Guten Morgen,
die Nachricht ist seit gestern auf der Mytec-Homepage zu lesen. Die Firma hat mit ihrer ersten internationalen Lizensierung der Biometrietechnologie nach eigenen Angaben den Durchbruch geschafft. Loqware, ein schwedisches Unternehmen das führend im Bereich Computer-Sicherheitssysteme sein soll, ist mit Mytec eine Kooperation eingegangen.
Einige Leute wußten wohl schon vorher bescheid, denn schon seit Tagen sind größere Kursanstiege zu verzeichnen. Daher sah sich Mytec auch genötigt die Kursbewegungen zu kommentieren. Man bestätigte Verhandlungen, wollte sich aber natürlich nicht näher zu den Partnern und dem Umfang äußern. Nun präsentierte man folgende News:

Toronto, Ontario, September 18, 2000

Breakthrough biometrics licensing agreement for Mytec Technologies Inc.

Mytec Technologies Inc., (MYT:TSE) of Toronto today announced it has entered into its first international biometrics licensing agreement.

The agreement with Loqware Technologies AB of Gothenburg, Sweden "is a breakthrough for Mytec that further validates our biometric technology and our corporate strategy of partnering with leading companies to achieve a recurring revenue stream," said Mytec President and CEO, Pierre Donaldson. "This agreement gives us the potential for long-term royalty payments on future product sales as Loqware executes what we believe is an exciting plan to bundle our family of Bioscrypt products and sell them internationally."

In commenting on the agreement, Loqware`s Vice Chairman, Lars Grundin said, "Our company, which is an emerging player in the global data security industry, took a long hard look at competitive biometric technologies available today and concluded that Mytec`s Bioscrypt products were superior. We expect the addition of Bioscrypt to our bundled product will greatly enhance our data security products."

Loqware will integrate Bioscrypt into their suite of products to be announced at the Comdex show in Las Vegas in November.

While neither company would comment on the terms or expected monetary value of the agreement, Mr. Grundin and Mr. Donaldson both agreed the potential for growth is strong.

"It`s premature to quantify the value of this agreement," said Mr. Grundin, "but it`s clear that the world is becoming more aware of the need for biometric technology. By positioning Loqware with valued-added Mytec Bioscrypt products, we are ready to serve the surging demand for high-level security in the market. The demand for protection of classified information stored on computers is already big and will certainly grow rapidly in the near future.

"This is a big deal for Mytec because it validates our business model of generating a combination of development fees, technology transfer fees and ongoing royalty fees from licensing our technology. Our goal is to make this the first of many top-notch partnerships," said Mr. Donaldson.

Erstens: falsches Board, zweitens : steht wie immer kein Umsatz dabei (wahrscheinlich haben sie es verschenkt),
meiner Meinung nach ist Mytec ein typischer Konkurs-Kandidat, der Verkauf von Counterforce war noch mal eine letzte Geldbeschaffung.....

Klar doch! So läufts also, wußte ich gar nicht! Man entwickelt mit viel Geld ein Produkt, das offensichtlich so wenig taugt, daß man es verschenken muß (S&W werden sich wundern) verkauft dann das Tafelsilber, damit man noch ein wenig ünerlebt, bezahlt wahrscheinlich viel Geld an Intel, damit die sich dafür interessieren, aber das ist ja eh egal, Intel ist ja auch schon fast pleite nach deeer beschissenen Meldung kürzlich, gell?

Welche Meldung? Na die, wegen der Intel so abgeschmiert ist. Was? Welche Meldung über Intel und MYTEC?

developed the Demonstration Application.``

Nein, da kauf ich doch lieber was Solideres, wenn ich in etwas wirklich spekulatives investieren will, nicht wahr? So was solides, wie zB Biotech`s! Die machen sicher den fetten Reibach! Schon nächstes Jahr Gewinnexplosion und einstellige KGV`s, spätestens. Biometrik, wer kennt denn das schon. Da ist doch kein Blumentopf zu gewinnen. So wie mit dem Internet, damals, als AOL, Yahoo und Cisco noch in Holzschuppen firmierten. Sind ja auch alles Pleitekandidaten! Gewesen - natürlich.

Nur so eine Anfrage. Bin mal wieder im Minus. Aber was solls, mytec gibts ja nu wirklich bald nimmer.

Aber wer weis das schon vorher. Wer nach BG`s Weggang von IBM und seiner Gründung von MSFT deren Aktien kaufte wurde allgemein als völlig irrsinnig erachtet. Hätte man damals (1984) nur 1000DM investiert wäre man heute Millionär. Und laßt Euch nicht vom Langfristchart blenden (beginnt 1987). Da hatte MSFT schon die erste Ver15fachung hinter sich...
