Investment in M@tchnet Australia Pty Ltd/Media Release

ECAT Development Capital Limited (ASX Code: "ECL") advises that it
has executed an agreement with M@tchNet Australia Pty Ltd (ACN 090
540 300) to acquire a 51% shareholding in M@tchNet Australia Pty Ltd
(M@tchNet Australia) by subscribing for new shares in the company for
$500,000.

M@tchNet Australia intends to build Australia and New Zealand`s
premier Internet dating company and to achieve this has formed a
strategic alliance with one of the largest US based Internet dating
companies, M@tchNet Plc. M@tchNet Plc will have a 49% shareholding in
M@tchnet Australia. It has over 500,000 members and web sites in a
number of counties in Europe and North America, the largest being
www.americansingles.com. M@tchNet Plc will provide exclusive
marketing, technical and commercial assistance to M@tchNet Australia
and New Zealand, which will facilitate M@tchNet`s expansion in
Australia and New Zealand. The arrangement with M@tchnet Plc will
allow M@tchNet Australia`s members to contact M@tchNet Plc`s members
worldwide.

M@tchNet Australia will gain a substantial Australian and New Zealand
membership from the existing members of M@tchNet Plc`s
americansingles.com service. M@tchNet Australia plans to use the
funds raised from ECL to complete a concentrated membership drive in
the first half of year 2000. M@tchNet Australia intends to complete
an Initial Public Offering on the Australian Stock Exchange by 31
December 2000.

M@tchNet Australia will be 51% owned by ECAT and 49% owned by
M@tchNet Plc after ECAT`s $500,000 investment is complete.

The investment in M@tchnet Australia represents ECAT`s third
investment under its revised investment strategy. It anticipates
making further investments in the technology sector in the normal
course of its business over the coming months.

ECAT FINDS MATCH WITH INTERNET DATING SERVICE

ECAT Development Capital Limited today announced it has entered into
an agreement with the US-based internet dating service M@tchnet Plc
to establish a similar service in Australia and New Zealand.

The US company owns the website americansingles.com, one of the
world`s biggest internet dating services with more than 500,000
members. The agreement with ECAT gives M@tchnet Plc, the developer of
a website called australiansingles.com.au, a 49% shareholding in
M@tchnet Australia. ECAT, a pooled development fund in which Grange
Resources Limited has a 26% shareholding, will own the remaining 51%
of M@tchnet Australia.

Director of ECAT, Mr Richard Marsh, said that M@tchnet Australia
would aim for 500,000 members within two years.

"M@tchnet Australia will have access to the international database
and will benefit from M@tchnet Plc`s market experience," Mr Marsh
said.

"It is planned for M@tchnet Australia to be the first listed Internet
introduction service in Australia by completing an IPO and listing on
the Australian Stock Exchange by 31 December 2000."

Mr Marsh said M@tchnet Australia aimed to become the biggest and most
prominent Internet personal introduction service in Australia with
the most user-friendly and market-driven website on the Internet.
Free trial membership, strict privacy provisions and access to the US
website`s half a million members worldwide would ensure keen interest
in the new site.

Hatte ähnliches im anderen Thread geschrieben, allerdings ohne den Original Text Quelle ebenfalls Stockhouse.com.au.

Matchnet habe ich nur bei http://www.matchnet.com gefunden, allerdings noch kein Hinweis auf Ecat, die ja wohl nur mit Matchnet Australia zusammenarbeiten. Auch Matchnet-Australia war nicht auffindbar. Hat irgendjemand die Adressen.

Matchnet ist übrigens ein Single - oder auch Partnervermittlungsdienst
