This increase in interest follows the announcement made by the Company on 2 September 2013 indicating an interest of 47.02% in Lemur.
Following the increase in acceptances, the Company will seek application for the new ordinary shares in the Company to be traded on the AIM Market of the London Stock Exchange in due course. An announcement will follow.
Offer Details - Extension
The offer period under the Company's takeover bid for all of the ordinary shares in Lemur Resources Limited, the terms of which are contained in the Replacement Bidder's Statement dated 1 July 2013 ("Offer"), has been automatically extended under section 624(2)(b) of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) as a result of achieving greater than 50% acceptances from shareholders of Lemur.
The Offer period is now extended to 7.00pm (Australian EST) on 26 September 2013.
Commenting on these developments, Mr Fortune Mojapelo, Chief Executive Officer of Bushveld said:

Now that Bushveld has crossed the 51% threshold it is the effective controller of Lemur and underpins our belief that the offer made to all shareholders in Lemur is attractive. We look forward to welcoming further Lemur shareholders to accept the Bushveld offer in the coming weeks. Once the transaction has been completed we look forward to create value for all our shareholders in the Company."

Bushveld Minerals board insists Lemur bid is fair and reasonable

Bushveld said it considers the off-market takeover offer 'to be fair and reasonable and to present the best way forward for Lemur shareholders'.Bushveld said it considers the off-market takeover offer "to be fair and reasonable and to present the best way forward for Lemur shareholders".
Southern-Africa focused Bushveld Minerals (LON:BMN) has responded to the rejection by the independent directors of Lemur Resources (ASX:LMR) of its takeover offer for Lemur by setting out the positive aspects of the deal.
The bid valued Lemur at around A$19.10mln (around £12.3mln).
Bushveld had said it would offer three shares for every five of Lemur's valuing it at A$0.099 per share, based on Bushveld's closing price of 10.875p on May 9 - a premium of 65.5%.
As reported at the beginning of June, the iron and tin group said it was sending out a replacement bidder's statement to shareholders after addressing concerns the Australian Securities and Investment Commission had with the original. That replacement statement has now been lodged, it said.
Bushveld noted that Lemur's independent directors had responded to the replaced statement by recommending rejection of the offer.
Bushveld said it considers the off-market takeover offer "to be fair and reasonable and to present the best way forward for Lemur shareholders".
It added that it is is advised that Lemur shareholders who together hold around 40% of the issued capital of Lemur, remain intent on accepting the deal.
Lemur's main asset is the Imaloto Coal project in Madagascar where it holds a JORC resource of 135.7 million gross tonnes in situ, of which 68% is measured and 91% is measured and indicated.

Lemur: 5x0.05 AUD = 0.25 AUD
Lemur: 5 x 0.05 AUD = 0.25 AUD
Lemur: 5 x 0.055 AUD = 0.275 -> in EUR 0.038
Lemur: 5 x 0.06 AUD = 0.30 AUD
Bushveld: 3 x 0.163 AUD = 0.489 AUD
