Consumer Demand Prompts MP3.com to Plan
For Launch of New Subscription Channel

      PR Newswire - June 15, 2000 06:45

Latest On-Demand Subscription Channel will Feature Kids` Content

SAN DIEGO, June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Positive consumer response to
MP3.com`s (Nasdaq: MPPP) Classical Music Channel (www.mp3.com/channels)
has prompted the company to schedule the launch of its second on-demand music
subscription channel. "The Children`s Channel" is expected to offer fairy tales,
nursery rhymes, and songs in multiple languages with no limit on the number of
times a selection can be accessed.

As part of what is believed to be the Internet`s first on-demand music subscription
system, "The Children`s Channel" (TCC) is scheduled to make its MP3.com
(www.mp3.com) debut in mid-July by initially offering over 50 albums of "no limit"
listening for a $9.99 monthly subscription fee. MP3.com expects to add content
from leading children`s music labels on an ongoing basis.

"As a father, I am really excited that The Children`s Channel will provide
top-quality music and stories that can be enjoyed by families anywhere and
anytime," remarked Michael Robertson, the company`s chairman and chief
executive officer. "And as a parent, I certainly appreciate the fact that you can give
your kids unlimited access to a whole catalogue of music, for less than the price of
      one CD."

MP3.com`s TCC will be the second of many anticipated on-demand subscription
channels for the company. Other channels slated for release cover genres that
include alternative rock, jazz, urban, world and others. Heading the company`s
Subscription Division is Chris Montgomery, vice president of channel development
      at MP3.com.

"As with its Classical Music counterpart, The Children`s Channel will offer flexible
content management and administrative tools for MP3.com content providers," said
Montgomery. "Providers can access daily auditing and usage statistics such as
subscriber reports, artist`s page views, and precise content tracking for accurate
royalty reconciliation. Our subscription channels are a marvelous mechanism for
potentially transforming back catalogs into highly profitable, recurring revenue
      streams."

      Zitat freddy

Naja, aber du wirst schon wissen, was du sagst........
