Unislamische Kleidung - Extremist erschießt Ministerin
In Pakistan ist eine Ministerin von einem islamischen Fanatiker erschossen worden. Nach Polizeiangaben tötete er die Frau, weil sie sich nicht nach islamischer Sitte gekleidet habe. Der mutmaßliche Täter sagte einem Fernsehsender, er habe den Willen Allahs ausgeführt.

Islamabad - Die Sozialministerin der Provinz Punjab, Zilla Huma Usman, wollte sich mit Parteikollegen in ihrem Büro im Stadtzentrum von Gujranwala treffen. Das Attentat wurde verübt, als sie aus dem Auto stieg. Der Angreifer zückte die Waffe und schoss ihr aus nächster Nähe in den Kopf. Huma erlag im Krankenhaus ihren Verletzungen.

Der mutmaßliche Attentäter Mohammad Sarwar wurde festgenommen. Der Mann war bereits 2002 von der Polizei wegen des Verdachts, zwei Prostituierte getötet zu haben, festgehalten worden. Er musste damals jedoch wegen Mangels an Beweisen wieder auf freien Fuß gesetzt werden. Der Polizei zufolge gehörte er keiner politischen Organisation an und war ein Einzeltäter.

Er habe Gottes Auftrag ausgeführt, sündige Frauen zu töten, sagte der Täter anschließend einem Fernsehinterview. "Wenn ich wieder frei komme, werde ich all diese Frauen töten, die nicht den rechten Weg gehen", fügte Sarwar hinzu. Der Mittvierziger gehört keiner extremistischen Gruppe an, ist allerdings schon bekannt für seinen Fanatismus. Ein Polizist sagte: "Er betrachtet es als Missachtung von Allahs Lehre, dass eine Frau Ministerin wird".

Die 35-jährige Ministerin war mit einem landestypischen Shalwar Kameez gekleidet - ein Kostüm, das vor allem berufstätige Frauen in Pakistan tragen. Anders als die meisten Frauen in islamischen Ländern bedeckte die Ministerin nicht ihren Kopf.
Die zweifache Mutter gehörte der Partei Muslimische Liga an, die Pakistans Präsident Pervez Musharraf unterstützt. Huma hatte sich besonders für die Rechte von Frauen eingesetzt: Im April 2005 unterstützte sie die Austragung eines Volkslaufs mit weiblichen Beteiligten, der in Krawallen endete. Bewaffnete Islamisten hatten versucht, das Rennen gewaltsam stören.

Bei islamischer Kleidung geht es darum, körperliche Reize nicht zur Schau zu stellen (gilt übrigens auch für Männer). Frau Roth ist davon überhaupt nicht betroffen.

conny hat schon irgendwie recht. Das Verhalten des Mannes ist inakzeptabel und schärfstens zu verurteilen. Das ist keine angemessene Form der Konfliktauseinandersetzung. Der Ministerin hätte aber klar sein müssen, dass Pakistan mit seinem explosiv aufgeheizten islamistischen Klima denkbar schlecht geeignet ist für "Experimente" emanzipatorischer Natur. Dafür gibt`s andere Länder, wo die Bärte kürzer und die Messer stumpfer sind. Wo die Luft so bleihaltig ist wie in Pakistan, wo ständig und von überall her irgendwas dummes passieren kann, da ist es ziemlich unvernünftig sich mit dem Kopf aus dem Schützengraben zu wagen.

Günter Grass, Claudia Roth und Volki Beck sehen das ganz genauso.

ja connor, bush hat die lunte gelegt, deshalb massakrieren extremisten weltweit ihre glaubensbrüder und ungläubige. die armen können sich quasi gar nicht anders helfen.

Powell bedauert Irak-Rede

Der frühere US-Außenminister Colin Powell distanziert sich von seiner Rede vor dem Uno-Sicherheitsrat, mit der er im Februar 2003 den geplanten Irak-Krieg gerechtfertigt hatte. Die Rede sei ein "Schandfleck" in seiner politischen Karriere, sagte er in einem Interview.

Washington - Es fühle sich "furchtbar", dass er damals angebliche Beweise für Massenvernichtungswaffen vorlegte habe, die sich als falsch erwiesen haben, sagte Powell dem Sender ABC News in einem Interview, das heute ausgestrahlt werden soll. Powell hatte unter anderem Satelliten-Fotos von angeblichen Lastwagen mit mobilen Biowaffen-Labors vorgeführt.

Den damaligen CIA-Chef George Tenet nahm Powell in Schutz. Tenet habe an die Belege geglaubt. Das Geheimdienstsystem habe jedoch nicht gut funktioniert. "Es gab Leute beim Geheimdienst, die zu der Zeit wussten, dass einige der Quellen nicht verlässlich waren, und sie haben nichts gesagt. Das hat mich vernichtet", sagte der Ex-Minister.

Ihm seien "keine Belege" für einen Zusammenhang zwischen dem Irak unter dem damaligen Präsidenten Saddam Hussein und den Terroranschlägen bekannt geworden, die am 11. September 2001 in den USA verübt wurden, sagte Powell. Ungeachtet dessen sei er "froh", dass Saddam Hussein nicht mehr im Amt sei.

Über die Entwicklungen nach Saddams Sturz äußerte Powell sich skeptisch. Die USA hätten die Verpflichtung, den Irak als Gesamtstaat zu erhalten. Dafür müssten die Sunniten in den politischen Neuaufbau einbezogen werden. Es dürfe nicht passieren, dass sich "ein Mini-Staat im Norden, ein größerer Mini-Staat im Süden und eine Art Nichts in der Mitte" herausbilde. Zudem kritisierte Powell in dem ABC- Interview die Vorbereitung auf den Hurrikan "Katrina".

Bereits im März räumte Powell in einem Interview mit dem "Stern" Fehler bei der diplomatischen Vorbereitung des Irak-Krieges ein. "Wir waren dabei wohl manchmal zu laut, zu direkt, zu polternd vielleicht", sagte er. Namentlich kritisierte er Verteidigungsminister Donald Rumsfeld, der Kriegsgegner wie Frankreich und Deutschland als "altes Europa" abqualifiziert hatte. "So etwas hat nicht gerade vertrauensbildend gewirkt", sagte der Ex-Minister.

Beeindruckende Karriere

Powell wurde am 5. April 1937 als Sohn jamaikanischer Einwanderer in New York geboren. Als Soldat ging er in den sechziger Jahren für zwei Einsätze nach Vietnam und erhielt mehrere Auszeichnungen. 1977 wurde er militärischer Berater beim Verteidigungsminister. 1983 plante Powell die Invasion Grenadas mit, 1986 den Luftangriff auf Libyen und 1989 den US-Einsatz in Panama. 1986 wurde er Drei-Sterne-General und Kommandeur des Fünften US-Armee-Korps in Deutschland, im Januar 1987 Stellvertreter von Sicherheitsberater Frank Carlucci im Nationalen Sicherheitsrat. Ende dieses Jahres stieg er zum Sicherheitsberater unter Präsident Ronald Reagan auf.

1989 wurde Powell Vier-Sterne-General und kommandierte alle Landstreitkräfte in den USA. Im selben Jahr stieg er zum Vorsitzenden der Vereinigten Stabchefs auf und wurde damit der höchste Militär im Verteidigungsministerium unter Präsident George Bush senior. Vor dem ersten Golfkrieg plädierte er zunächst für eine Sanktionsstrategie und gegen einen Angriff. Nach der Vertreibung der Iraker aus Kuwait sprach er sich gegen einen Marsch auf Bagdad aus, unter anderem wegen des fehlenden Uno-Mandats. Bush senior folgte damals seiner Empfehlung.

In seiner Zeit im Verteidigungsministerium entwickelte er die so genannte "Powell-Doktrin". Danach sollten die USA einen Militäreinsatz stets mit überwältigenden Mitteln führen, um den Gegner rasch niederzuwerfen. Zudem sollten die Vereinigten Staaten nur dann Kriege führen, wenn "vitale nationale Interessen" betroffen sind, friedliche Mittel ausscheiden, die Öffentlichkeit hinter dem Einsatz steht, die Ziele klar definiert sind und es eine "exit strategy" gibt - ein Konzept, wann und wie der Konflikt zu beendet werden kann. 1995 bot ihm Bill Clinton den Außenministerposten an, doch Powell lehnte ab.

Im März 1996 trat er der Republikanischen Partei bei. 2001 wurde Powell mit 65 Jahren erster schwarzer Außenminister der USA. Anders als Rumsfeld hielt Powell zunächst wenig von einem neuen Krieg im Irak. Doch er verhielt sich Präsident Bush gegenüber loyal. 2004 reichte er nach der Wiederwahl von George W. Bush junior seinen Rücktritt ein - und zog sich weitgehend ins Privatleben zurück.

Dazu müßtest Du erstmal Deine peinliche Oberlehrer-Attitüde ablegen und Deine Islam-Phobie behandeln lassen, oder, wie hier gestern einer schrieb: "Heizkessel, geh doch mal in eine Kneipe und erzähl dort den Leuten Deine Weisheiten". Du wirst schon wissen warum genau das Du nicht tust.

interessante erfahrung, wie tief man bei linken heuchlern fallen kann, wenn man es wagt, eigene gedanken zu verfolgen, und vom vorgebenen mainstreamkonsens abzuweichen. schon hat man den versammelten hass am hals, ist mir aber auch recht. von einem menschenverachtenden zyniker wie dir, der opfer instrumentalisiert, wenn sie von der "richtigen" seite umgebracht werden, und ansonsten nur müll redet, lasse ich mir das gerne gefallen.
