Magna Pacific (Holdings) Limited (MPH) Directors would like to
announce that Magna Pacific Pty Ltd (MPPL) has strengthened their
relationship with Becker Group Limited (BKR) by entering into
negotiations to allow BKR to increase their holding in MPPL to 50%
for a further cash injection of $4 million from BKR
for a further 4
million $1 shares. The current ownership of MPPL and its wholly owned
subsidiary Rocvale Entertainment Pty Ltd is 70% MPH and 30% BKR.

This new deal will allow BKR to take a further 20% of MPPL
underpinning the relationship between the two companies. Ownership of
MPPL will then become 50% MPH and 50% BKR. MPH is already a
substantial shareholder of BKR with a 5.53% share holding.

These funds will primarily be used to finance the acquisition of
mainstream fea
ture films through the recent Becker Magna Film joint
venture, which satisfy the stringent selection procedures and
risk/return measures now in place.

Becker Magna Film`s recent purchase of six international mainstream
films coupled with Becker`s greatly anticipated Australian film
"Rabbit Proof Fence" provides the Group with an exciting and
promising release slate for the 2002 year.

Titles include WWII romantic thriller Enigma starring Kate Winslett
(Titanic) and Dougray S
cott (Mission Impossible 2) and Crush - a
romantic comedy starring Andie Macdowell (Four Weddings and a
Funeral, Michael), Imelda Staunton (Shakespears in Love, Chicken
Run), and Anna Chancellor (Fairytale, Four Weddings and A Funeral).

Commenting on the joint venture, Managing Director Allan Radley, said
"This joint venture is in keeping with the Directors focus on
transforming MPH from a video distributor to an all rights
distributor including cinema, TV and DVD products w
hich will increase
revenue and enhance shareholder value."

MPH has available cash on deposit with its bankers exceeding $6
million placing it in a strong position to take advantage of further
synergistic relationships.

Was das bringt verstehe ich aber nicht. Becker soll für weitere Anteile 4 Mio. A$ einbezahlen. Dadurch sinkt aber der Magna-Anteil von 70% auf 50%. Andererseits ist Becker dadurch motivierter, mehr in das Jointventure einzubringen.

Heute über Consors ein Rückkaufangebot der Gesellschaft erhalten. Frist 30.9.01 zum Marktpreis. Was kannn das für den Kurs bedeuten?

Das wird keinen Einfluß haben.
Habe ich vor ein paar Tagen auch bekommen. Die Bank hat das Aktienrückkaufprogramm mit einer Abfindung verwechselt. Scheinen einige Banken ähnlich geschickt zu sein.
