VeriChip is a miniaturized, implantable, radio frequency identification device (RFID) that can be used in a variety of security, emergency and healthcare applications. About the size of a grain of rice, each VeriChip is composed of FDA-accepted materials and contains a unique verification number that can seamlessly integrate to the GVS Registry via a proprietary VeriChip scanner. Instant access to such vital information as allergies to medications, medical device implants, pre-existing medical conditions and emergency contact numbers could save lives in an emergency and enhance the peace of mind of subscribers and their loved ones.
The new GVS Registry Service is hosted and maintained by Digital Angel Corporation`s (Amex: DOC) state-of-the-art, FDA-compliant operations centers in Riverside, California and Owings, Maryland. Complementary, 24/7 call-center services are provided by a physician-supervised staff of support associates in Owings, Maryland.
The GVS Registry service will initially support VeriChip subscribers in South Florida who will be "chipped" during the company`s initial product rollout beginning with the Jacobs family on May 10, 2002. Performed under the supervision of the company`s first Authorized VeriChip Center in Palm Beach County, the rollout will feature the use of the first ChipMobile(TM) - a state of the art, medically equipped mobile unit that will deliver VeriChip to initial target markets such as elder care centers, critical care facilities and Generation Y events. The Palm Beach County rollout will last until June 30, 2002, at which time the company expects to move into other geographic markets and initiate nationwide distributor alliance programs.
Commenting on this announcement, Scott R. Silverman, President of Applied Digital Solutions, said: "As promised, the GVS Registry is now fully operational and is prepared to securely house subscriber information so it can be accessed by Authorized VeriChip Affiliates such as hospitals and EMS units. We`re confident the GVS Registry`s secure software and database will integrate seamlessly with the VeriChip product and proprietary scanners to provide our subscribers with instant access to potentially life-saving, accurate, complete emergency healthcare information stored in the Registry."

VeriChip(TM), Thermo Life(TM) and Digital Angel(TM)
Applied Digital Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADSX - news), an advanced technology development company, today announced that Frank E. Lalley, President and CEO of the company`s Computer Equity (Compec) and Government Telecommunications (GTI) subsidiaries, has been appointed to the additional position of Vice President for Government Solutions.
The new position is aimed at meeting government needs for the company`s advanced technology products, such as VeriChip, Thermo Life and Digital Angel, which is now part of Digital Angel Corporation (Amex: DOC - news).
Mr. Lalley joined Applied Digital`s Compec subsidiary in January 2002 after a distinguished, 35-year career in the federal government. Most recently, Mr. Lalley served as Assistant Commissioner for Service Delivery in the General Services Administration`s Federal Technology Service. In that position, he was the senior executive responsible for the Federal government`s $1 billion long distance telecommunications program that provides voice, data, video, wireless, and satellite services to 165 government agencies around the world.
Commenting on the new appointment for Mr. Lalley, Scott R. Silverman, President of Applied Digital Solutions, said: "With the attention that VeriChip, Digital Angel and Thermo Life have attracted from all levels of government, it was imperative to bring in someone with Frank Lalley`s extensive experience and reputation for effective leadership in the public sector. His knowledge, expertise and vast network of governmental contacts will help enormously as we respond to the needs of various government agencies for our advanced technology solutions. We`re delighted that Frank has agreed to take on this added responsibility and we`re confident that this expansion of his role within Applied Digital will help us seize significant growth opportunities in the public sector."

Also Schönes Wochenende
oder gibt es was zu diskutieren?

Moin zusammen,
hab was interessantes gefunden. Lest euch mal folgenden link durch:
http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=26991

May 13, 2002
CBS Evening News will cover VeriChip story Friday, May 10, 2002,
including early stage Alzheimer`s patient Nate Isaacson
Applied Digital Solutions, Inc. (ADSX) , an advanced technology development company,
announced today that it is expecting extensive, worldwide media coverage of the first-ever
"chipping" procedures scheduled for May 10, 2002.
ABC`s Good Morning America will provide live coverage of the Jacobs family "chipping"
procedure that morning, with a follow-up interview on Monday morning, May 13, 2002.
In addition, CBS Evening News will air an in-depth story on May 10, 2002, including the
"chipping" of early stage Alzheimer`s patient Nate Isaacson.
As previously announced, the Jacobs family will be the first family in the world to "get chipped"
with VeriChip`s personal verification microchip. The historic "chipping" procedure will take place
in the first Authorized VeriChip Center in Palm Beach County, Florida, followed by a press
conference and an invitation-only brunch for business partners and community leaders. During
the press conference and the business brunch, Applied Digital executives will unveil more
details about VeriChip`s rollout plans.
Commenting on the extensive media interest in the event, Scott R. Silverman, President of
Applied Digital Solutions, said: "VeriChip has been the subject of widespread media attention
for the past few months, everything from Time Magazine to the Today Show, the Early Show,
CNN`s American Morning with Paula Zahn, CBS Weekend Evening News, and the O`Reilly
Factor on Fox News. We`re delighted that Good Morning America and CBS Evening News will cover the first-ever "chipping" procedures on May
10th.
Many other television networks, magazines and newspapers from around the world are expected to be there. CNN, Telemundo, Tech TV, Nick
News, Inside Edition, and Fox News all plan to be there. Reporters and photographers from the Associated Press and Reuters will cover the
story. We`ve also heard from The Financial Times Magazine in London, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, Wired News, the BBC,
French television, German television, Nippon TV in Japan, Brazil, Italy, Mexico, you name it. Major media outlets throughout Europe, Asia, Latin
America and North America have expressed interest in covering this historic international news event, along with details of VeriChip`s initial
market launch in the United States."
About VeriChip(TM)
VeriChip, first announced on December 19, 2001, is a miniaturized, implantable, radio frequency identification device (RFID) that can be used in
a variety of security, emergency and healthcare applications. On April 4, 2002, the company announced that it had received written guidance
that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) does not consider VeriChip`s personal verification device to be a regulated medical device,
enabling the company to begin sales, marketing and distribution of VeriChip in the United States. About the size of a grain of rice, each
VeriChip is composed of FDA-accepted materials and contains a unique verification number. That number is captured by briefly passing a
proprietary, external scanner over the VeriChip. A small amount of radio frequency energy passes through the skin energizing the dormant
VeriChip, which then emits a radio frequency signal transmitting the verification number. The company believes its first-mover advantage will
enable it to gain significant market share in the emergency information and verification market that is estimated to exceed $15 billion. VeriChip
Corporation is a wholly owned subsidiary of Applied Digital Solutions.
About Digital Angel(TM)
Digital Angel(TM) technology represents the first-ever combination of advanced biosensors and Web-enabled wireless telecommunications
linked to the Global Positioning System (GPS). By utilizing advanced biosensor capabilities, Digital Angel will be able to monitor key body
functions - such as temperature and pulse - and transmit that data, along with accurate emergency location information, to a ground station or
monitoring facility. Digital Angel Corporation (DOC) was formed on March 27, 2002, in a merger between Digital Angel Corporation and Medical
Advisory Systems, a global leader in telemedicine that has operated a 24/7, physician-staffed call center in Owings, Maryland, for two decades.
Prior to the merger, Digital Angel Corporation was a wholly owned subsidiary of Applied Digital Solutions. Applied Digital Solutions is the

Digital Angel(TM) technology represents the first-ever combination of advanced biosensors and Web-enabled wireless telecommunications

functions - such as temperature and pulse - and transmit that data, along with accurate emergency location information, to a ground station or

@tradewatcher,

rückt wieder in greifbare Nähe...

Werde mir ein langes WE gönnen

Our system recommends BUY as of today. Previous SELL recommendation was made on 4/24/2002 (13) days ago, when the stock price was 1.211. Since then the stock gained 70.93% .
Today the stock closed higher, close to its high (sign of strength) with a higher high and a higher low. A bullish gap occured, which may indicate an upward break out.The volume is extremely high. The security price is trending up and is overbought.
The correction is over and the stock is starting a new rally. It is again time for bulls. You may make hefty profits if you buy this stock now and hold it until the next sell signal. Long-term trend is also bullish.

Company Expects to Start Commercial Shipments of Implantable
VeriChips by Month`s End
SOUTH ST. PAUL, Minn., May 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Randolph K. Geissler, chief executive officer of Digital Angel Corp. (Amex: DOC) was interviewed yesterday on CEOcast.com, providing details about the company`s involvement with the implantable microchip for humans, called the VeriChip(TM), which will be featured on ABC TV`s Good Morning America show this coming Friday, May 10.
The recorded interview can be accessed at http://www.ceocast.com through May 13, 2002.
Mr. Geissler said Digital Angel Corp. owns the patents for the VeriChip and has granted marketing rights for the human applications market to VeriChip Corp., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Applied Digital Solutions (Nasdaq: ADSX) of West Palm Beach, FL.
The tiny implantable chip, which is roughly the size of a grain of rice, contains a radio frequency identification device that`s activated by a hand-held scanner. The scanner reads the chip`s unique verification number, which is linked to patient emergency medical information.
Mr. Geissler noted that network television is providing live coverage this coming Friday of the first ever human "chipping" procedure.
Mr. Geissler said Digital Angel makes the chips for VeriChip Corp. under a long-term agreement and expects to begin commercial shipments of the product by the end of this month.
Digital Angel`s revenue from VeriChip Corp. will include the price of the chip itself and a share of the annual user fees for operating the Global VeriChip Subscriber (GVS) Registry service on behalf of VeriChip.
The GVS service is housed in Digital Angel`s state-of-the-art FDA-compliant operations centers in Riverside, CA and Owings, MD. They provide comprehensive 24/7 services, including a physician-supported staff. The implantable microchips can be used in a variety of applications. Digital Angel chips have been implanted in more than 10 million pets so far during the past eight years, and the company is introducing other versions with computerized management packages for the livestock industry.
The interview also contains information about the Digital Angel(TM) GPS-enabled watch-size device and the company`s commercial plans for the current year.
Mr. Geissler reiterated earlier guidance that the company expects to produce $58-74 million of revenue for the current year. About Digital Angel Corporation
Digital Angel Corporation was formed on March 27, 2002, in a merger between Digital Angel Corporation and Medical Advisory Systems, a global leader in telemedicine that has operated a 24/7, physician-staffed call center in Owings, Maryland, for two decades. Prior to the merger, Digital Angel Corporation was a wholly owned subsidiary of Applied Digital Solutions. Digital Angel(TM) technology represents the first-ever combination of advanced biosensors and Web-enabled wireless telecommunications linked to Global Positioning Systems (GPS). By utilizing advanced biosensor capabilities, Digital Angel will be able to monitor key body functions -- such as temperature and pulse -- and transmit that data, along with accurate emergency location information, to a ground station or monitoring facility. The company also invented, manufactures and markets implantable identification microchips the size of a grain of rice for use in companion pets, fish, and livestock. A human version is manufactured for VeriChip Corp., wholly owned by Applied Digital Solutions. Digital Angel owns the patents for its inventions in all applications of the microchip technology for humans and animals. For more information about Digital Angel, visit http://www.digitalangel.net.

Erzähl mal bitte was draus wurde.

Habe heute erfolgreich weiter nachgekauft.

Nein, das waren dumme Kleinanleger all around the world die hier ihren stoploss gesetzt haben.

hi,

Vielen Dank an Alle !

Keiner wurde also hier ausgestoppt.

(MM´s wissen eigentlich was/wer untereinander handelt).
A: DA/DOC
B: Verichip
C: Thermo
D. bisheriges operatives Geschäft
Umsatzzeitraum GJ: 03/04
A+B (aufgrund Verbundzugehörigkeit, siehe heutiges Interview)
--> evtl.
C:
--> evtl. 50-100 Mio $
D:
--> evtl. 200 Mio $

Hallo @ all
@2000
Wie recht du doch hast
MfG Dauphin
P.S Nette Nassi Rally heute, ich denke man sollte in ausgewählte Titel vorsichtig long gehen.....

Dann sollte man aussteigen.

frohen Vatertag allerseits.
Interessante Mails im US Board gesichtet.
1. In Sky News soll heute erstmals in Europa über ADSX (Verichip) berichtet worden sein. Hat das jemand gesehen. Soll ständig wiederholt werden.
2. MM`s wollen shorten.

Eight people will be injected with silicon chips Friday, making them
scannable just like a jar of peanut butter at the supermarket checkout line.
The miniature devices, about the size of a grain of rice, were developed by
a Florida company. They will be targeted to families of Alzheimer`s
patients -- one of the fastest-growing groups in American society -- as well
as others who have complicated medical histories.
"It`s safety precaution," explained Nate Isaacson. The retired building
contractor will enter his Ft. Lauderdale doctor`s office Friday as an
83-year-old with Alzheimer`s. He`ll leave it a cyborg, a man who is also a
little bit of a computer.
The chip will be put in Isaacson`s upper back, effectively invisible unless
a hand-held scanner is waved over it. The scanner uses a radio frequency to
energize the dormant chip, which then transmits a signal containing a
verification number. Information about Isaacson is cross-referenced under
that number in a central computer registry.
Emergency-room personnel, for instance, could find out who Isaacson is and
where he lives. They`d know he is prone to forgetfulness, has a pacemaker
and is allergic to penicillin.
"You never know what`s going to happen when you go out the door," said
Isaacson`s wife, Micki. "Should something happen, he`s never going to
remember those things."
Applied Digital Solutions Inc., the maker of what it calls the VeriChip,
says that it will soon have a prototype of a much more complex device, one
that is able to receive signals from Global Positioning System satellites
and transmit a person`s location. It`s a prospect deeply unsettling to
privacy advocates, no matter how voluntary the process may initially appear.
"Who gets to decide who gets chipped?" asked Marc Rotenberg, executive
director of the Electronic Privacy Information Center. "Parents will decide
that their kids should be implanted, or maybe their own aging parents."
Applied Digital, which says it has a waiting list of 4,000 to 5,000 people
who want a VeriChip, plans to operate a "chipmobile" that visits Florida
senior citizen`s centers. An estimated 4 million people nationally have
Alzheimer`s, with more than 10 percent of them in Florida.
Jeffrey and Leslie Jacobs and teenage son Derek, whose "chipping" will be
national media event, don`t have problems with dementia. The Boca Raton,
Fla., family has a mixture of ailments and interests: Jeffrey has been
treated for Hodgkin`s disease and suffers from other conditions for which he
takes 16 medications. Derek is allergic to certain antibiotics. Mostly,
though, he`s a computer buff who considers the procedure nifty. Leslie is
merely hoping to feel more secure in an insecure world.
A third group ready for the simple outpatient procedure Friday are officials
of Applied Digital, a publicly traded company based in Palm Beach. Even the
publicist is doing it.
Getting chipped is easy. Making it more useful than a piece of body art will
be harder.
"There are a lot of practical issues
....... 4 Mio people bringen dann 800Mio $!!!

Zu den 800Mio$ kommen also pro Jahr nochmal 480Mio$ "Lizenzgebühren" pro Jahr dazu!!!

Prost!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow. Wie hier die Mil. Umsätze über den Tisch rutschen. Wahnsinn.

Family gets computer chips implanted for medical information
BOCA RATON, Fla. - (AP) -- A South Florida family on Friday became the first to be implanted with computer chips that researchers hope will provide a medical breakthrough.
Jeff and Leslie Jacobs, along with 14-year-old son Derek, had the tiny chips implanted in their arms. Each chip is about the size of a grain of rice, and insertion takes about a minute under local anesthesia.
The chips, called the VeriChip, were designed by Palm Beach-based Applied Digital Solutions Inc.
The chips implanted in the Jacobs family contain only some telephone numbers and information about previous medications. The data can be read by a hand-held computer and printed out.
Company officials hope to eventually include more extensive information. The company says it would be particularly valuable for those who suffer from Alzheimer`s disease or others with difficulty providing medical information on their own.
VeriChip is expected to sell for about $200. A scanner used to read information contained in the chip would cost between $1,000 and $3,000. A doctor would insert the chip with a large needle-like device.

Hype surrounds 1st chip implants
BY BEATRICE E. GARCIA
bgarcia@herald.com
Today, a family in Boca Raton and an 82-year-old Broward County man suffering with Alzheimer`s will be the first people implanted with microchips containing information that could help them in a medical emergency.
A barrage of media attention has surrounded Applied Digital Solutions, the Palm Beach company that makes the chips, including appearances on national network TV news and talk shows, cable investor programs and local and national newspaper write-ups.
Its stock price since April 1 has rocketed from 47 cents to $2.28 on Thursday. Trading volume in its shares has ballooned to levels that even the stock market`s premier companies rarely see. One day in late April, more than 121 million shares changed hands.
Amid all this activity, some stock analysts and investors are wondering whether Applied Digital can really convert all the hype into bottom-line results. There are concerns whether the company`s claims for its technology, the potential market for users and future products will be really borne out.
A key question is whether the company can actually grab a major chunk of the estimated $15 billion market in emergency information and verification. The company believes it has ``first mover`` advantage on its side.
LARGE DEBTS
However, the company is facing hefty obligations. Applied Digital has an $87.3 million obligation to IBM credit with a 17 percent interest rate that keeps rising until the company repays the debt. Meanwhile, the company lost $198 million in 2001 and had revenue from continuing operations of $156 million.
The VeriChip, the microchips that will be implanted in these four people, isn`t technology that Applied Digital invented. It acquired the technology when it purchased Destron Fearing in 2000.
Destron Fearing is among a handful of firms around the country that make a similar RFID (radio frequency identification device) chip that has been implanted in pets, livestock and other animals for tracking purposes since the mid-1990s. RFID chips also are used for tagging cargo pallets and railroad cars.
Analysts who follow the RFID market these days say the chips are widely accepted as tags for pets that might stray from home. But the market penetration remains low.
The RFID market was estimated at about $900 million for 2001, according the Venture Development Corp., a Natick, Mass., research firm that follows the information verification industry. The firm forecasted about $30 million in sales for the animal tagging segment. The biggest chunks of this market are security and access control, such as ID cards that give employees access to a workplace, said David Krebs, a group manager who follows this industry for VDC.
Krebs and other analysts who follow the RFID business contend the market share for human ID chips would be even smaller than the market for tagging pets.
INCOMPATIBLE DEVICES
One reason for the slow acceptance has been that initially there was no uniform way to access the information on the chips. Each chipmaker produced its own reader. Veterinarians, humane societies and city animal shelters were reluctant to buy scanners that might be incompatible with many of the chips on the market.
When chip manufacturers began making universal scanners, the market for chip implants for locating stray pets began to grow.
Initially, Applied Digital Solutions faces a similar quandary with its chips in humans.
Doctors in healthcare facilities need to have scanners to read the ID numbers, which are tied to a database with medical and personal information for each person who has been ``chipped.``
Dr. Richard Seelig, Applied Digital`s vice president for medical applications, said the company has started discussions with the major medical centers and hospitals in Broward and Palm Beach counties about using scanners, which the company provides, in their emergency rooms.
So far, no hospital has agreed to use the scanners that read the information on the VeriChip, although they ``enthusiastically support the concept of the VeriChip,`` he said. But Seelig explains each healthcare organization has a long, involved approval process for new medical technology.
A spokeswoman for Boca Raton Community Hospital said that officials there met with Applied Digital and reviewed the VeriChip. But the hospital decided not to accept the scanner over concerns about the confidentiality and the timeliness of the information in the database.
``We don`t want to treat patients with old information. That could be a serious liability problem on our side,`` she said.
``You`re dealing with a chicken-and-egg situation here,`` Krebs said. ``If doctors don`t have the readers, what good are the tags?``
Others have wondered how healthcare workers will even know whether a critically injured person is implanted with a VeriChip.
In an appearance on a cable news show Thursday afternoon, Applied Digital`s chief technology officer Keith Bolton said that people implanted with a VeriChip would most likely carry a card in their wallets to alert healthcare workers.
Seelig contends that because the whole process to set up human use of the VeriChips and provide access to ID information is so complex, Applied Digital had to begin somewhere. It started with the implants.
IMPLANT CENTERS
In late April, the company said it had ``identified`` a medical center in Palm Beach County to serve as the first authorized VeriChip center. On Wednesday, Bolton told The Herald that two centers had been set up, one in Palm Beach County, the other in Broward.
Two medical practices performing today`s implants aren`t these centers. The Boca Raton facility has a relationship with the Jacobs family of Boca Raton, who are receiving chips, and the physician who regularly treats the Alzheimer`s patient, Nathan Isaacson of Tamarac, is doing his implant.
Among Applied Digital`s many pronouncements in recent days is news that it has set up a distribution agreement for VeriChips with a ``leading`` Mexican personal security company called Speko. However, a search for the company didn`t turn up any information.
In late March, Applied Digital began advertising for a distributor in Latin America via online yellow pages at chilnet.cl.
As the attention surrounding today`s ``chipping`` events has mounted, Applied Digital`s top executives -- in various interviews and in company press releases -- have started talking about a more advanced chip it has in the wings. This chip, which might not be as tiny as the VeriChip, will incorporate GPS technology so that it can be used to track lost people.

Hallo Leute,

was ist da heute schiefgelaufen ?

Silverman, who said Applied Digital expects to release its first-quarter results
within the next week, reiterated his guidance for the quarter. The company said
it should be EBITDA positive in the first quarter, its cash balance increased by
more than $3 million to more than $7 million and it`s in full compliance with
all debt covenants with its senior lender.
He added that the company right now doesn`t need to issue more stock to fund its
operations or its marketing for VeriChip.
