(Munich, January 01, 2001) By taking over avolon academy and
Softmatics training business within only one month, TRIA has
gained a head-start through significant critical mass in the
promising Hamburg IT training market.
Similar to TRIA, Softmatic Education focuses on high-end IT
training for IT managers, IT administrators, and software
developers. This target group typically has a significant
influence on decisions regarding IT projects, TRIAs second
business line (TRIA IT-consulting).
Softmatics training professionals bring in extensive project
experience from Softmatics software business. With over 500
employees, Softmatic is a well-known software provider for
small and medium enterprises. By transitioning Softmatics
training activities, both Softmatic and TRIA are consistently
concentrating on their respective core business and competency
software development and sales at Softmatic, and IT
consulting, IT projects and IT training at TRIA software AG.
Similar to the take-over of avolons training centers, TRIA
anticipates one-off integration costs in the first quarter.
Integration costs, for instance, will result from merging
avolons and Softmatics training locations in Hamburg and from
updating IT training equipment.
As of the second quarter, extensive cross-selling between
TRIAs business lines IT consulting/projects and IT training is
expected to yield significant synergy. Furthermore, cost
savings can be achieved by providing a comprehensive, uniform
training portfolio and by jointly utilizing trainer pools.

Tria übernimmt Trainings-Aktivitäten von Softmatic

München (vwd) - Die Tria Software AG, München, sieht mit der Übernahme
der Aktivitäten der avolon academy und der Trainingsaktivitäten von
Softmatic AG, Norderstedt, den Standort Hamburg "aussichtsreich
positioniert". Ähnlich wie Tria fokussiert Softmatic Education einer
Ad-hoc-Mitteilung zufolge den Bereich der High-End-IT-Trainings für
IT-Manager, IT-Administratoren und Software-Entwickler. Softmatic sei mit
über 500 Mitarbeitern einer der namhaften Software-Anbieter für den
Mittelstand.

Analog zur Übernahme der Trainingszentren von avolon rechnet Tria damit,
dass auf Grund der Integrationsthematik entsprechend einmalige
Integrationskosten im ersten Quartal entstehen. Zu den Einmalkosten zählten
z.B. die Zusammenlegung der Trainingsstandorte (avolon academy, Softmatic)
in Hamburg, der technologische Update des Trainings-Equipments sowie
allgemeine Integrationsaufwände. Vom zweiten Quartal an würden durch
flächendeckendes Cross-Selling zwischen den Geschäftsbereichen
IT-Projekte/IT-Consulting und IT-Training Synergieeffekte erwartet.
Andererseits ließen sich durch ein übergreifendes Trainingsangebot und
