Vorquartal +140%). Der Verlust ging von 2,4 Mio US$ auf 1,7 Mio US$ zurück. Kursziel lt. Maydorn US$ 100.

Daleen and Vitria Form Strategic Alliance for eBusiness Solutions
BOCA RATON, Fla. and SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 5, 2000--Daleen Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: DALN - news) and Vitria Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: VITR - news), today announced that they have entered into an agreement for Daleen to integrate Vitria`s BusinessWare with Daleen`s E-Care product offering.

Vitria software will be bundled with Daleen`s E-Care. In support of the relationship, Daleen is planning to build connectors to Vitria`s BusinessWare® that will enable integration between Daleen`s E-Care products and other third party software applications.

This new agreement will allow Vitria and Daleen to provide highly effective solutions for the most complex customer management models by combining Vitria`s BusinessWare eBusiness platform with Daleen`s E-Care Internet self-care software.

The integration of Vitria`s BusinessWare software with E-Care enables carriers to select best-in-class applications that share a common business infrastructure. The benefits of this solution are a reduction in integration cost, faster time to market, and true plug-and-play for communications and information services providers offering voice and data services, Internet access, and web and applications hosting.

``We are very excited about our alliance with Daleen. The market has a real need for integrated Internet enabled customer management solutions and we see Daleen as a leader in the industry,`` said JoMei Chang, Vitria CEO and president. ``The agreement with Daleen will enable our customers to increase efficiencies and lower operating costs when deploying eBusiness solutions that include Daleen`s real-time E-Care customer management products.``

Daleen`s E-Care empowers the customer through self-service and integrates marketing, sales, ordering, billing and service into one personalized Internet portal. It enables a Telecom Service Provider to make the transition from traditional internal automation through Business Support Systems (BSS) and Operations Support Systems (OSS) to a new customer-centric environment where customers directly involve themselves in service fulfillment and delivery processes.

``Vitria`s BusinessWare is an ideal solution for our E-Care customers who require rapid integration with other best-in-class eBusiness products. The strength of Vitria`s product in the eBusiness space coupled with Daleen`s E-Care solutions will allow our customers to capitalize on future market driven opportunities as the eBusiness frontier evolves,`` said Jim Daleen, chairman and CEO of Daleen Technologies. ``Vitria`s approach complements Daleen`s philosophy of developing open systems using Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and frees service providers to select the right mix of vendors to support their businesses. This alliance gives both companies a significantly enhanced ability to provide seamless solutions for effectively competing in the market while controlling system ownership and operating costs.``
