Hi this is a map as you can see of the Bismark Archipelago showing all ASX juniors.You will notice 5 small islands east of New Ireland both north and south of Simbari Island and Lihir Island in the arc which stretches from Manus Island in the top left corner of the map down past New Ireland all the way to Bougainville Island and the Panguna deopsit.Speaking to a few geologists I know and they tell me that MGK has the prime ground positions for a repeat of a Lihir look alike ie a world class discovery.You'll also notice they hold extensive lease applications on New Ireland's west coast as well and a couple of leases that sit in the copper belts of New Britain.What this map doesn't show is some other prime leases on the New Guinea mainland.
My conclusion is that MGK seem to be the best placed in terms of ground position of any of the ASX listed explorers in the area to achieve a world class company making discovery.As such,just like DEG and their Argentinian leases,it is a company I want to have a position in if such a discovery is to be made

schau dir mal lieber die Panguna an,die gehört BCL und ist die beste Story in ganz PNG

BCL gehören noch 7 weitere Lizenzen auf Bougainville,welche bald eigenständig werden

Öl- und Gas-Deal im aufstrebenden Ölstaat Papua Neuguinea (PNG)

Coral Sea Petroleum Ltd (WKN 924249, aktueller Name Orchid Capital Ltd.) soll zu einer Öl- und Gasgesellschaft in PNG werden. Chairman und Großaktionär wird PNG´s ex-Ölminister und Vizepremier, Chris Haiveta. Andere neue Direktoren werden zwei Größen in Australiens Bergbauindustrie, Yosse Goldberg und Domenic Martino (ex-CEO des Wirtschaftsprüfers Deloitte). Orchid wird neue Aktien ausgeben, etwas mehr als eine neue Aktie für jede existierende Aktie, und im Gegenzug 100% an der Firma Indo Pacific Energy mit etwa 11500 Quadratkilometern an Öl- und Gas-Explorationsgebieten erhalten.
Anfangs wird noch kein Öl produziert, aber Teile der Lizenzgebiete sind mit bereits seismisch untersucht worden und liegen nahe an bestehenden Öl- und Gaspipelines der zentralen Öl- und Gasregion von PNG. Orchid wird in Coral Sea Petroleum Ltd. umbenannt, in Anklang an das Seegebiet, in dem sich zwei der fünf Lizenzgebiete befinden, zwei weitere liegen auf dem Festland nahe der Küste der Coral Sea.

ich denke mir, wann hat man schon mal die Chance dabei zu sein, wenn ein Politiker an ein interessantes Rohstoffprojekt kommt? Der hat sich aus Australien noch Rohstoffexperten an Bord geholt, das ganze in den Orchid Mantel eingebracht und die Mehrheit an dem Unternehmen bekommen. Hoffen wir also dass es der beginnende Werdegang eines neuen Abramovich aus PNG wird

ASX ANNOUNCEMENT
CAPITAL RAISINGS COMPLETED
The directors of MIL Resources Limited (the “Company”) are pleased to announce the successful completion of the 3 for 5 non-renounceable entitlement offer (the “Entitlement Offer”) at $0.02 per share.
Shareholders took up 44% of their entitlements. Directors thank shareholders for this positive support of the Company and for their confidence in the Company’s forward program.
The Entitlement Offer was underwritten by Venture Group Equities Pty Limited who have arranged for subscription of the shares not taken up as entitlements. The Company has received $3.93 million before costs from the Entitlement Offer. Combined with the Placement completed on 9 March the Company has received $4.36 million after costs from the Capital Raisings.
With the proceeds from the Capital Raisings, after costs, the Company has a cash balance of approximately $4.7 million.
The company intends to use the funds raised from the Placement and the Entitlement Offer to:
• at the Golden Peak prospect in Papua New Guinea (PNG), continue trenching and sampling to define a drill target and if successful drill the target;
• at the Poi prospect in PNG, continue trenching and sampling to define drill targets and if successful drill up to 3 target areas;
• at the Legusulum Exploration Licence Application (ELA) in PNG, acquire and interpret geophysical surveys to define a drill target and if successful drill the target;
• at the Palabong ELA and New Britain prospect in PNG, commence geochemical sampling;
• at the Mussau Island ELA in PNG, acquire and interpret geophysical survey;
• at the Amazon Bay prospect in PNG, improve understanding of ore body through drilling 3 reconnaissance lines to define the inland strandlines, investigating options to enhance the preferred flow sheet and to actively seek partners for development of the vanadium rich titanomagnetite concentrate into markets such as China;
• to potentially implement further investment opportunities in metals, minerals and resources;
• and for expenses of the issues and general working capital..

9m @ 1.50g/t Au including 3m @ 4.1 g/t Au
17.6m @ 0.21g/t Au including 3m @ 0.53 g/t Au

MIL Resources Limited (MIL) (ASX: MGK) is pleased to report further encouraging results from trenching at its Poi gold copper project in Papua New Guinea.
Continued mapping and sampling at Poi has defined a new anomaly, Morti, which returned the following results from trenching (Figure 1);
 Trench 1: 38m @ 0.61g/t Au including 12m @ 1.21 g/t Au
 Trench 2: 17.6m @ 0.21g/t Au including 3m @ 0.53 g/t Au
 Trench 6: 9m @ 1.50g/t Au including 3m @ 4.1 g/t Au
These trenches are along a North West/South East high grade trend with the total strike length from Trench 1 in the South East to Trench 2 in the North West of approximately 200m.

grad jüngst erfuhren wir, daß ein erstes bohrprogramm für 2 PNG- projekte
für ende 08.2011 kontraktiert wurde.........über immerhin 4000m !!!!

The second map shows MGK's ground on New Britain and it's proximity to a very large anomaly (which I've circled) on FNT's ground in the Uasilau Copper Belt which they've JV'd with Ok Tedi and also the proximity of MGK's ground in the Kulu-Awit Copper belt to COY's porphry discovery at Nakru where COY have reported intervals of 213m@.92%Cu .33g/t Au,210m@.45% Cu .46g/t Au and 140m@ .57% Cu

MIL Resources kicks off drilling targeting high grade gold in Papua New Guinea
Monday, September 19, 2011


MIL Resources (ASX: MGK) has commenced diamond core drilling targeting high grade gold at its key Golden Peak and Poi projects in Papua New Guinea.

This drilling forms part of the 4000 metre drilling program at the first gold/copper projects MIL has drilled in PNG and the company expects this round of drilling at both prospects to be completed during the first quarter calendar year 2012.

The Avo Creek area at Golden Peak includes the 20 metres at 7.21 grams per tonne (g/t) gold trench identified during the geochemical sampling program earlier in 2011.

On completion of the Golden Peak drilling, the rig will be relocated to Poi with drilling expected to commence during October. The Poi drill targets will be within the Aladdins, Morti and Wallaby Ridge prospects.

These three high priority targets have been identified by MIL’s ongoing geochemical sampling, the previous airborne magnetic survey and were reinforced by an independent expert review of the Poi project.

Drill hole GP002 results:
• 20m @ 8.5g/t gold + 10.9g/t silver including 1m @ 154.0g/t gold + 207 g/t silver
Drill hole GP004 results:
• 27m @ 1.0 g/t gold including 1m @ 11.0 g/t gold
• 15m @ 0.26 g/t gold
• 25m @ 0.12 g/t gold

die PR hat es in sich gehabt.........wie ein blick aufs chartbild zeigt.

im hoch sahen wir sogar aud 0,028 bei vol. von 76mios, bevor gewinnmitnahmen einsetzten und uns
SK von aud 0,019 bescherten !!!

Uns erwarten auch noch die Bohrergebnisse vom Poi-Projekt.
Es wird in den Gebieten Aladdins,Wallaby Ridge und Morti gebohrt.

Das Trench Sampling lieferte folgende Ergebnisse:

Trench sampling at the Aladdins prospect identified a mineralized zone of 20m @ 7.17 g/t Au, 0.50% Cu and 9.60 g/t Ag. This includes high grade zones of 2m @ 41.5 g/t Au and 2m @ 31.6 /t Ag.

Soil sampling at Wallaby Ridge identified a large anomaly which returned the following results; 500m @ 0.13 g/t Au, 0.01% Cu, 860m @ 0.06 g/t Au, 0.02% Cu including 665m @ 0.03% Cu.

Trenching sampling at Morti identified mineralised zones in a series of trenches with the following results; 38m @ 0.61g/t Au including 12m @ 1.21 g/t Au, 17.6m @ 0.21g/t Au including 3m @ 0.53 g/t Au and 9m @ 1.50g/t Au including 3m @ 4.1 g/t Au. These trenches are along a North West/South East high grade trend with the total strike length from the South East to the North West of approximately 200m.

ich glaube auch das wir mit Tony Williamson einen sehr guten Fang gemacht haben. Er scheint sich bestens in PNG auszukennen. Hier gibt es einen sehr informativen Artikel über ihn.
