Wide zone of zinc mineralisation intersected at Eastman

Magma Metals Limited

Centralised Company Announcement Office
Australian Stock Exchange Limited
10th Floor, 20 Bond Street
SYDNEY NSW 2000
Dear Sir,
WIDE ZONE OF ZINC MINERALISATION INTERSECTED AT THE EASTMAN
Cu-Zn-Pb-Au-Ag PROSPECT, EAST KIMBERLEY
Magma Metals Limited (Magma) completed a nine-hole 1,640m reverse circulation
drilling program at the Eastman Prospect, within its Eastman Project (Figures 1 & 2),
in the East Kimberley in August. The drilling program was designed to establish the
grade, geometry and continuity of mineralisation at the prospect and test for
immediate depth and strike extensions. Copper-zinc-lead-gold-silver mineralisation
had been defined by relatively wide-spaced drilling over a strike length of 200m by
previous explorers.
Preliminary assay results from the first three drill holes, ERC 42, 43 & 44, have been
received. Drill holes ERC 43 & 44 intersected a wide zone of zinc mineralisation in the
centre of the prospect (Figures 3 & 4):
Drill Hole ERC 43: 52m @ 1.8% Zn from 125m
Drill Hole ERC 44: 23m @ 1.8% Zn from 102m
The broad zone of zinc mineralisation contains a number of higher-grade poly-metallic
lodes, including:
Drill Hole ERC 43:
5m @ 5.76g/t Au, 45.7g/t Ag, 0.9% Cu, 6.7% Pb & 5.8% Zn from 125m
including 2m @ 13.50g/t Au, 99.5g/t Ag, 1.7% Cu, 13.8% Pb & 9.0% Zn from 127m
Drill Hole ERC 44:
7m @ 0.58g/t Au, 35.2g/t Ag, 1.2% Cu, 2.3% Pb & 3.4% Zn from 118m
including 1m @ 2.48g/t Au, 87g/t Ag, 3.2% Cu, 7.5% Pb & 10.1% Zn from 123m
There were no significant results from drill hole ERC 42, which intersected a mafic
intrusion.
The intersections in holes ERC 43 & 44 are broadly consistent with those in previous
drill holes and demonstrate that the mineralisation envelope shows good continuity
and extends at depth in the centre of the prospect (Figure 4).
Geological logging of the drill samples indicates that the broad mineralised zones are
likely to be continuous and extend over a strike length of approximately 250m (Figure
3).
Assay results from the other six drill holes are expected over the next 3-4 weeks.
Further results will be reported in batches. Once all results have been received and
interpreted it is anticipated that there will be enough information to estimate a
preliminary Inferred Mineral Resource for the prospect. This resource estimate will
be used to guide further exploration drilling and evaluation work.
Significant preliminary assay results from drill holes ERC 43 & 44 are tabulated
below:
Drill Hole Interval(m) Intercept(m) Au(g/t) Ag(g/t) Cu(%) Pb(%) Zn(%)
ERC 43 113-115 2 3.24 8.8 0.4 1.4 1.6

& 173-176 3 0.35 26.0 - 1.7 4.5
ERC 44 80-82 2 0.16 8.3 - 0.8 2.7
85-87 2 0.30 4.8 0.7 0.6 2.5
98-99 1 0.12 7.0 - 0.8 3.4
102-125 23 - - - - 1.8

Including: 140-141 1 0.13 126.0 1.9 3.2 6.7
(Significant results are reported at a >0.5% Zn lower-grade cut-off, with maximum 2m internal
intervals <0.5% Zn)
There are several other Cu-Zn-Pb-Au-Ag prospects within the project area at an
earlier stage of evaluation which have returned promising results from historic
exploration (Figure 2), including the Landrigan Prospect where previous drill
intersections included 9.6m at 2.7% Cu, 1.5% Zn, 0.3% Pb, 12.6g/t Ag & 1.5g/t Au.
Magma also intends to investigate the resource potential of these prospects.
A high-resolution aeromagnetic and radiometric survey of the Eastman Project area
is scheduled to commence in October. The aeromagnetic survey is designed to map
in detail the principal target horizons for Cu-Zn and Ni-Cu-PGE deposits, and in
particular, identify zones of alteration within these horizons, which may reflect
mineralisation. The radiometric survey is designed to detect anomalies that may be
related to uranium mineralization, particularly in the eastern part of the project area.
Magma is earning a 70% interest in the Eastman Project from Navigator Resources Limited.
Yours sincerely

MAGMA METALS LIMITED

Centralised Company Announcement Office
Australian Stock Exchange Limited

SYDNEY NSW 2000
Dear Sir,
POTENTIAL SOURCE OF PLATINUM-PALLADIUM MINERALISED GLACIAL
BOULDERS IDENTIFIED AT THE THUNDER BAY NORTH PROJECT IN CANADA
Magma Metals (Canada) Limited (Magma Canada), a 100% owned subsidiary of
Magma Metals Limited, completed a helicopter-borne aeromagnetic and radiometric
survey of its Thunder Bay Project in northwest Ontario (Figure 1) in July. Digital data
from this survey have just been received. The survey was designed to detect
magnetic anomalies which could reflect a potential source intrusion for the PGEmineralised
boulders found on the shores of Current Lake (Figure 2). The glacial ice
transport direction is from the northeast and some of these boulders have likely been
moved from the northeast by the ice sheet. Their large size and angular morphology
suggest a proximal source.
The boulders are composed of the ultramafic rock serpentinite and contain up to 5%
disseminated sulphides and abundant magnetite; the source intrusion should
therefore generate a prominent magnetic anomaly.
As previously reported in the Company’s Prospectus dated 3rd April 2006 and its
Quarterly Report for the period ended 30 June 2006, assays for the West Shore
Boulders range up to 1.0% Cu, 0.3% Ni & 9.5g/t Pt+Pd+Au, and assays for the East
Shore Boulders range up to 0.7% Cu, 0.2% Ni & 5.5g/t Pt+Pd+Au.
The aeromagnetic survey mapped an intense linear magnetic anomaly,
approximately 1.5km long and up to 200m wide, broadly coincident with the central
and eastern parts of Current Lake (Figure 3). This is interpreted to reflect a maficultramafic
intrusion into a north-northwest trending structure in the Archaean
basement. The shape of the intrusion may be influenced by a cross-cutting northeast
trending basement structure. The intrusion cuts across the east-northeast trend of the
Archaean Quetico basement rocks indicating a younger age.
The intrusion is likely to be related to the overlying Proterozoic-aged Keweenawan
Supergroup which hosts several Ni-Cu-PGE deposits in the Great Lakes region. This
interpretation is supported by geochemical analysis of the boulders which indicates
close compositional similarity to other mineralised Keweenawan ultramafic intrusions,
including a 1: 1 Pt: Pd ratio.
The east shore boulders are believed to have undergone only minor movement by
glacial ice and are interpreted to be essentially in-situ. The west shore boulders are
interpreted to have been transported at least 200m to the southwest by glacial ice.
The magnetic anomaly is a priority drilling target and an initial diamond drilling
program of approximately 1,000 metres has been planned to commence in early
November 2006.
Magma Canada is earning a 100% interest in the Thunder Bay North project from
two individuals, subject to a 3% net smelter royalty (NSR). Magma Canada has the
right to acquire 1% of the NSR.
More information on the Thunder Bay North Project is available on the Company’s
website at www.magmametals.com.au.

MEDIA RELEASE
19 SEPTEMBER 2006
MAGMA METALS TO DRILL LARGE ANOMALY AT CANADIAN PGE PROJECT
MAGNETIC ANOMALY BELIEVED TO MAP THE SOURCE OF PGE-MINERALISED GLACIAL BOULDERS
Minerals company Magma Metals Limited (ASX: MMB) is aiming to commence the first drilling program
at its Thunder Bay North Project in Canada in November this year, after a recently completed
aeromagnetic survey identified a large magnetic anomaly believed to be the source of strongly mineralised
ultramafic glacial boulders previously identified at the project.
Perth-based Magma said today (Tuesday) it had received encouraging results from a helicopter-borne
aeromagnetic and radiometric survey designed to locate the source for the PGE-mineralised boulders,
previously identified on the shores of Current Lake. The Thunder Bay Project is located in north-western
Ontario, some 50km to the south-east of Magma’s other Canadian project, the Tib Lake Project (itself
located near the world-class 5 million ounce Lac des Iles PGE mine).
Magma’s Managing Director, Dr Keith Watkins, said the aeromagnetic survey mapped an intense linear
magnetic anomaly, approximately 1.5km long and up to 200m wide, broadly coincident with the central and
eastern parts of Current Lake. “Our geological interpretation of the area suggests that this magnetic anomaly
is being generated by an ultramafic intrusion beneath the lake which is potentially the source of the
mineralised boulders found on the lake shore – as such, it is a high priority drilling target ,” he said.
“The glacial ice transport direction is from the northeast, which indicates that some of these boulders have
likely been moved from the northeast by the ice sheet; however, their large size and angular morphology
suggests a proximal source,” Dr Watkins continued.
The boulders are composed of the ultramafic rock serpentinite and contain up to 5% disseminated sulphides
and abundant magnetite, which indicates that the source intrusion should generate a prominent magnetic
anomaly. Previous assays for the West Shore boulders range up to 1.0% Cu, 0.3% Ni and 9.5g/t platinum
+ palladium + gold, and assays for the East Shore boulders range up to 0.7% Cu, 0.2% Ni and 5.5g/t
platinum + palladium + gold.
Dr Watkins said an initial diamond drilling program of approximately 1,000 metres was planned to
commence at Thunder Bay North in early November 2006. Magma is earning a 100% interest in the
Thunder Bay North Project from two individuals, subject to a 3% net smelter royalty, of which 1% can be
bought back.
The exploration success at Thunder Bay follows encouragement for Magma on another front, following the
announcement last week that drilling at its Eastman Prospect in the East Kimberley region of Western
Australia had intersected wide zones of zinc mineralisation. Best results from this program included 52m @
1.8% zinc from 125m (including 5m @ 5.76g/t gold, 45.7g/t silver, 0.9% copper, 6.7% lead and 5.8%
zinc from 125m) and 23m @ 1.8% zinc from 102m (including 7m @ 0.58g/t gold, 35.2g/t silver, 1.2%
copper, 2.3% lead and 3.4% zinc). Further results from this drilling program are anticipated over the next
few weeks, which will form the basis of a preliminary Inferred Mineral Resource for the prospect.
Magma is also drilling at the highly prospective Mt Jewell Nickel Project in the East Yilgarn region of
Western Australia. One of targets in this program is the potential depth extension to the known nickel
sulphide Inferred Mineral Resource of 86,000 tonnes at 2% nickel. Magma has intensive exploration
programs underway on several fronts following its ASX listing on 2 June 2006 on a diversified portfolio of
advanced exploration assets in Australia and Canada
BACKGROUND - ADVANCED PROJECTS IN WORLD-CLASS MINERAL PROVINCES
Magma Metals Limited has assembled a portfolio comprising the rights to earn majority interests in seven
nickel-copper-PGE projects in the well-established mineral provinces of the East Yilgarn and East
Kimberley in Western Australia and the Thunder Bay region of Ontario, Canada.
In the East Yilgarn, Australia’s premier nickel production province, Magma has a 1,800km2 ground position
covering the Mt Jewell, Laverton and Roe Projects. Magma’s initial focus in this region is on the Mt Jewell
Project (Magma earning a 60% interest), which includes the GSP deposit (Inferred Mineral Resource of
86,000 tonnes at 2% nickel) as well as a number of other drill targets where previous ore-grade intersections
have been recorded.
The Mt Jewell Project is located some 30km north-west of the Silver Swan and Black Swan Nickel mines
(operated by LionOre Mining International Ltd). Magma is currently drilling the potential depth extension
of the GSP resource as well as other targets in the project.
In the East Kimberley, Magma has a 550km2 tenement holding in the emerging Halls Creek nickel-copper-
PGE province which hosts the operating Sally Malay nickel-copper mine and the Panton Sill PGE deposit
as well as the Koongie Park copper-zinc deposits. Its two East Kimberley projects, Eastman and Laura
River, are prospective for nickel, copper, PGE’s and zinc, while the Laura River Project is also prospective
for gold and uranium, which will also be assessed as part of planned exploration activities.
The two Thunder Bay projects in Canada are located near the major Lac des Iles PGE mine and 5mtpa
processing plant. At the more advanced Tib Lake project, where the geology is analogous to the 5 million
ounce Lac des Iles deposit, ore grade mineralisation of up to 19.5 metres at 1.7g/t combined platinum,
palladium and gold has been intersected in previous drilling – a grade similar to the open pit head grade at
Lac des Iles.

Hallo didius,
(vergl. http://sa.iguana2.com/cache/52a73549ebfe421a2ec9ea5ecd7f54cb…)
Tom

Magma shares surge nearly 60 per cent
December 21, 2006 - 1:44PM
Shares in junior explorer Magma Metals Ltd have surged close to 60 per cent on the back of exploration results from its Thunder Bay North project in Canada.
Magma shares gained 19 cents or 58.46 per cent to 52 cents by 1310 AEDT.
The company said drilling, which is targeting a 1.5 kilometre long anomaly, had indicated the potential for a significant platinum-palladium-copper deposit.
Magma is conducting a five hole diamond drill campaign to test targets at its Thunder Bay North and Beaver Lake projects northwest of Ontario.
The program is expected to be completed by late February.

Magma Metals closes in on potentially significant Canadian platinum discovery
Diversified explorer, Magma Metals has intersected a significant sulphide zone in ultramafic peridotite in the first hole drilled at its Thunder Bay North platinum-palladium project in Canada, suggesting that it has confirmed the source of high-grade surface platinum mineralisation in boulders, grading up to 9.5g/t Pt+Pd+Au, 1.0% copper and 0.3% nickel.
Ultramafic boulder
Magma is conducting a 1,500m diamond drilling program to test a number of magnetic targets identified at its Thunder Bay North and Beaver Lake projects, which are located within a well-established mineral province in northwest Ontario.
These contiguous projects are located approximately 50km southeast of the large Lac des Iles palladium-platinum mine and 5mtpa processing plant, and 50km northeast of the city of Thunder Bay.
Magma’s first phase of drilling at Thunder Bay North is targeting a magnetic anomaly approximately 1.5km long and up to 200m wide at Current Lake. The company is progressing a second hole at this project while awaiting assay results, due in January next year, from the first diamond drill hole.
Magma’s Managing Director, Dr Keith Watkins said that while assay results were still awaited, the zone of sulphides intersected in the first hole was considered to be highly significant, particularly the 10m wide zone containing two to eight percent sulphides.
“This rock is sufficiently magnetic that we believe it is the source of the large magnetic anomaly being targeted by the current drilling,” Dr Watkins said.
“Geophysical modeling of the anomaly indicates that it reflects a shallow, steep-dipping tabular intrusion, which is interpreted to be the source of the platinum-palladium-gold-copper-nickel mineralised boulders found on the western and eastern shores of Current Lake,” he said.
The East Shore Boulders are believed to have undergone only minor movement by glacial ice and are interpreted to be essentially in-situ. The West Shore Boulders are interpreted to have been transported at least 200m to the southwest by glacial ice.
Dr Watkins said the sulphidic peridotite intersected in the first drill hole was interpreted to lie down-dip from the East Shore Boulders and was identical in appearance to the mineralised boulders.
“We are very encouraged by the initial drilling, which, subject to assay results, has substantially upgraded the potential for a significant PGE discovery at Thunder Bay North,” he said.

I suggest people try not to give their winning hands away for a fraction of it’s potential value…
In my view, we have another special situation here…or at least the serious potential for one.
We have an already confirmed strike of some 1km from a target of some 1.5km+…with indications of width up to 200m in places.
In my view this is pointing to a serious find…especially for these sorts of in this part of the world.
lol…now for some of those numbers I love so much…
To be conservative, I will assume an average width of just 50m (ranges 0-200m), a depth of just 100m (we have this confirmed already) and a strike of 1km (already confirmed)
Summary: 1000m (strike) x 50m (width) x 100m (depth) = 5,000,000 m3…x 3.2 (sg) = 16,000,000 tonnes
Discounting the high grade results from the transported materials, and paying greater attention to the average grade of all test samples,we come up with the following potential parameters…
Cu @ .5% (recoverable) x 16m tonnes = 80,000t Cu = $800m
Ni @ .2% (recoverable) x 16m tonnes = 32,000t Ni = $1,088m
PGM's 4.5g/t (recoverable) = 2,314,800 oz (assume av $800/oz) = $1,855m
Silver?
Zinc?
Total in-situ value (recoverable) = $3,743m…or… $3.74 billion
An applied market value of 10%of inground (assuming an economic resource) gives us a market cap of $374m…or about $5.67 per share.
Add cash, and other assets and you get about $6.00 per share.
Now before getting too excited, remember this will not happen overnight, but if drilling continues to confirm the nature of this find, such prices are more than possible.
Remember also, the above numbers assume a depth of just 100m…which has already been confirmed…double this to 200m for similar grade and you get $12 per share. Importantly, mineralisation to 1km is not uncommon in this part of the woods, although I would be happy with just 500m.
Clearly the potential here is significant…so if you do feel the need to be a dumbo by giving your shares away to someone else who is not, someone else who has potential done their homework, I suggest that you at least hang on to a few just in case.
I wonder how many people originally held significant numbers of shares (in the early days) in a certain other stock, with similar potential, but by the time the run was in full swing, held only a fraction of what they originally started with?
Interestingly, if your trades are going against you on this one, it’s more than likely because some pretty smart cookies are playing you for your stock…this in itself should be indication enough for most punters to hold on.
Remember, some of the best stories in recent times have seen manipulated share prices…both up and down…and none of them went up every day.
I suggest people forget the idea that this is trading from news to news…it might “spike” on news days, but from now on in my view, it is trading on results. Oh and by the way…further drilling results are actually due (zinc) according to the company…and no doubt we still have the possibility for a rushed special on the Canadian assays?
So…news will be there for those who live by such things…and significant already in the bag for those who do not.
Cheers!

Hallo didius,

- Lieferspesen: 17,50 AUD.
- Provision an comdirect: 7,90 EUR + 0,25 % vom Kurswert.
