Digital Fusion President Takes on New Role
Wednesday August 1, 8:13 pm ET
HUNTSVILLE, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Digital Fusion, Inc. (Pink Sheets: DIGF - News), an information technology ("IT"), research and engineering, and acquisition and business support services provider, announced today that Gary Ryan will be retiring from his position as President, effective as of next week's quarterly Board meeting. Ryan, who has served Digital Fusion, Inc. as its President since May of 2004, will continue as a Director on the Digital Fusion Board. Ryan will also take on additional Board duties as the Chairman of the Board's Strategy Committee, and remain active in the Company's managerial and strategic operations as an in-house consultant. Ryan's retirement will allow him more time to pursue personal interests and hobbies, as well as to focus more on the future business strategy of Digital Fusion.
"After almost three decades in various management positions with Huntsville companies, the time has come for me to step back from daily operations work and concentrate more on strategic tasks, freeing me up to spend more time with my family. We've done an amazing job at Digital over the last three years with a great team of people, and now I feel that I've accomplished what I set out to do when I agreed to become President several years ago," said Ryan.
Ed Rawlinson, who joined the company in September 2004, will continue in his role as the Chief Operating Officer of Digital Fusion, while taking on additional responsibilities from Ryan.
Frank Libutti, Chief Executive Officer of Digital Fusion, said, "I admire and respect Gary Ryan both personally and professionally. His leadership has made Digital Fusion one of Huntsville's most successful small, high-tech companies. Gary's hard work and outstanding performance has furthered our company's goals by substantially increasing revenues, and successfully securing a strong management team capable of moving Digital Fusion well beyond its historical performance levels. We look forward to continuing to work with Gary as a board member and consultant, and will rely heavily on his wisdom as we move forward."
