auch die UAW wollte Fabrikschliessungen in den USA durchsetzen, konnte sich damit aber nicht durchsetzen und nun ist wohl ein Kompromiss im Gange:

Zur Zeit sieht es nicht danach aus, daß sich der Sheriff durchsetzen kann.

Der ist schließlich ein Nobody und kann nicht einfach die Auto-Fabrik des EV-Jesus zusperren. Auch wollen das einige Politiker eher nicht so.

Aber:
• Fremont könnte Gefahr aus Nevada drohen zwecks Batterie-Versorgung, wenn dort die Politiker eine andere Meinung haben, was "not an essential business" ist:

Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) plans to operate its Fremont factory after the San Francisco Bay Area begins a three-week lockdown due to the coronavirus outbreak, according to Electrek.

The automaker's Fremont factory sits in Alameda county, which is one of the six covered by the shelter in place order. The order included a category for "auto-supply" in naming exemptions to the lockdown, although it's unclear if Tesla landed the exemption.

In a letter to employees, CEO Elon Musk stated that no Tesla employees have tested positive for coronavirus and his opinion remains that the harm from the coronavirus panic far exceeds that of the virus itself.

Toll. Wirklich toll. Die Vulnerabilität von Tesla Mitarbeitern (und republikanischen Spitzenpolitikern) ist Null. Das scheint mir eine erstaunliche Erkenntnis.

ich hatte sowas schon mal im letzten Sommer/Spätfrühjahr 2019 auf dem Plan: eine vorübergehende Schließung von Fremont

So kann sich das Virus dort weiter ungehemmt ausbreiten, und er, Elon Musk, die erkrankten Mitarbeiter bei Abwesenheit einfach nicht mehr reinlassen == kalter Rausschmiss

Auf der anderen Seite: er braucht die Autos!!
Und zwar als Pfand für die ABL's (Asset Based Loans)

Gali meint ja, daß Tesla soviel Cash hätte, um 2...3 Quartale ohne Output zu überstehen,m also nur OPEX und kein CAPEX (was aber mMn nicht stimmt, siehe ABL's):



Immerhin: Gali geht von einer Rezession in den USA aus. Er spricht sogar apokalyptisch von einer (möglichen) "Global Depression"


Nebenbei: ab 07:00 meint Gali, daß eine weitere Kapitalerhöhung "would really hurt them"
