Seamless Unveils Its Latest Entry in Internet Hardware with the S-NBK-1 Mini-Notebook Computer
Seamless Wi-Fi, Inc. (OTCBB:SMWF) announced that its subsidiary Seamless Internet, Inc. has just unveiled its Mini Notebook computer innovation, the S-NBK-1.

“We were looking to develop a big brother to the S-Gen, then came up with S-NBK-1. The S-NBK-1, which is available now, contains a 10.2 TFT screen, 1.6 GHZ processor, 512 MB RAM and 80GB hard drive, and Windows® XP operating system,” stated John Domerego, President of Seamless Internet, “and with MSRP in the mid $500 we feel that the S-NBK-1 is very competitively priced for the mini notebook market.”

The specs of the Mini-Notebook along with its pricing will be available on the Seamless Internet website www.seamlessinternet.com June 5.

Der Vertrieb wird zum Ene Juni weltweit eingetsellt, d.h. es gibt
Windows XP dann nicht zu kaufen !! KAPISCHKE ???

Den Support aufrecht halten, bedeutet nur, daß Microsoft bis dahin
weiter Updates erstellt !

Aber bestimmt kauft der dicke auf Vorrat 10000 Lizenzen
für XP.

Der taiwanische Computerbauer Acer hat die Prognose für die Region Europa, Mittlerer Osten und Afrika (EMEA) deutlich angehoben: „Wir streben für das laufende Jahr ein Absatzplus von 50 Prozent an“, sagte der fürs Europageschäft zuständige Vorstand Walter Deppeler gegenüber Euro am Sonntag laut Vorabbericht.


Zuletzt war das Unternehmen für die Region von einem Plus von rund 30 Prozent ausgegangen. Damit will Acer in EMEA ähnlich stark wachsen wie weltweit. Erst am Dienstag hatte Acer-Chef Gianfranco Lanci auch die Absatzprognose für den Gesamt-Konzern erhöht. Danach erwartet der drittgrößte PC-Hersteller der Welt nun für 2008 ein Absatzplus von „über 50 Prozent“.

Zur Begründung für seinen optimistischen Ausblick verwies Deppeler auf die „sehr starke Nachfrage“ aus Regionen wie Russland oder dem Mittleren Osten. Zudem würden immer mehr Verbraucher statt zu stationären Rechnern zu Notebooks greifen. Dort ist Acer hinter dem US-Konzern HP weltweit die
Nummer 2.

Unterdessen knüpft das Unternehmen hohe Erwartungen an einen neuen Minirechner namens Aspire One. Im laufenden Jahr will Acer alleine in der
Region EMEA „2,5 Millionen Einheiten“ des neuen Geräts verkaufen, 2009 bereits „fünf bis sieben Millionen Stück“, so Deppeler, in der

dann wirds der nachfolger von windows xp, wie kann man sich blos an solchen kleinigkeiten wie lizensen den kopf stoßen. vor einführung des s-nbk-1 wussten wir noch nicht einmal, dass an ein solches mini-notebook gearbeitet wurde. also stillhalten und abwarten.alles wird gut.positiv denken.

Die "Welt-AG", konstruiert von DaimlerChrysler-Chef Jürgen Schrempp, wird sogar als "schlechteste Fusion der Geschichte" (Washington Post) verlacht.



Wegen großen Verständigungsschwierigkeiten ist die Fusion

Die Behauptung von Urquell ist mit diesem Artikel wiederlegt.

Seamless hat demnach noch 7 Monate Zeit Lizenzen für Windows XP zu erwerben.

Da es sich beim Minicomputer S-NBK 1 nicht um ein Nischenprodukt handelt, dürfte die Aussicht auf einen Gewinn minimiert sein. Es gibt bei diesem Gerät keinen Anlass zur Euphorie.

Jüngstes Beispiel für einen hartumkämpften PC Markt ist MaxData, die gestern Insolvenz anmeldeten.

Sollte der S-GEN von Seamless nicht bald in den Regalen erscheinen, könnten hier noch in diesem Jahr die Lichter ausgehen.

one a450 ist von seamless wifi entwickelt und wird von one vertrieben (verkauft über one-production)
also keine falschen schlüsse ziehen und wenn man genauer auf die fotos schaut, dann sieht man das auch:

Heute den 21.06.2008 stellte der Computervertrieb und -hersteller One überraschend ein neues Netbook aus eigenem Hause vor, den One A450. Mit 349€ wird der 10,2 Zöller zu einem Kampfpreis angeboten, um dem bald erscheinenden MSI Wind U100 (399€) Marktanteile streitig zu machen.

Nicht nur der Preis spricht in dieser Klasse für sich, sondern auch der geplante Verkaufsstart ist mit dem 01. Juli 2008 nicht mehr lange hin.


Dabei hat One aus dem Vorläufer der ersten Generation, dem One A110, gelernt, und spendiert dem A450 eine 80GB mechanische Festplatte. Als CPU kommt ein auf 1,6GHz getakteter VIA C7-M ULV zum Einsatz, welcher im Vergleich zum konkurrierenden Intel Atom 1,6GHz nicht ganz so flink sein dürfte.

Sehr amüsant klingt der Beisatz: “Hinweis: Windows XP wird “fehlerfrei” mit einer Auflösung von 1024×600 dargestellt!”
