Dass ich bei der jetzigen Entwicklung noch dabei sein darf, habe ich nur meiner Sturheit und viel Geduld zu verdanken. "per aspera ad astra" oder so...
Ich rechne auch damit, dass im Laufe des nächsten Jahres die ersten Übernahmeangebote eintreffen werden (B2Gold???), und habe vor dabeizubleiben bis die dicke Frau gesungen hat...

I've no doubt that the newcomers to this thread may be a little disturbed by our antipodean poster, don't be! Pay very close attention to the two best posters on here who IMO are aleoap and V1d (there are others but I consider these two to provide the best insight into CNR). Personally I've had down_under on ignore for a very long time and only know what is being said by the tone of replies. I would not be surprised if our mystery antipodean was not connected in some way to the attempted takeover of CNR by Australian interests who failed miserably to acquire us on the cheap.
The key facts to bear in mind here is that the market is finally coming to recognise that we are about to announce a maiden JORC in Nicaragua. This news is not a panacea, there will be extra work to do in 2011 but in time we are heading for a JORC resource of at least 2m oz of Gold. It is perfectly possible that we have 3-5m oz as the Soviets were unable to complete their work when thrown out of Nicaragua in 1991. I spoke with a Geologist I know last week who said the following about CNR:
"Geology looks good and historical Russian resource calculations were always much better quality than used in the West (I used to work in projects in the FSU); for every one data point used in the West you can assume 4 were used in the Russian methodology. SRK are very reputable and if they think no verification is required then so be it, although personally I would be surprised if this was the case … normally at least 10-15% required for TSX but for AIM perhaps can get away with this. At the end of the day if SRK ‘sign it off’ then that is more than sufficient. "
Also worth noting and I quote:
"Klaus (one of the insiders) 1st class and excellent reputation and is a perceiver … Moto in Congo is a superb example of this and I know that story quite well."
Now if we get to say 3m oz of Gold in 2011/12 we are without question or doubt a takeover target for one of the majors, a mid-tier will come after us for less than that. Now we all know these guys have got literally bottomless pockets, particularly in the present POG environment. So even from todays price not far from 7p the upside remains in the realms of fantasy - in other words this is potentially another life changer for those who do their research and have a litle more than 3 or 4 days of patience.
My own investing strategy this last year or two has involved a huge amount of research and a whole load of patience and it has been my best time ever (by a factor of multiples). The keys is do your work on the fundamentals then have confidence in your convictions and hold, you always need be aware we'll have a bumpy ride as any share that has such a meteoric rise as this will attract shorters although I suspect a large number are held in strong hands which should limit this activity. The idiot de-rampers will on occasion be correct (and of course make a big deal of telling you so when the share price falls), but nothing goes up in a straight line and if the fundamentals don't change the only way is up! Always remember a clock strikes 12 twice a day, so they'll inevitably be right on occasion.
Good luck and here's hoping we close out 2010 at 10p or damn near to it!
Oh and one last thing. El Salvador could come back and hit us with the biggest bonus of a lifetime in 2011, remember it's priced at zero and our softly softly approach with the Government there may well stand us in good stead to get things going again once the current moratorium is finally resolved......and it will be given time - of that I've no doubt.
