SoftBank also wrote down 944 billion yen in "uncollectable" loans it made to SB Northstar, a subsidiary that bought publicly listed tech stocks and derivatives tied to them, because it has "incurred significant investment losses." Of the total, 315 billion yen will be personally covered by Son, who owns 33% of Northstar.

US judge determines Elon Musk’s 2018 tweets were inaccurate and reckless

Porritt said it is rare that a judge decides that a defendant knowingly made false statements in summary judgment before a jury trial begins. The remaining issue is what damages the intentionally false statement has caused to shareholders, Porritt said.

Antwort auf Beitrag Nr.: 71.541.825 von faultcode am 11.05.22 02:23:53Auch Tesla-Super-Bär Gordon Johnson ist das mit EM's Aussagen bzgl. Shanghai beim letzten CC aufgefallen:
11.5.
At the time, he said he thought Elon Musk "likely lied" when he claimed on the conference call that "the most likely vehicle production in Q2 will be similar to Q1, maybe slightly lower, but it's also possible we may pull a rabbit out of the hat and be slightly higher".
Gordon Johnson: Tesla's April Sales In China "Implode", Fall 98% Sequentially, Despite Musk's Comments To The Contrary
https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/gordon-johnson-teslas-apri…

Februar kurzfristig drehte

Federal regulators are investigating Elon Musk’s late disclosure last month of his sizable stake in Twitter Inc., according to people familiar with the matter, a lag that allowed him to buy more stock without alerting other shareholders to his ownership.
The Securities and Exchange Commission is probing Musk’s tardy submission of a public form that investors must file when they buy more than 5% of a company’s shares, the people said. The disclosure functions as an early sign to shareholders and companies that a significant investor could seek to control or influence a company.
The Tesla Inc. chief executive made his filing on April 4, at least 10 days after his stake surpassed the trigger point for disclosure. Musk hasn’t publicly explained why he didn’t file in a timely manner.
The SEC investigation hasn’t been previously reported. An SEC spokesman declined to comment. An attorney for Musk didn’t respond to a message Wednesday seeking comment.
Musk likely saved more than $143 million by not reporting that his trades had crossed the 5% threshold, said Daniel Taylor, a University of Pennsylvania accounting professor, since the share price could have been higher had the market known of the billionaire’s growing stake.

"production at fairly high levels"/EM != "production is resuming at limited levels"/Zach

...
First, we’ve lost about a month of build volume out of our factory in Shanghai due to COVID related shutdowns. Production is resuming at limited levels, and we’re working to get back to full production as quickly as possible. This will impact total build and delivery volume in Q2.
Beim Meister klang das dann so u.a.:
Alex Potter from Piper Sandler:
...Obviously, if this COVID lockdown things gets out of hand, clearly that’s going to continue impacting Shanghai, but is there a point at which it could actually also impact other facilities?
--> Elon Musk (51:59):
Yeah, if it were to continue. There are some parts that are sourced in China that apply worldwide, and that would impact production elsewhere. But all indications are that we’re out … Because Shanghai is back in production at fairly high levels already, and so our suppliers … So we don’t think this is going to be a big deal.
=> "Shanghai is back in production at fairly high levels already" halte ich mal wieder für glatt gelogen.
