Hat jemand schon mal was von Canargo Energy gehört und hierzu verfizierte Daten? Habe diverse Inteneteinträge und Kurzverweise finden können, so u.a. eine Empfehlung vom 02.11.04 auf Aktien-Check.de

doch das war´s dann auch schon. Da es der einzige im Westen handelbare Wert aus Georgien ist (an der Börse Berlin äusserst geringe, an der AMEX hingegen relativ gute Umsätze), finde ich die Aktie als Ergänzung zu diversen Kaspi-Werten eventuell eine Erwähnung wert. Natürlich handelt es sich hierbei nicht um einen georgischen Wert, sonden vielmehr um ein offensichtliches US-Unternehmen, was dort (in Georgien) seinen Geschäftszweck in der Öl-Exploration sieht. Macht natürlich auch Sinn, betrachtet man die guten Beziehungen USA-Georgien und die Interessen der Vereinigten Staaten, in dem überwiegend christlichen Georgien eine Art Basisstellung zur Wahrung ihrer Interessen am Kaspischen Meer zu errichten.

sieh dich mal bei ragingbull und bei yahoo um. Ich glaube das Symbol ist cnr. ich selbst habe keine canargo, setze eher auf kazakhstan oder direkt Werte in den USA.

noch was hör blos nicht auf aktencheck und andere, die kriegen teilweise nicht mal das richtige Operationsgebiet der Firmen hin. Verstehen absolut nichts von Öl und Gas etc. Als Einsteig empfehle ich Dir mal von Aton die Studie aus dem May zu Kaspian oils. findest du bei www.russlandaktien.de oder www.russia4u.de. ansonsten sieh in die threads zu tmxn, dragon bmb munai, pkz etc., wo sich einige hobbyyölologen samt mir rumtreiben, da kennt jemand canargo vielleicht genauer als ich.

ich habe aufgehört mir canargo genauer anzusheen, weil sie meist auf alten feldern produzieren, was zar gut für den cash flow ist, jedoch bzgl. reserven nicht soo viel hergibt.

Fallout continues from Ninotsminda blowout

Ninotsminda, in the Kakheti region of Sagarejo, is still recovering from the disaster it suffered a month ago, when for three days oil and gas gushed out of a borehole following a well blowout.

Georgian media notes that the region is still to be compensated for its losses - 30 hectares of woods must be cleaned and there is an ongoing danger to inhabitants` health. Papers also note that the CanArgo Energy Corporation, which owns the well, states that it will do everything to eradicate the results of the catastrophe.

The disaster occurred on September 10, when oil and gas under extreme pressure began jetting out of N100 well near the mountains in the outskirts of Ninotsminda, seriously damaging the surrounding territory.

A strong wind spread the gas and oil, and two villages in Sagarejo - Ninotsminda and Tskarostavi - were seriously affected. Locals reported that the `oil-rain` continued for two-and-a-half days before the company finally managed to stop the oil on the third day.

In a press release on September 13, CanArgo stated, "the well is flowing a considerable amount of oil and gas under what appears to be significant pressure." They added that "one of the world`s leading well control specialists is scheduled to arrive today to assist in capping the well."

Later on September 13, the company issued a second release noting that the well had been capped and "the situation is now under control."

A month after the borehole catastrophe, experts investigating the reason for the disaster concluded that it was not the fault of the oil workers, but was due to uncontrollable and unforeseeable processes happening deep in the earth - the N100 well itself extends some 16,000 feet below the surface.

In its recent articles Khvalindeli Dghe reported that the company is using old Soviet machines that are not as safe as modern Western machines in its exploration and quoted the company`s technical director Aleko Chichinadze as saying, "I saw drilling machines in Arabia which cost USD 100 million but we were not able to buy them."

The company, however, notes that they were preparing the well for an under balanced coiled tubing drilling program that CanArgo`s CEO and President David Robson, during at last week`s conference of the America-Georgia Business Council, described as one of the most modern systems in use.

The oil blow-out damaged approximately 30 hectares of woods, and the damage is so bad that residents state in 3 hectares it is impossible to save the trees. The company has begun cleaning the woods and the earth and specialists from Britain have been brought in to help the clean-up process. The work is complicated by the complex nature of the land, which includes 60-degree slopes.

So far, 1,700 local residents have received check ups in medical institutions and some of them have been kept in hospitals. According to media reports, during the first three days some of the local population had symptoms of poisoning and the drinking water was contaminated forcing people to bring water from neighboring villages in tanks. The company has promised the population that it will drill wells and supply them with drinking water. It has also purchased the grape harvest from farmers, paying the market price.

Sets out ambitious 2005 production plans
Canargo Energy yesterday held a conference call in the wake of the release of its 3Q04 US GAAP results and outlined production plans for 2005. And the market seemed to like the vision: as the stock extended a multi-day rally to close at $0.82, ahead of our end-2005 target price of $0.77.

Canargo said it expects production at its Samgori and Ninotsminda fields - currently 1,300bpd - to rise sharply to 10,000bpd (gross) in September-October 2005, following the implementation of a UBCTD drilling program that will see sophisticated work overs completed at 15 wells. The results of the first well operating under the UBCTD program are expected before year-end.

Meanwhile, the company`s Manavi field, which is not producing yet, is planed to have output of 5,000bpd at the end of next year.

Canargo`s projections appear realistic as they are based on an expected well flow of 580bpd from worked over wells and the company has more than adequate financial resources to fund this program following the recent equity offering that raised around $35mn.

We note, however, that the forecast total production of 15,000bpd is 5.4mn bbls of annual production or 77% of Canargo`s proven reserves base.

In the company`s defense, those reserve figures date to 2003 and likely do not account for all of the company`s possibilities; yet they are the only publicly available information on its reserves.

We would like to see first signs that this ambitious program is being executed on time and on budget before we revisit our current Hold recommendations. Yet, we recognize that in the event these ambitious targets are met the stock price could double from current levels.

Zuletzt hatte man etwas entäuschende Bohrergebnisse, diese rechtfertigen aber keinen Kurssturz von über 2$ auf 1,15$.
Deshalb habe ich vorgestern gekauft. Zwar wieder etwas früh - wie immer - aber dennoch auf diesem Niveau ein interessanter Ölplay.

Ach ja: Nur weil sich der Ölpreis momentan in einer normalen Korrektur nach diesem Anstieg und in der allgemeinen Frühjahrskorrektur nach dem Winter befindet, wird dennoch am Anschlag produziert und verbraucht.
Die Driving-Season kann beginnen

Vielleicht sollte man sich noch Transmeridian, nach einer möglichen Korrektur wohl noch Dragon Oil ins Depot legen.
Für mich die drei interessantesten Werte.
Eine Nelson oder Burren ist wohl schon viel zu teuer
