Er hat wohl mit dem Mamagement gesprochen. Dieses ist keineswegs im Bewußtsein, einen duster erlebt zu haben. Sie warten die jetzigen Logergebnisse ab (Im Sinne von "Ist das Gas verwertbar?" schätze ich) und werden bis zum Ende weiterbohren.

Have spoken to mngmnt, they will be waiting on the logs before making up their minds, but at the moment they are thinking its far from a duster, as they should, and are drilling on to final depth which will take another 2 weeks at least..

Bei den hotcoppers herrschte nach der Veröffentlichung zunächst auch Unsicherheit, bis dann ein oder zwei User zum Verkauf aufriefen im Sinne von "Wir waren doch alle auf Öl eingestellt und jetzt kommt Gas - und dann noch nicht mal viel."

Die News heißt "Drilling Update" und nicht "Endresultat Verkündung". Wahnsinn was manche Shareholder hier erwarten. Bohrer in den Sandboden und beim ersten Wildcat den ultimativen Treffer und am besten eine verwertbare Öl-Mengen Meldung.

Die News ist super positiv. Man hat Gas im Bohrwasser gefunden.

Es wird weitere Untersuchungen geben und dann wird weitergebohrt.

Bis jetzt ist alles im Lot.

Hm, in der Meldung wird angegeben, dass man derzeit eine Bohrtiefe von 2553m below rotary table erreicht hat. Wenn man davon die Wassertiefe und die Hoehe des rotary table abzieht, sind die erst bei ca. 1700m, also noch oberhalb der primary targets. Meinungen?

Hoffe Du hast Recht mit dem rebound. Jedenfall scheint mir dies eine uebertrieben negative Reaktion auf die Meldung zu sein.

Nach der bisher emotionalen Entwicklung und Erwartung gefühlsmäßig ein Schlag. Aber die Seismic Zeichnungen sagen, dass es evtl. durch ein Gasfeld gehen würde und dieses auch bei den Verantwortlichen klar war. Öl wird tiefer vermutet.

"Vom user "Bobafett" aus dem Hotcopper Forum vom 29.08.2012 (!). Hier werden nochmals die konkreten Erwartungen von Apache und Begleitern dargestellt:

Research note from Credit Suisse extract below mentions evidence of hydrocarbons from two previous wells in the basin in 1979 and 1985. Good to see also that Tullow Oil are "intrigued" by the 3D seismic at Mbawa.

Mbawa-1 well, offshore Kenya – oil play?
Apache (50% and operator), Origin (20%), Tullow (15%) and Pancontinental (15%)

Apache and partners are currently drilling the high-risk high-reward Mbawa-1 exploration
well in Block L-08, offshore Kenya. This is the first well offshore Kenya that is drilled on 3D
seismic data and has potential for both oil and gas across several play types at
Cretaceous and Jurassic reservoirs. Mbawa-1, results expected by October-end, is
targeting Pmean oil volumes of 200mmbbl gross and, if successful, it could de-risk several
other prospects. Apache, the operator, sees 2.8bn boe gross potential in targets identified
across multiple play types and several follow-on prospects.

Apache and partners are focused on finding light oil in a Gas Prone area (visibly
illuminated on seismic sections). The 2D and 3D seismic data show a possible double flat
spot, a direct hydrocarbon indicator (DHI) that could be possible gas-oil and oil-water contacts. The companies expect the upper flat spot to be a possible gas-oil or gas-water
contact, while a second flat spot 120m deeper is consistent with a possible oil-water contact. Tullow confirmed that there was an ‘intriguing’ signature in the 3D seismic that
adds a certain level of assurance (combined with observed oil slicks in the vicinity), but
explained that this is still a wildcat well and that these observations can only be validated
by drilling. The existence of a working hydrocarbon system in the basin has been
demonstrated by two previous wells – Simba-1 in 1979 that encountered gas shows in the
Tertiary/Upper Cretaceous section and the Kofia-1 well in 1985 encountered oil s

Man muss wohl tatsaechlich die wireline loggings abwarten und sehen, was die fuer Ergebnisse bringen.

Ich nutze die Panik und kaufe, "Elevated mud gas readings", besser als "Duster" isn't it??

Glück gehabt mit 0,088 oder 0,094 ? Stuttgart gab nicht mehr her als 10.000 St.

Hab ein paar Stücke nachgekauft da der Fisch hier noch nicht gegessen ist und anders als z.b. ADX hat PCL noch eine Menge cash in der Kasse, deshalb sollte das Riskio nach unten begrenzt sein.
