TV-Loonland`s Animation Hit "Cramp Twins` tops ratings in the UK

Already 3 million viewers on BBC - Number one on Cartoon Network UK - To air in other countries starting in 2001

TV-Loonland CEO Peter Völkle wins "Kids Entertainment Elite Award`

Munich, November 20, 2001 - Just a few weeks after its launch, the new TV- Loonland production "Cramp Twins` ranks as the animation series with the very top ratings in the UK among children in the 4-14 age group (Source: Broadcast). On average the series is watched by as many as 3.3 million viewers on CBBC of BBC One, the leading British television network. Because of this remarkable success, "Cramp Twins` has also been included in the Saturday Morning Show, the new weekly highlight program on Saturday mornings. On Cartoon Network UK, the most popular cable and satellite channel for children in the UK, the daily broadcasts of "Cramp Twins` have garnered the number one spot on weekdays from Monday through Friday in the 4-9 age group, as well as the largest market share among all children`s programs in the same time slot.

Still this year, "Cramp Twins` will be launched in three important additional European countries: In Germany the series will air starting on December 14, 2001 (at 2:00 p.m. daily) on KI.KA, in France starting in December 2001 on TF1, the leading private network in France, and on Antenna 3 in Spain starting in December 2001 as well. In Italy, "Cramp Twins` will be launched in mid-2002 on RAI. TV-Loonland AG has been producing "Cramp Twins` at its subsidiary Sunbow Entertainment in co-production with Cartoon Network UK, and the company holds the worldwide exploitation rights. Outside of Europe, the series has already been sold to Fox Kids Latin America, among others, where broadcasts are slated to start in 2002.

In part because of "Cramp Twins`, Peter Völkle, founder and chairman of the managing board of TV-Loonland AG, has been awarded the Kids Entertainment Elite Award in the December issue of Kidscreen, the US industry magazine, as one of the world`s two most successful producers in kids` entertainment. Particular emphasis was placed on the successful international expansion of TV-Loonland, on the high quality of its creative approach, and on the successful integration of development, production, sales, marketing and licensing/merchandizing under the corporate umbrella of the TV-Loonland Group. Völkle is the only non-American and non-Brit among the award winners.

Peter Völkle notes: "We`re enthused about the great success of the "Cramp Twins` in the UK and can`t wait to see the development in the other large markets. "Cramp Twins` is a very promising series and has the potential of becoming a worldwide hit."

Finn Arnesen, VP of Development, Programming & Acquisitions at Cartoon Network UK adds, "It`s just great news all round. A lot of hard work, creativity and collaboration have gone into making this show a hit for kids on Cartoon Network and elsewhere. It is very satisfying to see that the show resonates with our audience in increasingly competitive time slots."

Theresa Plummer-Andrews, Head of Acquisitions and Co-productions, Children`s Department adds, "`Cramp Twins` is a quality animation series and compliments the CBBC schedule as a whole. It is popular with the audience who clearly enjoy a series that has such strong production values."
