New Unified Payments Solution Offers Revolutionary Revenue Capture Capabilities for Global Telecoms Operators

LONDON, Feb 19, 2002 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Logica, the global solutions company, and Portal Software, Inc. (PRSF) have today
announced an agreement that is set to revolutionise the revenue capture capabilities of telecoms operators by uniting postpaid and prepaid
billing capabilities onto one unified platform. Under the terms of the agreement, Portal will be supplying Logica with the Infranet(R) billing
platform, to be integrated with the Logica Unified Payments platform.

Logica`s Unified Payments is a single platform that manages an operator`s payments function
from recharge management through to customer care, irrespective of payment method. It
delivers operational efficiency, risk management, market management and flexibility to
telecom operators and will give subscribers increased flexibility over payment methods for
voice, content, and data services. Unified Payments simplifies the introduction of new
revenue generating applications. It enables operators to introduce group services (ex. shared
bundles/credits) that will increase customer retention.
