PHILIPS, SATELINDO AND FANTASTIC SHOWCASE LIVE BROADCAST OF MULTIMEDIA CHANNELS TO PCS AT
COMMUNICASIA/BROADCASTASIA 2000
Philips Digital Networks, Satelindo and The Fantastic Corporation today announced that the three parties have
joined hands to showcase a live broadcast of multimedia channels to PCs over satellite at
CommunicAsia/BroadcastAsia 2000.

Singapore, June 06, 2000 - Broadband Channels such as Reuters News and Landmark Travel will be broadcast daily
via Satelindo`s satellite using Fantastic`s Broadband Multimedia Distribution software and Philip`s CleverCast data
broadcast equipment, directly to PCs on the stands of all three companies at the CommunicAsia/BroadcastAsia
show in Singapore.

Interactive channels including news and travel channels are created and compiled several times daily by content
providers and sent to Satelindo`s premises in Jakarta. Using Fantastic`s Broadband Multimedia Distribution system,
the content provider can choose to schedule the broadcast times and the users who will receive the channels.
These channels are then transmitted at 2Mbps from Jakarta using Satelindo`s Palapa-C2 Satellite, and routed via
the Philips CleverCast system to PCs on the three booths at the show. Visitors to the exhibition can interact with
these channels, and experience how content-rich and fast data can be a part of our daily lives.
