Lynn Lake Development Budget

The 2021 capital budget for Lynn Lake is $13 million, including $6 million for development activities and $7 million for exploration. Development spending will be focused on ongoing environmental baseline work to support permitting of the project, community engagement, and other engineering and geotechnical work.

The Environmental Impact Study (“EIS”) for the project was submitted in the second quarter of 2020, initiating a permitting process which is expected to take approximately two years. This would be followed by approximately two years of construction assuming a positive construction decision.

• Alamos hat 3 prod. Assets: 2 x CAN (Ontario), 1 x MEX (Sonora)
• Torex hat 1 prod. Asset: 1 x MEX (Guerrero)

Alamos zahlt seit 2013 eine kleine Dividende.

Dividend payment represents 33% increase from previous quarter

TORONTO, Nov. 24, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Alamos Gold Inc. (TSX:AGI; NYSE:AGI) (“Alamos” or the “Company”) today announced that the Company’s Board of Directors has declared a quarterly dividend of US$0.02 per common share.

Quarterly Dividend Increased 33%

As announced in October 2020, the Company has increased its quarterly dividend by 33% to an annual rate of US$0.08 per common share. The increase reflects the Company’s strong free cash flow outlook following the completion of the lower mine expansion at Young-Davidson in July 2020. The Company has paid dividends for 11 consecutive years during which time $187 million has been returned to shareholders through dividends and share buybacks.

The dividend is payable on December 21, 2020 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on December 7, 2020. This dividend qualifies as an “eligible dividend” for Canadian income tax purposes.

Dividend Reinvestment Plan and Suspension of Optional Cash Purchases

The Company has implemented a dividend reinvestment and share purchase plan (“DRIP”). This gives shareholders the option of increasing their investment in Alamos, at a discount to the prevailing market price and without incurring any transaction costs, by electing to receive common shares in place of cash dividends. For shareholders that elect to participate in the DRIP, common shares will be issued from treasury at a 3% discount to the prevailing market price.

Enrollment in the DRIP is optional. Further information on the plan, including the forms needed to enroll, are available on the Company’s website at http://www.alamosgold.com/investors/Dividend-Reinvestment-Pl… In order to be eligible to participate in the December 21, 2020 dividend, enrollment must be completed by 4:00 pm EST on the fifth business day prior to the December 7, 2020 dividend record date.

The Company hereby notifies shareholders, in accordance with Section 9.4 of the DRIP, that Optional Cash Purchases (as defined in the DRIP) with this, and any future declaration of dividends are suspended immediately until further notice. Any written requests to make Optional Cash Purchases will not be processed, and such requests and any previously received funds will be returned to the participant by the Plan Agent (as defined in the DRIP). Accordingly, the Combined Pre-Authorized Debit Agreement/Option Cash Purchase Voucher sent to participants with their respective statements will no longer be accepted and enrollment for the pre-authorized debit service will no longer be available until further notice.

Officers from Mexico’s Federal Protection Service (SPF in Spanish) are to form a new police force whose sole purpose will be to keep the country’s mining operations safe.

According to El País newspaper, the official launching of the group is expected in the coming hours, with the Secretariat for Citizen Safety and Protection, the Secretariat of Economy and Mexico’s Mining Chamber all involved in the event.

Initially, the new force will be joined by 118 officers from the SPF who received special training on the security of mining operations back in September. The plan is to, eventually, have a team of at least 1000 people to satisfy the demand from mining companies.

The decision to focus on the mining sector follows recent incidents in which criminal bands – normally connected to drug cartels – entered a number of operations and stole considerable amounts of gold and silver.

Among the most recent and notorious incidents are April’s robbery at Alamos Gold’s Mulatos gold mine also in Sonora, and March’s attack on Fresnillo’s Sonora state mines, with very few details provided by the Miners’ Association of Sonora. Just five months prior to this attack, a truck travelling from Fresnillo’s Noche Buena mine in Sonora was intersected by armed criminals who stole between $6 million and $8 million in doré bars.

“Mining represents one of the key industries for the country’s development and for its economy, as Mexico is among the top places when it comes to the production and export of a number of materials,” the SPF said in a media statement. “However, in recent years, [mining] has been affected by criminal groups that have impacted operations and hurt this sector. This is why Mexico’s president asked the Secretariat of Economy and Citizen Protection to double their efforts when it comes to the security of these operations. Thus, the decision has been to designate the SPF as the group in charge of this important work.”

The SPF is part of the Secretariat for Citizen Safety and Protection. Its officers provide services similar to those of private security agents, such as building watch and acting as bodyguards in sectors considered strategic by the government....
