Uranium Energy Corp Announces the Appointment of Clyde Yancey as Chief Geologist and Brad Moore as Exploration and Land Tenure Specialist
Tuesday April 25, 9:00 am ET
Additions of Yancey and Moore Bring Significant US Uranium Exploration and Development Expertise to the Company and Accelerates the Development of the Company's Foundation Project in South Texas

AUSTIN, Texas, April 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Uranium Energy Corp (OTC Bulletin Board: URME - News; "the Company") has appointed Clyde Yancey as Chief Geologist, and Brad Moore as Exploration and Land Tenure Specialist. Both were officers of Moore Energy Corporation, which recently sold its strategic 30-year US uranium database to the Company (see press release dated April 20, 2006).

Mr. Clyde Yancey has been appointed Chief Geologist for the Company. Mr. Yancey received his BSc in Geology from Trinity University, San Antonio, Texas in 1975, and his MSc in Geology from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in 1978. He began his professional career with the USGS -- Uranium and Thorium Resources Branch in 1978. He continued working in uranium development through 1989 while employed in exploration and in-situ mining production for such firms as Wyoming Minerals Corporation, Caithness Mining Corporation, Mobil Oil, and Moore Energy. During this period, he discovered several uranium deposits including the Weesatche and Southeast El Mesquite. From 1989 to the present, Mr. Yancey has concentrated on reclamation investigations at various uranium mill tailings sites throughout the southwestern United States for mining companies, government agencies and First Nations. Also during this time, he co-authored numerous professional papers on groundwater reclamation and compliance related to uranium. Mr. Yancey is currently a Registered Professional Geologist in Wyoming and Texas.

Brad Moore has been appointed as Exploration and Land Tenure Specialist for the Company. Mr. Moore received his BBA in Marketing and Geology from the University of Oklahoma in 1976. He also completed numerous uranium and nuclear energy courses and symposia at the Colorado School of Mines. From 1978-81, while with Rio Alto Minerals, Mr. Moore developed the West Cole uranium ore body in Webb County, Texas, until its acquisition by Tenneco. From 1982 to 1990, with Moore Energy, he was responsible for developing numerous uranium ore bodies in Texas and Wyoming.

The addition of these uranium professionals will be essential for the Company's strategy in key US states of Texas, Wyoming, and New Mexico. In addition to having over 20 years of experience each in uranium exploration and development in Texas, they also have intimate knowledge of the properties and exploration databases that were acquired as part of the Moore Energy database acquisition.

Most notably, Mr. Yancey and Mr. Moore discovered the Goliad uranium deposit in south Texas, and supervised its exploration, including 250,000 feet of drilling. Goliad is Uranium Energy's foundation project, with 5.2 million pounds of historic uranium resources and the potential for an additional 10 million pounds. The Company is pleased to employ the two men who know the deposit the best.

Amir Adnani, CEO of Uranium Energy Corp, comments on these appointments: "With the additions of Messrs Yancey and Moore we have added un-paralleled uranium exploration and development expertise to our Operations Department. The Company continues to successfully bring proven uranium explorers and mine- finders to the team, which has been the key challenge for this sector."

Uranium Energy Corp Announces 32,000-Foot Drilling Program at Its Goliad Project in South Texas
April 27, 2006
Objective of Drill Program is to Confirm and Expand 5.2 Million Pounds U3O8 Historic Resource and Provide Initial Key Data for Scoping Study and Permitting

AUSTIN, TX – APRIL 27, 2006 – Uranium Energy Corp (“the Company”) announces that it has received its exploration permit for the Goliad Project in South Texas, and drilling operations are scheduled to commence during the third week of May.

The program will consist of 70 test holes, resulting in approximately 32,000 feet of drilling. The objective of the program is two-fold: i) to further expand the resource base previously defined by Moore Energy Corporation by drilling along extensions of known mineralized fronts, and; ii) to confirm drill results reported by Moore Energy. The confirmation drilling will be completed by offsetting a minimum of four drill fences completed by Moore Energy through the ore bodies.

It is anticipated that the field program will take five weeks to complete, and results will be forthcoming within a month of completing the program.

Following compilation and analyses of results from the aforementioned program, the Company will continue to advance the Goliad Project on two fronts. First, delineation drilling will continue with the intention of expanding the resource base in areas of known ore, as well as areas of strong mineralization indicating ore potential. Secondly, the Company will begin environmental baseline studies, initiating the first phase of ISL mine permitting.

The Goliad uranium deposits and attendant mineralization occur across a wide geographic area within the basal sands of the Pliocene age Goliad Formation. To date, ore grade mineralization has been developed within four stratigraphically separate sands (the A to D Sands) from 100 feet in depth to 400 feet. Development drilling performed by Moore Energy in the 1980s consisted of fences spaced at 400-foot intervals, with holes along the fences spaced at 100- to 200- foot intervals. The mineralized intervals within the four sands average 14 feet in thickness with grades ranging from 0.050% to 0.076% U3O8. An extensive program was run by Moore Energy to evaluate ore disequilibrium using PGT logging techniques. Ore grade intervals assessed by PGT logging consistently averaged within the very positive disequilibrium ranges of 1.4 to 1.7.

The drilling program for Goliad Project is progressing as planned, and is on track to accomplish the Company’s near-term objective of uranium production in South Texas. Uranium Energy Corp will be releasing regular updates on the progress of permitting operations, and the results of drilling.

Uranium Energy Corp Acquires the Rights to a Strategic 50-year Wyoming Uranium Database
April 27, 2006
Odell database of 315,000 feet of drill logs, maps and geologic reports will provide the Company’s Wyoming acquisition and exploration program with a significant competitive advantage in a State that host the largest uranium reserve in the US

AUSTIN, TX – APRIL 27, 2006 – Uranium Energy Corp (“the Company”) has acquired the rights to a significant database containing over 50 years of uranium exploration and development data for the state of Wyoming.

This uranium database consists of 315,000 feet of drill logs, over 400 maps, copies of all US Geological Survey uranium publications going back to 1954, and geological reports on uranium ore bodies throughout Wyoming.

The database is made available to the Company by Robert Odell, the compiler and publisher of the Rocky Mountain Uranium Minerals Scout since 1974. The Scout is a monthly uranium intelligence report that is available by subscription to uranium mining and exploration companies. It monitors all uranium claim-staking, exploration, development, mining, reclamation and corporate activities.

Mr. Odell has been engaged as District Geologist for Uranium Energy Corp, and lends his 52-year data, knowledge base and experience to the Company in its search for economic uranium ore bodies in the state of Wyoming. Mr. Odell graduated with a BSc in Geology from the University of New Mexico in 1951. Since then, he has worked with numerous uranium development companies, exploring for uranium in New Mexico, Arizona, and chiefly Wyoming, the most prolific area of uranium production in the United States, and host of the United States’ largest uranium reserve, according to the US Department of Energy. Please visit www.uraniumenergy.com for Mr. Odell’s complete professional history.

Uranium Energy has already been successful in utilizing this extensive database to identify and acquire drilled-historic uranium resources in Wyoming. A multitude of new targets have also been established, and continue to be sought out, either as potential stand-alone ISL operations, or as ISL satellite ore bodies. Furthermore, the database also contains valuable drill data on properties held by other uranium exploration companies, with whom the Company now has natural synergies for joint activities or sale of data. The Company continues to aggressively exploit the tools at its disposal in order to realize value for its shareholders.

The Company currently has two claim blocks in the Shirley Basin, giving Uranium Energy Corp approximately four million pounds of historically drill-proven uranium resources in the state of Wyoming. These blocks are the Mud Springs Prospect in the North Shirley Basin, containing an estimated three million pounds at an average grade of 0.11% U3O8, and the Burnt Wagon Prospect in the Poison Spider Area, containing an estimated one million pounds at an average grade of 0.048% U3O8.

*loool*
