Hi Leute!
Danke
f.o.n.
P.S
Gruss an das Continuum

KUV 2000: 1,73
Uppsala, Sweden, October 26, 2000
Interim Report
January-September 2000
Read the report
Continued strong growth
Turnover increased 31 percent to SEK 151.4 million (115.4).
The number of employees at the end of the period was 225 (138), an increase of 63 percent.
The strategic build-up of services gave a strong sales increase in deployment services and consulting, to SEK 50.2 million (7.5), corresponding to 33 (7) percent of total sales.
Organic growth of almost 35 percent within deployment services and consulting during the third quarter.
Increased volumes of transaction-based business in accordance with future income model. Examples of this are deals with Deutsche Post of Germany, Phoenix International Freight Services Ltd in the US and Asia Pacific Cargo of Hong Kong. The major part of the revenue from these assignments will be realized in the first quarter of 2001 onwards.
Focus on mobile Internet generates increased business
During the third quarter, Nocom`s investments in the mobile Internet resulted in new, profitable business agreements with Skandiabanken and Braathens, among others.
At the beginning of October, Nocom and Europolitan formed a joint company, MR Mobile Relations AB, to focus on sales of mobile intranet and extranet solutions.
Nocom`s software platform for the mobile Internet, Mobilectrl, was adapted for the strategically important financial and travel sectors with Mobilectrl Finance and Mobilectrl Travel.
Issue of new shares ensures continued expansion
The issue of new shares in February provided Nocom with SEK 230 million.
The strong financial position, combined with the build-up of expertise, gives Nocom the necessary prerequisites of taking full advantage of the present market opportunities.
Mobile investments and expansion burdened earnings
Operating profit/loss before depreciation was SEK -25.3 million (4.9).
Profit/loss before tax was SEK -37.5 million (1.9).
The substantial investments in technology, market and organization, approximately SEK 30 million, burdened profits according to plan.
Acquisitions resulted in leading position within e-logistics and supplemented Nocom`s complete offering
On August 14, 2000, acquisition from SAS was finalized for 70 percent of TradeVision AB, a global leader in e-logistics.
During the first six months of the year, the following companies were acquired: Hera AB in Uppsala, a leading agency for industrial market communication; Interactive-TM AB in Gothenburg; a specialist company in imaging and new media; and Cyberink Information Systems AB in Stockholm, an Internet consulting company.

1)Nocom´s TradeVision signs major contract with the WIN Group
2)Sterling Courier selects Nocom`s TradeVision to provide real-time traffic management

Was ist eigentlich los ?

Nocom`s TradeVision to develop new cargo concept
TradeVision & Braathens signs MOU
Global provider of Internet-based EDI services to the transport
and logistics business, TradeVision - a company in the Nocom
Group - has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with
Braathens, member of KLM`s cargo alliance. The two parties will
develop a new concept for airline cargo business based on the
Internet.
The co-operation will comprise the full range of current
TradeVision systems covering functions such as; AWB issuance,
cargo space control, track & trace, logistics and supply chain
management.
"Braathens, like most other airlines, is facing a huge challenge
in the market to adapt to new information technologies driven
by t he Internet, e-commerce and e-logistics. Customers
demand unified a nd customised solutions adhering to new
industrial standards, often developed by players outside the
airline cargo community," Stein-Arve Sørensen, Braathens
cargo manager, sales & marketing, said.
"Above all, customers require open access to Braathens` cargo
systems, including communication venues based on mobile and
WAP platforms. Our market comprises a complex entity of
forwarders and industrial customers. Two options were open
to us: either to initiate an own concept and product
development, or implement a new system already available in
the market. By signing the MoU with TradeVision, long-term
provider of EDI services to Braathens Cargo, we actually
managed to have it both ways!"
"Under the MoU, TradeVision purports to make available to us
any TradeVision system currently available, and future product
developments to match our needs. Also, TradeVision
undertakes to develop any new functionality as required by
Braathens Cargo within a new, comprehensive concept for
web-based airline cargo business. Thus, Braathens` need to
maintain an own in-house airfreight system will fade."
"The new concept will change the whole set-up, from start to
end. At the front end, new web-based and mobile
communication venues will provide customers with immediate
and individualized access to Braathens Cargo, including
reservations and bookings. All along the chain of movements,
customers will be able to track and trace shipments and
exchange information with parties involved. And at the end of
the process, TradeVision will provide real-time POD, or
discrepancy reports according to customer preferences."
"Braathens is seeing a strong growth in volumes this year,
with 80 percent of all shipments sold at lead-times between
4-6 hours. Also, 80 percent of all Braathens cargo is now sold
within long-term logistics contract with industrial customers.
This highlights the stress on cargo space control to optimise
the utilization of cargo capacity. All adding to the quest for an
integrated, sophisticated and cost-efficient air cargo system,
now to be implemented through the partnership with
TradeVision," Sørensen said.
"Besides rejoicing at the MoU with a treasured, long-term
airline customer like Braathens, TradeVision sees this event as
an impetus in re-thinking the airline cargo industry. The
traditional airline adherence to a complex legacy system to
manage the air cargo business has been challenged by
Braathens` decision to solve the emerging market needs
through partnership," Allan Harsbo, TradeVision senior vice
president marketing & sales, said.

Nocom - one of the winners in the UMTS license awards
Nocom consolidates its position, as
Europolitan`s network becomes the
market`s most future-proof alternative
for mobile business solutions
The decision on Saturday to award Europolitan one of the four
UMTS licenses for third generation mobile telephony gives
Nocom AB, a close partner of Europolitan, tremendous market
advantages.
"Europolitan`s early focus on the corporate market gives both
Nocom and Europolitan an enormous head start on its
competitors in terms of the development of the mobile Internet
in the Swedish market," says Anders Jonson, founder of
Nocom. "Following an EU decision last spring, operators will be
forced to allow third party players to access the wireless
networks, which means that only networks that are compatible
with GSM, GPRS and UMTS can be profitable within a
reasonable time frame."
Together with Europolitan, Nocom owns Mobile Relations AB,
which markets and sells mobile Internet services to the
corporate market. Mobile Relations combines all the resources
of a leading mobile operator with the knowledge of an IT
company about how to build efficient intranet and extranet
solutions. Through Nocom, Mobile Relations is able to utilize
and sell capacity in the Europolitan network and is one of the
world`s first virtual operators focusing on mobile business
solutions. The company is 49 per cent owned by Nocom and 51
per cent owned by Europolitan.
"We are delighted that Europolitan has succeeded in
consolidating its leading position in the market as the most
future-proof network for mobile business solutions," says
Tomas Nygren, CEO of Nocom. "Our decision to co-operate with
Europolitan provides our customers with the market`s best and
most competitive solution. We can now concentrate on
corporate mobile solutions, and these will be brought into
operation step by step using GSM, GPRS and then UMTS, thus
ensuring that both we and our customers are winners."
