nwc befindet sich in gesprächen mit aol - diese wurden bereits offiziel bestätigt, ua auch auf cnbc asia. zzt leidet der kurs unter einer kapitalmassnahme.

nwc scheint es überhaupt eilig zu haben, liquidität aufzubauen. so wurde der verkauf von immobilien bekanntgegeben, die sich noch von früher im eigentum von nwc befinden.

die kriegskasse wird also gefüllt. kurse unter 0.35 sind langfristig strong buy. wann die "explosion" kommt, hängt v.a. davon ab, wann die kooperation mit aol unter dach und fach gebracht werden kann.

meines wissens verfügt aol in asien noch über kein standbein - die annahme liegt also nahe, dass der deal mit nwc nochmals ganz heiss werden kann. ich bin jedenfalls dabei (erste reihe fussfrei, sozusagen).

Ich denke es handelt sich dabei um eine interessante Aktie - mit einem z.Zt. noch interessanterem Kurs.
Alle Werte unter 50 Cent sind, sobald eine Bestätigung über eine Kooperation mit AOL kommt, günstige Einstiegskurse.

Ich denke, das NWCB genauso wie viele andere Werte erst noch "entdeckt" werdenmuß.

Ich glaube, NWC wird einen ähnlichen Weg wie PCCW nehmen können. Auch PCCW wollte Anfangs über Monate kein Schwein im Depot haben. Dann innerhalb von 2 Wochen eine Verdreifachung.

NW Cyber <0276.HK> buys venture capital firm stake

HONG KONG, Feb 1 (Reuters) - New World CyberBase Ltd said on Tuesday it signed an agreement to acquire about 17 percent of privately-held Hong Kong-based venture capital firm Anderson Information Technology Ltd (AIT) for US$16 million.

AIT, which specialises in a spectrum of information technology investments in the U.S., China and Hong Kong, intends to seek a listing in 2001 on Nasdaq or Hong Kong. Through a network of subsidiaries and associates in major Chinese cities and provinces, AIT introduces and distributes throughout greater China the state-of-the-art high technology products of the companies it has invested in. New World CyberBase, an Internet and technology investment company, is controlled by Hong Kong property company New World Development Ltd <0017.HK>.

AIT`s turnover from products and technology exceeded US$30 million in January 2000. It said it acted as a bridge for bringing in information technology investments from the U.S. to China. AIT said it expected that one to three of the companies it had invested in could be listed on Nasdaq this year. "AIT plans to invest in 15 to 20 projects this year, with a view to being listed on Nasdaq in the U.S. or the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong in 2001," the venture capital company said. It said it had invested and participated in more than 10 projects and investments in less than a year, and its investments had recorded a five-fold growth rate within a year. (Infocast News) According to Hong Kong Economic Journal, New World China Land Limited (0917) (NW China) will join New World Cyberbase Limited (0276)(NW Cyber) to form a joint venture to develop property-related hi-tech business in Mainland China.

The paper quoted a source that the company is preparing to bring in other strategic shareholders, so either NW China or NW Cyber will not hold 50% stakes of the new company.

(Infocast News) Spokesman of New World CyberBase (0276) confirmed that the company would place shares for raising about $380 million in which part would be used for investing in a satellite network technology services provider which will focus on developing broadband market in Greater China region.

He pointed out that the company would place 150 million new shares at $2.525 each to raise $379 million by top-up placement. The majority shareholder would place further 50 million shares for raising the maximum of $505 million if response of the placement good. Of the proceed, $40 million would be used for investing in Beidaqingniao, the remaining for Hong Kong data centre.

The company suspended trading this afternoon, up $0.125 or 4.67% to $2.8 before suspension.

An polzinho: Wie läuft das mit der Kapitalerhöhung ab, Bezugsrechte?
Wann wird sie durchgeführt? Ferner bin ich rein im Dez zu 0,35, dann hoch mitgemacht und jetzt wieder auf selbem Niveau. Mal hoffen, dass aus den damaligen Grüchten Wirklichkeit wird. Die Pläne zumindest hören sich viel versprechend an, ob das Management sie realisieren kann/wird muß es aber noch beweisen. Wie gesagt, die Kapitalerhöhung würde mich interessieren. Ein Gerücht besagt, das NWCB auch am Neuen Markt plazieren will, wäre ein geschickter Schachzug. Darauf würden sich hier die Geier stürzen.....

3. selbst bei gerüchten kann man quellenangaben machen. wenn deine das consors auslandsboard sind, hat sich die sache schon erledigt...

4. der ausbau eines breitbandnetzes für china ist besser als jede kooperation mit aol zu diesem zeitpunkt. wenn sich nwc erstmals positionieren kann, kommen die jv von selbst.

Denn gerade weil der Kurs in Hongkong gemacht wird, ist sie auch in Berlin gefallen:
Schlußkurs heute dort: 2.550, das sind immerhin 8,93 % miese; und genau das ist in Deutschland passiert !
Danke für die Nachhilfe zu Punkt 2, hätte aber nicht zu sein brauchen.
Mir schmeckt nicht, daß in einem noch offensichtlich sehr frühen Planungsstadium durch eine Großholding ( für das "Technologieflaggschiff" - laut Finet - von NW ) eine KE durchgeführt wird. Ich kann mir nicht helfen, es wirkt alles wirklich noch sehr virtuell.
Ist da nicht genug Geld vorhanden ? Von dem angeblichen Verkauf von Immobilien für eine Investition in Cyberbase hört man eigentlich auch nichts mehr ?

New World Cyber issues more shares under option

HONG KONG, Feb 11 (Reuters) - New World CyberBase Ltd <0276.HK> said on Friday it had issued an additional 50 million shares under an overallotment option.

The company said in a statement issued through the Hong Kong stock exchange that BNP Prime Peregrine had fully exercised the option.

It said the placing shares would now amount to 200 million, which is about 10.70 percent of the existing issued ordinary share capital and about 9.67 percent of the enlarged issued ordinary share capital.

The company said on Thursday it had issued 150 million shares at HK$2.525 per share to finance the purchase of technology projects.

New World CyberBase is the technology arm of New World Development Co Ltd <0017.HK>.

Wie von dem Immobiliendeal hört man auch davon überhaupt nichts mehr. Du hast genau recht: Wer soll die KE überhaupt mitmachen.
New World Development Co Ltd. ?? Hat jemand überhaupt einmal die Finanzkraft der Mutter überprüft. Könnte es nicht sein, daß durch einen Trick mit Cyberbase dort unter die Arme gegriffen werden muß.
Ich bleibe dabei: Bisher nur Absichtserklärungen, virtuelle Gedankenspiele mit "Greater China" etc. Während gerade in den letzten Tagen die neuen Technologiewerte in Hongkong wieder ins laufen kommen, ist Cyberbase weit hintenan.

für die investierten: halten und infos sammeln. für jene die noch rein wollen, erste positionen aufbauen oder auf watchliste nehmen.

tatsache ist, dass NWC in gesprächen mit AOL gestanden hat (wurde mehrmals bestätigt, ua auch auf CNBC asia). ob da was herausgekommen ist oder noch rauskommen wird, kann ich nicht sagen.

New World Cyber habe ich seit geraumer Zeit zum Glück abgestoßen, nachdem auch ich Fan davon war. Jedoch ist es mit der Phantasie fürs nächste aus, mit AOL ist unwahrscheinlich, das Beste an NWCb ist leider nur der Name und die Homepage. Die Ziele sind zwar edel, hinter der Firma stehen aber nur ein klein wenig Beteiligungen, ein Geschäft u.a. stellt das verlustreiche Münztelefon dar, das Management hat nicht den besten Ruf in HK (das bekommen wir hier nur wenig mit). Deshalb sind für mich auch keine Parallelen mit PCCW zu ziehen (hatte ich ürsprünglich auch gedacht), weil:
PCCW hat an der Spitze mit Li ein Profi
kluge Beteiligunge und JointVentures
finanziell starker Background
der Big Player ist PCCW (Vorsprung,Marktführerschaft)

NWCb: Altlasten
wenig Vertrauen in Management

alles auf eine Koop. mit AOL zu setzen finde ich gewagt. Die Gespräche gab es schon, überzeugen konnte NWCb wohl nicht.....

der Kurs sackte heute sogar auf 0,27e ab.
Ein- oder Ausstiegskurse???
Ich gebe Michael_III vollkommen recht.
Ganz so bullish ist die ganze Geschichte nicht mehr!
Andererseits, warum sollte es nicht wieder gen Norden gehen?
Letztendlich ist alles doch nur eine Wette!

Kleiner Trost! Befaßt Euch mit Artificial Life (ALIF) intensiv! Dann überlegen, welche Aktie mehr Potential hat. Die Asien-Hausse ist vorläufig mal vorbei, deshalb sucht Euch neuartige Technologien, die unser Leben verändern werden. stellt Euch auch ehrlich die Frage, wie gut ihr über NWCB informiert ward, oder ob es nicht doch eher einfach eine Wette war. Einige haben ja einen 100%Asien-Depot-Anteil, sehr gefährlich! Nochmals: Der Kurs von NWCB wird in HK gemacht, und da fluchen manche aufs Management! Die laufende Kap.erhöhung scheint mal wieder in die Hose zu gehen.
