22 March 2023 – Falcon Oil & Gas Ltd. (TSXV: FO, AIM: FOG) is pleased to announce the successful completion of a 25-stage stimulation programme at the Amungee NW-2H (“ A2H ”) well.
The A2H well was drilled to a total depth (TD) of 3,883 metres, including a 1,275-metre horizontal section within the Amungee Member B Shale (formerly known as the Middle Velkerri B-shale), in the Beetaloo Sub-Basin, Northern Territory, Australia with Falcon Oil & Gas Australia Limited’s joint venture partner, Tamboran (B1) Pty Limited (“ Tamboran ”) in December 2022 with stimulation commencing in February 2023.
Stimulation Programme Details :
25 stages were successfully stimulated across a 1,020-metre horizontal section within the Amungee Member B Shale, with approximately 2,125 pound per foot of proppant placed along the completed horizontal section.
Proppant was placed using 5-½-inch casing and was based on modern US shale design, the design is anticipated to result in improved flow rates during the extended production test.
Stimulation fluid flow back will commence imminently and is estimated to take several weeks before the well is shut-in for installation of production tubing.
30-day initial production (IP30) flow rates are expected during the second quarter of 2023.

The A2H stimulation programme will be executed utilising proven US-style shale stimulation designs and techniques, including the use of 5-½-inch casing, by Condor Energy Services, a respected Australian energy services provider.
5-½-inch casing will allow the optimal placement of sand and fluid at an increased rate to the perforations during stimulation and has been proven to deliver significantly higher production rates.
Following stimulation, up to four-weeks of fluid flow back is expected to take place prior to the installation of production tubing.
The 30-day initial production rates are expected early in the second quarter of 2023.

Für mich interessante Punkte aus dem Video:
-) Amungee, das Bohren hat gut geklappt
-) In die Bohrung wird ein 5 1/2" Liner eingebaut dh man kann einen größeren Frac (Pumprate) pumpen (Nachteil, was er nicht gesagt hat: grössere Rohre kollabieren leichter und die Deformierung der Rohre war in der Vergangenheit ein Problem. Ist zu hoffen dass sie die Rohre mit den größeren lbs/ft genommen haben)
-) Als Servicefirma wurden weder HAL noch SLB genommen sondern der australische Platzhirsch Condor (denke und hoffe dass die Sheffield Amis den Australiern schon erzählen werden, was gebraucht wird)
-) POQ schwärmt von der Erfahrung und Expertise von den Pioneer/Sheffield Leuten : naja, dass die Amis in Texas sich damit am besten auskennen, weiss man seit Ende der 90iger Jahre seit Mr Mitchell damit erste Erfolge hatte) Das Argument das ich gelten lasse: heute schauen die shale gas Amis vielleicht ein wenig intensiver über den eigenen Tellerrand raus, weil die Claims dort drüben abgesteckt und viele der sweet spots inzwischen abgegrast sind. In Canada gibt es zB ein Basin, das gerade mit vielen hundert Bohrungen pro Jahr boomt.
-) Zeitplan: die Fracs sollen Mitte Feb beginnen, Ende März vielleicht die ersten Förderzahlen und dann sind die 30 d, 60 d 90d Produktionszahlen wichtig für den verlängerten Produktionstest.
-) ab 3 mio cft/d sollte es weiter gehen im Beetaloo, TBN der Operator hofft auf 5 mio cft/d
-) Inpex und vielleicht STO sind für mich die logischsten Anwärter auf das Gas bzw die Shares von FOG. Ich denke vor allem an INPEX.
-) und dann erzählt er was er für einen tollen Deal er ausgehandelt hat, dafür dass er nicht die 100% der Konzession von ORG übernommen hat - mMn hätte man auch mit den 100% der Konzession sowohl den Kauf von dem ORG Anteil als auch ein attraktives free carry hin bekommen können, wenn Herr POQ den Exit von ORG nicht verpennt hätte.
Daumen halten dass alles reibungslos klappt mit dem Frac und dass dann vor allem gute Testraten gemeldet werden.
