Solicitation of Children in Chat Rooms and More Arrests of Child Stalkers are
Stark Reminders of the Need for Net Nanny`s Internet Filtering

BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 22, 1999--Recent news stories involving the arrest of an individual who used a chat room to stalk an FBI agent posing
as a 13-year old girl, add to the thousands of cases that have been reported worldwide.

Net Nanny Software International Inc. (OTC BB:NNSWF - news), leading developers of online safety and PC security products, provides real-time filtering of chat
rooms and instant messages for parents who use its Net Nanny® software program.

The increasing number of cases remind Internet users that inappropriate material and activity is also available in areas other than the World Wide Web, which makes up
only one part of the vast online environment. With Net Nanny, parents have a tool that can help them guide their curious children wherever they go online, whether they
are visiting Web sites or communicating with people.

Unlike other stand-alone software programs that are installed on a family`s computer and other types of ``one-size-fits-all`` parental control devices that are offered at the
server level, Net Nanny® has the ability to scan words and phrases as they are both received by children and sent by them to the people with whom they are
communicating. Examples of these words and phrases include names, addresses, telephone and credit card numbers, swear words, sexual and/or violent terms,
invitations to communicate by ``phone`` or to ``meet`` in physical locations. The program compares the content of the messages being sent back and forth to a standard
list of terms that are offered in the program. Parents can add or delete these terms to better suit their own needs and concerns.

``After a 1994 case in Florida involving the solicitation of a minor in a chat room, Net Nanny was created to specifically address the problems that children can face
when they communicate with strangers in these areas,`` said president and CEO Gordon Ross. ``With close to 30,000 different chat channels available through Internet
Relay Chat and a host of new chat environments and instant messaging systems available through online services and portals, parents need flexible solutions to help them
      patrol their kids` activities.``

The software allows the parent to do one or more of the following: terminate the conversation, requiring the parent to re-establish the online connection, send a warning
message, mask out the words and phrases with ``number`` signs, or save the words and phrases that were used in a log file that the parent can view at any time. These
controls allow the parent to determine what is best for their children, without being limited to simply blocking access to these online programs altogether or depending on
someone else`s judgment of what is best.

``So much of a focus has been placed on violent and sexually persuasive Web sites,`` Ross adds, ``that parents, policymakers and the industry as a whole have not been
as attentive as they should be about the greater safety risks posed by interactive media such as chat and instant messaging.``

About Net Nanny Software International Inc.

In January 1995, Net Nanny Software International Inc. shipped the world`s first Internet filtering and child safety software product. Today, the Company continues to
be a world leader in Internet protection for individuals, schools and businesses and is developing other security-related products that address the growing need to protect
access to sensitive computer data and mission-critical PC applications.

Spy-world security gadgets come in from the cold:
`All of us have a unique typing rhythm. Especially when typing something
consistently, like a password. People are just a little bit weirded-out by
putting their finger on a pad and not knowing what someone`s going to do with
it.` Nika Herford, vice-president of Net Nanny Software: Privacy a key issue:
Net Nanny software based on keystroke recognition

      Simon Avery
      Financial Post

      Simon Avery, National Post
Buzz Leonard, Net Nanny`s chief operating officer, says the software for
identifying a user`s keystroke dynamics took two decades to create.

LAS VEGAS - It`s comforting to know that in the cold, impersonal world of
technology our individuality has not died.

Dozens of companies are betting their futures on biometric security devices --
tools that confirm people`s identities by measuring unique physical
      characteristics.

At Comdex here this week, there is a common strategy among biometric firms to
transform seemingly fictional spy-world gadgets into affordable mainstream
products. For example, Vancouver-based Net Nanny Software International Inc.,
whose main product is software to filter Internet content, is testing an
authentication system based on an individual`s keystrokes.

"All of us have a unique typing rhythm. Especially when typing something
consistently, like a password," said Nika Herford, Net Nanny`s vice-president of
      public affairs.

The firm`s product requires no hardware and avoids contentious privacy issues
around fingerprint scanners. "People are just a little bit weirded-out by
putting their finger on a pad and not knowing what someone`s going to do with
      it," Ms. Herford said.

Another benefit of the approach over fingerprint technology is that it builds on
the most common form of computer security, the password, said Bobby Bhasin, the
      lead software developer.

First-time users create a profile of their typing pattern by inputting their ID
and password 15 times. With this information on file, the software can usually
identify a user, Mr. Bhasin said.

Although the concept is simple, the actual software has taken nearly 20 years to
develop, according to Buzz Leonard, Net Nanny`s chief operating officer.

The company eventually wants to sell the product to users of Microsoft Corp.`s
business platform, Windows NT and the upcoming Windows 2000.

At this moment, the jury is still out on Net Nanny`s idea.

"The benefits are that it`s very easy to use and inexpensive. The negative is
that it`s not as accurate as an iris scan," said Raj Nanavati, a partner with
International Biometric Group LLC, a New York consulting firm.

Following the more established path is Toronto-based Mytec Technologies Inc.,
which has just introduced a fingerprint reader that plugs into a PC. The user
slides a finger over a silicon wafer and processor embedded in a mouse-like
      device.

Mytec`s Touchstone Pro retails for $250 (US), about one tenth the cost of what
fingerprint scanners cost a few years ago. At this point, the device is used
mostly in high-security corporate areas, including parts of the Canadian
Imperial Bank of Commerce, said Jennifer McNaughton, director of sales and
      marketing for Mytec.

Other firms, such as Wisconsin-based Cherry GmbH and SecuGen Corp. of
California, are introducing products with inexpensive finger scanners embedded
in the computer keyboard or mouse.

SecuGen has just announced a contract with electronic bank ING Direct Canada for
its fingerprint reader in a mouse. ING is the first bank to adopt fingerprint ID
for online banking, said David Paek, SecuGen`s chief of staff.

While the idea of providing a fingerprint to an employer or a bank in order to
log on to a computer has raised the ire of privacy advocates, firms behind the
technology insist there is no chance for abuse of the data because it is never
actually stored. Only selected parts of the print are used and they are
      immediately translated into mathematical algorithms.

      - Meister-Aktien

      In Deutschland ist fast nie Handel.Am besten man kauft in Vancuver;
da kommt am meisten Umsatz auf.Aber auch dort eine ALL or None
(Fill or Kill) Order aufgeben sonst kriegst du ne Menge Teilausführungen.

      Also, Netnanny -

("Goldminen in Alaska";).

      Quote:

Net Nanny`s BioPassword is a software-based system that creates individual user profiles based on the manner that a person types in their password. The product
creates the profile based on a persons hand size, the speed of the typing, the length the keys are held down, and other factors.

When used in conjunction with a password, BioPassword will provide an extra level of security in case the password has been broken.

"It`s there to augment security," said Tom Yerex, manager of research and development for Net Nanny. "It`s there to add that extra bit."

Net Nanny acquired the technology from Stanford University and plans to offer the system as a software developer`s kit (SDK) for inclusion in Internet-commerce
applications as well as database access, phone systems, and smart cards.

"It has so many possibilities that we can`t do it all. That`s why we`re doing the Software Development Kit," Yerex said.

The Net Nanny BioPassword SDK is slated for release in the first quarter of next year for Windows 95 and Windows 98. The company hopes to provide Windows
CE and Unix versions soon thereafter. Pricing is still to be determined.

scheint also äußerst gesichert.Und zudem haben wohl auch
Großinvestoren viel Vertrauen in die Firma.Schön das auch die
Ausübungsrechte jetzt so hoch liegen.
Norden.Hier die Zweite News von heute:
