Nachdem der Börsengang der mic ag offensichtlich spurlos an den Privatanlegern vorbeigegangen ist, möchte ich endlich auch für diese Aktie einen Thread eröffnen und zur Diskussion anregen.

Folgende Meldung habe ich heute gefunden:

Proton Motor (Proton Power Systems Group), eines der führenden europäischen Unternehmen für die PEM-Brennstoffzellen-Technologie ist seit 31.10.2006 erfolgreich im AIM an der Londoner Stock Exchange gelistet.

Die Gesellschaft konnte insgesamt 5.842,295 Aktien zu je 0,80 GBP platzieren. Damit fließen der Proton Motor über 4.67 Mio. GBP zu( ca. 7 Mio. Euro) brutto zu. Die Emission wurde von Bell Lawrie (Unternehmensbereich des Stock Brokers Brewin Dolphin Securities Ltd.)begleitet. Durch den Börsengang soll verstärkt in die Produktion und Infrastruktur der Gesellschaft investiert werden.

Die mic AG, Frühphaseninvestor in Technologieunternehmen hält seit 2003 eine indirekte Beteiligung an der Proton Motor. Die Proton Motor ist damit die erste von derzeit insgesamt 9 Beteiligungen der mic AG, die erfolgreich den Börsengang absolviert hat - nur wenige Tage, nachdem die mic AG am Entry Standard der Frankfurter Wertpapierbörse gelistet wurde.

Venture Finance Exit Profit


General Capital Group plc (AiM: GENC), the independent asset and venture finance specialist, announces that it will take an exceptional profit of approximately £300,000 during the second half of its financial year ending 31 December 2006.

This profit follows the successful recent flotation of Proton Power Systems plc (“Proton”), whose shares were admitted to trading on AiM on 31 October 2006. On its first day of dealing, Proton’s shares traded at a premium of 15% and remain above their issue price. Of the £300,000, £125,000 has been realised in cash, and the balance is currently held in Proton shares, valued at the flotation price. It is General Capital’s policy to recognise equity holdings in its accounts only when a third party valuation event has occurred.

Proton is a fuel cell system developer. In March 2006, Proton acquired the commercial benefits of the fuel cell technologies owned by its German associate. This acquisition was funded using mezzanine facilities provided by General Capital. The AIM flotation of Proton has allowed the cash repayment of the General Capital loan facility and related interest in full, which amounted to £537,500.

Finally, as a consequence of Proton raising £4.67 million in new equity at flotation, General Capital has conditionally agreed to provide further secured facilities to Proton, and accordingly looks forward to working with Proton in the future.

Commenting on the transaction Jonathan Hill, Executive Deputy Chairman of General Capital, said: “We congratulate the Proton board and its advisers, with whom we have worked closely over recent weeks, on achieving admission to AiM. We purposefully elected to receive a proportion of our fees in shares as we believe the sector in which Proton is active offers excellent potential returns”.

David Hickey, Non Executive Chairman of General Capital, added: “This exit further underscores the value of General Capital’s Venture Finance model which, in this case, has resulted in us achieving an annualised IRR in excess of 100 percent. We are working on a number of other Venture Finance exits which have the potential to offer similar returns and look forward to further related announcements”.

Proton receives first commission under €2.5 million contract

Proton Power Systems plc ("PPS"), one of the world's
leading fuel cell hybrid systems companies, today announced that the Group has been commissioned to provide L-3 Communications Corporation ("L-3 Communications") with a $99,000 fuel cell system to be delivered in Q1 2007.

This agreement forms the first contract under a €2.5 million purchase and procurement agreement with L-3 Communications entered into in March 2006. Under the terms of that agreement, PPS' subsidiary Proton Motor Fuel Cell GmbH (PM) is developing a fuel cell system, to be commissioned in a series of orders over the
course of the next three years. This first fuel cell system is expected to be used in L-3 Communication's technology test center.


Additionally, L-3 Communications has placed a $45,200 service and engineering order with PM, comprising additional documentation and hardware and training, effective immediately.


Felix Heidelberg, PPS' Chief Executive Officer, said: "We are delighted to have the received the first order under this significant contract. We have a cost effective modular solution which provides an effective and economic way to combat climate change, and we look forward to working with L-3 Communications."


Separately, PM also announced that it had been informed by its customer Tecnobus SpA (Tecnobus), that for reasons internal to the company, Tecnobus is unable to continue work on its project involving using fuel cell systems on battery buses
in Italy. However Tecnobus has confirmed that it wishes to keep open its existing strategic collaboration with PM.

As a result, PM has agreed to repurchase for a consideration of €40,000 the unused as good as new fuel cell systems purchased by TecnoBus for €90,000.

PPS develops first hydrogen fuel cell-powered ship

London, January 26, 2007... Proton Power Systems plc ("PPS"), one of the world's leading electric hybrid fuel cells companies, today announces progress on its development of the first hydrogen fuel cell-powered ship capable of carrying up to 100 passengers.


From the summer of 2008, it will operate on Hamburg's Alster river. It is 25 m long, 5 m wide, and accommodates 100 passengers.

The project called Zero Emission Ships (ZEMSHIPS) is funded by the European Commission as part of its LIFE-Environment funding programme for environmental innovation.

As part of the project team PPS' subsidiary, Proton Motor ("PM"), is developing the propulsion system for ZEMSHIPS' motor using technology, based on its successful bus fuel cell application. The contract for PM is worth €1.15 million. Staged payments will be made over a 36-month period. ZEMSHIPS is just one of several public sector funding projects that PM is involved in over the next six months.

Felix Heidelberg, PPS' Chief Executive Officer, said "The requirement to improve air quality around major cities and the increasing worldwide acceptance of the need to reduce carbon dioxide emissions as a defence against climate change are
major drivers of our business.

"Not only will the ship eliminate emissions, it is also much quieter - so a candlelit dinner on deck will no longer be spoiled by the sound of groaning engines and the smell of exhaust fumes.

"Our technology matches the needs of the public and private sector alike to lower fuel consumption and eliminate harmful emissions, while at the same time improve the efficiency and performance of short distance transport fleets."

Other partners involved in the ZEMSHIPS project include: Alster-Touristik, the tourist ferry operator; Linde, which will be supplying the hydrogen infrastructure; the Government of the City of Hamburg, acting as coordinator; the Hamburg transport authority, Hamburger Hochbahn and Germanischer Lloyd for certification; as well as scientific institutions from Germany and the Czech
Republic.

PPS starts work on fuel cell hybrid system for Czech city bus with Skoda

Proton Power Systems plc ("PPS"), one of the world's leading
electric hybrid fuel cells companies, today began work on a €3.0 million contract for a city bus project launched in the Czech Republic. Developed in collaboration with Skoda Electric Pilsen, a leading manufacturer of trolleybuses, the new electric bus will operate in the Prague vicinity in 2009.

PPS, through its subsidiary, Proton Motor (PM) will develop a fuel cell system for the bus using technology based on its dedicated bus fuel cell application. The deal, which is subject to commercial contract terms being signed, will generate revenue of approximately €1.1 million for PM over the course of approximately the next 24 months.

The project called Fuel Cells Czech Hydrogen-Bus (FCZ H2-BUS) is funded by the European Commission, as part of its infrastructure funding programme, and other Czech institutions. The Czech Nuclear Research Institute (UJV Rez ) is acting as project coordinator, working with other Czech Republic partners.

Felix Heidelberg, PPS' Chief Executive Officer, said, "Cities across Europe are looking at ways to provide clean and efficient transportation to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and help stem climate change. Our fuel cell technology provides both the environmental and the technical solution to do this.

"Short distance transport fleets, like buses, can benefit from our hybrid fuel cell technology, which includes energy storage systems capable of providing power during peak demand situations and recovering braking energy. Following our bus projects in Germany, we hope this development with Skoda is the first of several such projects in cities across Europe."

Proton Motor Fuel Cell GmbH ("PM"), one of the world's leading electric hybrid fuel cells companies, today announced the commencement of work on a utility vehicle project in Switzerland in collaboration with the Swiss Bucher Municipal, the world's leading supplier of municipal vehicles for road and airport maintenance services.

The project, called "hy.muve" (Hydrogen Driven Municipal Vehicle) will see the development of a cleaning vehicle using PM's fuel cell system for commercial vehicles. The "sweepers" have high and non-continuous power demand for their various subsystems, such as driving motors, cleaning brushes and blowers, and as such will benefit from PM's expertise in developing hybrid fuel cell technology which includes energy storage systems capable of providing power during peak demand situations, and of recovering breaking energy.

The contract will generate revenues for PM of up to approximately €396,000 over the next 42 months, if the feasibility phase is completed successfully.

Felix Heidelberg, PPS' Chief Executive Officer, said, "Our technology is ideal for a wide range of industrial applications where energy demands vary and back-to-base refueling occurs, both in terms of cost effectiveness and in reducing adverse environmental impact.

Working with a leader in the municipal vehicle market on this project allows us to look at new applications beyond forklift trucks and city buses. The market potential for fuel cell hybrid cleaning vehicles in Europe is substantial and so far largely untapped."


The project is being coordinated by EMPA, the leading Swiss federal materials science and technology research institution, with other Swiss research institutions involved. The development kicks off with a feasibility study. Engineering, building and testing is scheduled to begin by April 2007.

With annual turnover of 537 million CHF, Bucher Municipal, a division of the Swiss Bucher Industries AG, is the world's market leader for municipal vehicles for road and airport maintenance services. Its product range includes road sweepers, snow clearing equipment and spreaders.

bei mic tut sich endlich was.... kurs wieder ueber 10 euro. wie man hoert kommen die naechsten woche sehr gute news. fuer mich ein gutes investment fuer die naechste zeit. der markt wird eh erst mal konsolidieren und da ist ein unternehmen wie mic der fels in der brandung. mein kursziel 14 euro also 40% upside

Proton Power Systems plc ("PPS"), through its subsidiary Proton Motor Fuel Cell GmbH ("PM"), one of the world's leading electric hybrid fuel cell companies, today announced an extension to a purchase and cooperation agreement to provide fuel cell stacks to an international technology leader for their 1 to 5KW family of products.

The original agreement was signed in December 2005 and this extension follows the successful completion of a number of milestones and is worth approximately 190k Euros.

Delivery of the fuel stacks is expected to begin in April this year and will continue for approximately 12 months, at which point a final design will be agreed for commercial volume production.

Felix Heidelberg, PPS' Chief Executive Officer, said, "The extension to this agreement underlines how close we are to achieving the industry's long term ambition of volume production of fuel cells. Proton Power is well placed to be the first to achieve this"

Die Münchner mic AG kündigt mit Gründung der 4DForce GmbH gleichzeitig ihr erstes US Engagement an. 4DForce hat einen neuartigen patentierten Verstärker für das Messen von Gehirnströmen und den Einsatz in Computerspielen entwickelt. Dieser Verstärker misst extrem kleine elektronische Impulse. Im Gegensatz zu konventionellen Verstärkern sind diese weniger störungsanfällig. Der Verstärker wird in Form eines 'Brainstick' für Computer eingesetzt werden. Ziel und Entwicklung in dieser Technologie ist es, ein Produkt für den riesigen Spielkonsolemarkt zu fertigen, was bedeutet, die schon funktionierende Technik in eine benutzerfreundliche und kostengünstige Form zu bekommen. Der Computer Brainstick hat schon im medizinischen Bereich, wie zum Beispiel im Neurofeedback, speziell hier zur Heilung von ADHS, Migräne etc. seine Funktion bewiesen.

Frankfurt (aktiencheck.de AG) - Manuel Martin, Analyst von Independent Research, empfiehlt die Aktie von mic (ISIN DE000A0KF6S5 (Nachrichten/Aktienkurs)/ WKN A0KF6S) zu kaufen.

Die mic AG sei ein Frühphaseninvestor mit aktivem Managementansatz, der sich auf Mehrheitsbeteiligungen im Technologiesektor fokussiert habe. Im Rumpfgeschäftsjahr sei ein Umsatz in Höhe von 53 Tsd. Euro und ein Jahresfehlbetrag von 670 Tsd. Euro generiert worden. Die Zahlen seien nicht mit den Schätzungen der Analysten vom September 2006 vergleichbar, da sie damals ein volles Geschäftsjahr unter Einbezug der mic Holding GmbH geschätzt hätten.

Die mic setze seit dem Börsengang im Oktober 2006 ihren Expansionskurs fort. Dabei sei ein Portfoliounternehmen, die Proton Power, an der AIM gelistet worden. Die ficonTEC (ein weiteres Portfoliounternehmen) habe den Bereich Automated Fiber Alignment von der Newport Corporation gekauft und mit den Gründungen μ-GPS und 4DForce habe die mic ihr Portfolio von 9 auf 11 Unternehmen erweitert. Mögliche Exit- oder Teilexit-Kandidaten für dieses Jahr könnten die Amicra und inheco sein, während die ficonTec ein Kandidat für 2008 sein könnte.

Die mic weise wie für einen Frühphaseninvestor typisch ein erhöhtes Chance-Risiko-Profil auf. Bei Unternehmen in der Frühphase bestehe die Möglichkeit, dass u. a. eine anfänglich vielversprechende Technologie sich nicht zur Marktreife entwickeln oder sich wegen ungünstiger Marktverhältnisse eine adäquate Anschlussfinanzierung nicht durchführen lasse. Allerdings seien dies für einen Frühphaseninvestor gängige Risiken, die von einem gut diversifizierten Portfolio kompensiert werden sollten.

Die Analysten würden für 2007e einen Jahresüberschuss von 0,88 (alt: 0,72) Mio. Euro prognostizieren und einen NAV von 14,31 (alt: 14,30) Euro je Aktie berechnen. Den Wert des Portfolios würden sie auf 28,33 (alt: 26,72) Mio. Euro mit einem Potenzialwert von 48,64 (alt: 62,89) Mio. Euro schätzen.

Warum sollte der Kurs überhaupt so weit ausbrechen? Kann ich mir ehrlich gesagt nicht vorstellen. Werde mir mic mal auf die Watchlist setzen, mal sehen ob ich irgendwann mal einsteigen werde.
