On August 1st, 2004, MB Tech spun off Faserware,Inc, its former R&D Center located in Dongseoul College, Seongnam City, Korea, from MB Tech, Korea as a wholly owned subsidiary of MB Tech, Inc. Faserware has the R&D facilities and intellectual properties as assets with no liabilities. The new company will be specializing in the antenna sector of the company`s business to develop manufacture and sell antennae-related products of MB Tech such as the auto positioning Flat Antenna, phased array antenna, in motion tracking antenna, etc.
Mr. Hanwook Bae and Mr. Teakwan Cho, President and CTO respectively, of MB Tech will manage Faserware.
The satellite antenna products industry is fast growing and Faserware is expecting to record sales of nearly $30 million in retail sales just from the initial product offering of the portable auto positioning flat antenna alone. Besides the antenna business, Faserware will function as an R&D center for MB Tech as well.
Mr. Bae, President of MB Tech said, " This announcement has two meanings: First, we are planning to focus more on higher margin segments of the satellite industry like auto positioning antenna, phased array antenna, marine tracking antenna and military navigation systems. As CEO of the new company, I will do my best to succeed in the antenna business, both in North America and elsewhere. Secondly, we are reorganizing MB Tech Korea`s assets along its core strengths to create a more efficient cost structure."
MB Tech is a global manufacturer and distributor of electronic components. MB Tech and its subsidiaries produce products for the DBS satellite industry and state of the art RF microwave and communications technologies with consumer and military applications.
