Folks,
I know it is disheartening sometimes to see your opposition so boldly against you. For one, this group knew Weil was going to line up against equity but that does not take away some of the consternation that people feel when they state as much in open court.
I can safely say that it is "par for the course" in my experience. I was once on a committee in a bankrupcty case a little larger than this in terms of A & L and the debtors, their counsel, the creditors (two creditors committees) we all lined up against us. At various points they all stood up and said there is no equity. The gap between what they were all saying and what we believed to be value was several billion $. To make the long story short - we did not get zero. It took an all out war in court, for several weeks, to prove our case.
Do not be discouraged, but be encouraged that someone is willing to give us a shot to make our case. Do not lose your motivation. Do not lose your determination. We are just on the edge of the beginning, of the first step, of the initial movement, to almost getting started, and the bullets are already flying. Did you expect to fight a war without getting shot at? Weil knew what was going to happen when they opened their mouths today...the troubling part is they were probably laughing about it in the car home. Don't give them the satisfaction of becoming emotionally distressed.
Give them a wink, buy them a cup of coffee, and tell them "See you at the courthouse". For the average joe like me and likely many in this group it seems...when you commit to something you give it your best regardless of the obstacles. By telling them you will be there you are forcing yourself on display....and making sure there is no turning back.
This bankruptcy has destroyed many lives...do not let Weil and Co beat you down. That is their game. They rely on small courtrooms and little noise. They toy with people's lives and call it the bankruptcy business. Remember this...do not delude yourself into thinking they are there for you.
Show the world who they are and what they stand for when the time is right! I can tell you from experience it is hard to keep several hundered shareholders quiet...not to mention thousands.
