wunder, daß die Leute ihre Aktien günstiger wieder zurückkaufen.
Am Ende etwas weniger Plus, aber immerhin noch 4,26% auf 2,45 USD zum Schluß. Mit 4,2 Mio gehandelter Aktien sieht das ganze auch so aus, als würde viele Anleger nachlegen/wieder einsteigen. Der Umsatz somit doppelt so hoch wie sonst.

Das freut mich, bin zwar momentan nicht investiert, gehört aber zu meinen "Lieblings-"Werten neben i2 Technologies (ITWO) und Critical Path (CPTH).
Fre@k, was hältst Du von denen? Gehören in dieselbe "Schublade".
Aber ich denke, Anfang des nächsten Jahren kann man sicher noch günstiger rein, das ist aber für ein Langfristinvestment sowieso egal.

Vignette ist auch seit Oktober im Abwärtstrend, allerdings schön zum Mitzocken. Bald müßte es wieder einen Satz nach unten geben - dann könnte man spekulativ mal einsteigen und auf einen kurzfristigen Rebound hoffen, der sich bei den letzten Malen immer bestätigt hatte.

Ich habe mal die letzten wichtigen Unternehmensnachrichten hier aufgeführt und finde, daß Vignette wirklich großes Potential aufweist. Zum einen scheint sie wieder kurz vor dem Break-Even zu stehen(evtl. jetzt schon im 4. Q. Ende Jan.)und zum anderen geben die guten Vertragsabschlüsse des letzten Jahres allen Grund zu Annahme, daß das nächste Jahreshoch nur noch eine Frage der Zeit ist. Also ich für meinen Teil bleibe investiert und sehe gespannt und mit viel Hoffnung auf diesen Wert. Mein pers. nä. Ziel: 4€. Hier die letzten News aus 2003:

IBM und Vignette bauen strategische Allianz aus

Der Software-Hersteller Vignette Corp. gab am Donnerstag bekannt, dass er seine bestehende strategische Allianz mit dem Computerhersteller IBM Corp. ausbaut, um Lösungen zur besseren Verwaltung von Content in unternehmensweiten Intranets einzubeziehen.
Im Rahmen der erweiterten Vereinbarung wurde Vignette der erste zertifizierte Web Content Management Partner in der IBM Dynamic Workplaces-Initiative. Diese neue IBM-Initiative stellt ein umfassendes Angebot an kollaborativen Intranet-Technologien wie beispielsweise eMeetings, eLearning, eHR und Instant Messaging bereit. Diese tragen dazu bei, dass Unternehmen ihre Kosten senken und die Effizienz der Mitarbeiter steigern können.
Angesichts der derzeitigen wirtschaftlichen Lage benötigen Unternehmen Technologien, mit denen sie nicht nur ihre Effizienz steigern, sondern auch Wettbewerbsvorteile erzielen und die Arbeitskräfte der Mitarbeiter erhöhen können. Branchenanalysten schätzen, dass die wesentlichen Elemente des Markts für elektronische Arbeitsplätze in diesem Jahr einem Wert von nahezu 12 Mrd. Dollar entsprechen. Der Software-Entwickler Vignette gab heute bekannt, dass die Ergebnisse des vierten Quartals besser als erwartet ausgefallen sind. Analysten hatten bisher mit Umsätzen in Höhe von 30-32 Mio. Dollar gerechnet. Genaue Angaben machte das Management allerdings nicht.
Zudem gab Vignette bekannt, dass der Abbau von 20 Prozent der Arbeitsplätze planmäßig verläuft. Das Unternehmen reagiert damit auf die Übernahme von Epicentric, wodurch Überkapazitäten entstanden.
Die Aktie reagiert auf diese Meldung mit einem Plus von 14,7 Prozent auf 1,48 Dollar.

Vignette fällt trotz gesteigertem Gewinn und Umsatz
Die Softwarefirma Vignette Corp. gab am Donnerstag die Zahlen des abgelaufenen vierten Quartals bekannt, worauf die Aktien mit deutlichen Abschlägen reagierten.
Im Gegensatz zur Vorjahresperiode fiel im vierten Quartal 2003 ein Nettogewinn von 10,3 Mio. Dollar oder 4 Cents je Aktie an. Der Umsatz lag bei 39,2 Mio. Dollar, wovon 16,2 Mio. Dollar auf Lizenzeinnahmen entfielen. Im gesamten Geschäftsjahr wurden 158,3 Mio. Dollar eingenommen und ein Nettoverlust von 33.000 Dollar eingefahren.
Thomas Hogan, CEO von Vignette, zeigte sich sehr zufrieden mit der Leistung seiner 800 Mitarbeiter. Die beabsichtigte Akquisition von Tower Technology bezeichnete er als einen wichtigen Schritt innerhalb des laufenden Geschäftsjahres. Die Übernahme wird das Unternehmen 45 Mio. Dollar in bar und 80 Mio. Dollar in Aktien kosten.
Die Vignette-Aktien verlieren 9,57 Prozent und notieren bei 2,55 Dollar. Tower Technology notiert unverändert bei 0,15 Dollar.
