      Warum interessant?

Geoinformatics drills 107 m of 0.12% Mo at La Noria

      2008-01-30 15:40 ET - News Release

      Dr. Nick Archibald reports

GEOINFORMATICS MAKES MOLYBDENUM-COPPER-SILVER-GOLD DISCOVERY IN MEXICO

Geoinformatics Exploration Inc. has received assay results from the first three drill holes at the Los Laureles prospect on its La Noria project in Sinaloa, Mexico. The results confirm the discovery of a new polymetallic system, near the company's previously announced Azulitas discovery.

      Highlights

      * Hole 3 intersected 107 metres, grading 0.12 per cent molybdenum (0.20 per cent MoS2), 0.14 per cent copper, 0.08 gram per tonne (g/t) gold and 11.91 g/t silver; and included a higher-grade, copper-gold-silver intercept of eight metres, grading 0.84 per cent copper, 0.27 g/t gold and 56.5 g/t silver; the hole ended in mineralization.
      * Holes 1 and 2 also intersected high-grade mineralized breccias. Hole 1 intersected 12 metres grading 0.18 per cent molybdenum (0.30 per cent MoS2), 0.36 per cent copper, 0.31 g/t gold and 10.8 g/t silver; hole 2 intersected eight metres grading 0.23 per cent molybdenum (0.38 per cent MoS2), 0.31 per cent copper, 0.10 g/t gold and 9.7 g/t silver.
      * The three drill holes were widely spaced and indicate a mineralized strike length of at least 400 metres, a vertical extent of at least 200 metres and drilled widths of between 10 metres and 107 metres.
      * Two additional holes drilled in the same area have assay results pending, but the drill core shows wide breccia intercepts and visible mineralization.

      Los Laureles prospect

Los Laureles is located entirely within the company's La Noria project and is approximately 10 kilometres east of the company's Azulitas discovery, with its previously announced mineralized drill intercepts. The target was identified initially through processing of reconnaissance geochemistry and geophysical data. Mapping and surface sampling revealed extensive soil geochemistry anomalies associated with magnetite-quartz and tourmaline breccias bodies. The soil anomalies are over one kilometre long by 600 metres wide with copper greater than 1,000 parts per million, molybdenum greater than 100 parts per million and silver greater than three parts per million.

The discovery holes at Los Laureles are part of a five-hole reconnaissance program. Holes 1 and 2 (DDLL_07_01 and 02) were drilled from the valley floor and angled underneath a portion of the copper soil anomaly, and intersected relatively narrow tourmaline breccias with eight to 12 metres of mineralization. Hole 3 was drilled from the top of a ridge and intersected 107 metres of mineralized breccia. All holes contain visible chalcopyrite (CuFeS2) and molybdenite (MoS2). Hole 3 was stopped before its planned depth due to drilling problems, but ended in anomalous mineralization.

The full geometry of the mineralization has not yet been established, but the drilling has identified a strike length of at least 400 metres and drilled widths ranging from eight to 12 metres at depth, which increases to over 100 metres closer to the surface.

Holes 4 and 5 are currently being logged before being submitted for laboratory assays. Each hole shows wide intercepts (greater than 100 metres) of breccia with chalcopyrite and molybdenite observed in both holes.

All assays are based on half-sawn drill core and are shipped to ALS Chemex in Hermosillo, Mexico, for preparation and then to ALS Chemex Laboratory in Vancouver, B.C., Canada, for fire assay for gold and four-acid digest ICP-AES.

This program is reconnaissance drilling and the orientation of mineralized structures is yet to be established; hence, true width cannot be estimated at this time.

      La Noria project

The La Noria project is located approximately 60 kilometres northeast of Mazatlan in the state of Sinaloa, Mexico. Geoinformatics has been exploring this property since May, 2006. The project constitutes an area of mineral claims and option agreements approximately 20 kilometres by eight kilometres. Geoinformatics has previously announced positive drill results from several prospects on the project area, including:

      * Azulitas prospect -- drilling confirmed mineralization over a strike length of 300 metres to a depth of at least 220 metres, with previously reported intersections including 63 metres of 0.76 per cent copper, 0.10 g/t gold and 11.48 g/t silver.
      * La Verde prospect -- drilling confirmed 76 metres, grading 0.32 per cent copper, 0.04 g/t gold and 7.22 g/t silver.
      * Amarillito prospect -- drilling confirmed 56 metres of 0.27 per cent copper, 0.03 g/t gold and 9.65 g/t silver.

The company's current objective on this property is to locate several additional economic, near-surface ore systems that could be integrated into a single mining operation. The La Noria project is located in low-rolling hills, intersected by numerous roads and tracks, and serviced with existing electricity, with a new hydroelectric dam being constructed approximately 14 kilometres from the project. The project is accessible for most of the exploration year. The project is only 60 kilometres from the port facilities of Mazatlan and 35 kilometres from a main rail.

The La Noria project is subject to the Kennecott-Geoinformatics alliance agreement.

Geoinformatics infers 5.63 million t Azulitas resource

      2008-02-13 16:06 ET - News Release

      Dr. Nick Archibald reports

43-101 RESOURCE ESTIMATE RELEASED ON GEOINFORMATICS' AZULITAS PROSPECT

Geoinformatics Exploration Inc. has provided an initial independent National Instrument 43-101-compliant mineral resource estimate for the Azulitas prospect on its La Noria project in Sinaloa, Mexico. The estimate establishes an inferred resource consisting of 5.63 million tonnes grading 0.54 per cent copper, 12.2 grams per tonne silver, 0.08 g/t gold and 0.04 per cent molybdenum (0.06 per cent MoS2), which contains 67.4 million pounds of copper, 2.2 million ounces of silver, 4.34 million pounds of molybdenum and 15,200 ounces of gold. On a copper-equivalent basis, total contained metal equals 111.3 million pounds of copper, using the metal pricing assumptions set forth.

      Highlights

The NI 43-101 mineral resource statement for Azulitas indicates:

      * The inferred resource contains 5.63 million tonnes of mineralization grading 0.54 per cent copper, 12.2 grams per tonne silver, 0.08 g/t gold and 0.04 per cent molybdenum (0.06 per cent MoS2), all determined using a copper-equivalent cut-off grade of 0.3 per cent.
      * The average overall grade of the inferred resource is 0.9 per cent on a copper-equivalent basis.
      * A higher-grade molybdenum core contains 1.89 million tonnes grading 0.09 per cent molybdenum (0.15 per cent MoS2).
      * Azulitas is the first of a cluster of polymetallic breccia pipes and fracture zones on the La Noria project to be evaluated under National Instrument 43-101 guidelines. Geoinformatics has identified several other pipes on the property that have shown potential for economic widths and grades from historical drilling.

"The SRK resource estimate at the Azulitas prospect has provided Geoinformatics with a good start to developing a solid resource base at La Noria," commented Kevin L. Snook, chairman of Geoinformatics. "Azulitas itself remains open at depth, and we have identified numerous additional high-quality exploration targets on the property, such as the nearby Los Laureles prospect, where recent drilling returned a core length interval of 107 metres grading 0.12 per cent molybdenum (0.2 per cent MoS2), 0.14 per cent copper, 0.08 g/t gold and 11.91 g/t silver in a drill hole which ended in mineralization (refer to the 'About the La Noria Project'). We intend to continue to explore aggressively on this property to identify additional polymetallic, high-value, near-surface mineralization with the intention of developing an integrated mining project."

      SRK qualifications and methodology

SRK is a worldwide independent engineering, environmental and geological consulting company with over 700 engineers and scientists and a reputation for excellence in the comprehensive estimation of mineral resources.

In October, 2007, Geoinformatics engaged SRK to audit the prior work carried out on the La Noria project and to prepare an initial independent resource estimate for Azulitas in compliance with NI 43-101 guidelines. The NI 43-101 report will be filed on SEDAR within 45 days.

The resource estimate is based on a three-dimensional (3-D) geologic and mineralization model that integrated 1,058 metres of drilling and 612 individual composite results within 10 holes that intersected the mineralized zone and included a block model. The drilling has been audited and validated by SRK in accordance with CIM Estimation of Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves Best Practice guidelines and with NI 43-101 guidelines. Metal grades were estimated into the block model using capped drill-hole composites and an inverse-distance-squared methodology. A density factor of 2.81 tonnes per cubic metre was used to convert volumes into tonnage, based on 24 drill-core specific gravity determinations performed by ALS Chemex Laboratory in Vancouver, Canada. The resource estimate included all blocks from surface to a depth of approximately 220 metres below surface.

Copper equivalent was adjusted by SRK for assumed metallurgical recoveries based on its experience with similar projects around the world. Factors such as refinery costs and concentrate shipping charges were not included in the calculation.

      About the La Noria project

The La Noria project is located approximately 60 kilometres northeast of the port of Mazatlan in the state of Sinaloa, Mexico. Geoinformatics has been exploring the property, which comprises mineral claims and option agreements covering approximately 20 km by eight km since May, 2006. Geoinformatics previously announced mineralized drill results from several other prospects at La Noria including:

      * Los Laureles prospect -- 107 metres grading 0.12 per cent molybdenum (0.2 per cent MoS2), 0.14 per cent copper, 0.08 g/t gold and 11.9 g/t silver (1);
      * La Verde prospect -- 76 metres grading 0.32 per cent copper, 0.04 g/t gold and 7.22 g/t silver (2);
      * Amarillito prospect -- 56 metres grading 0.27 per cent copper, 0.03 g/t gold and 9.65 g/t silver (2);
      * Mozulitas prospect -- 47 metres grading 0.12 per cent molybdenum (0.2 per cent MoS2) (3).

Refer to the following previous press releases in Stockwatch dated (1) Jan. 30, 2008, (2) May 8, 2007, and (3) Feb. 28, 2007, for details on intercept calculations, assay method/laboratory, and comment on true width versus drilled width.

Geoinformatics recently completed a five-hole program at Los Laureles and announced results from the first three holes (see Geoinformatics's press release in Stockwatch dated Jan. 30, 2008) with laboratory assay results pending on holes 4 and 5. The rig has now moved to the Amarillito prospect to complete a one-hole program to test continuation of the prior intercept of 56 metres of 0.27 per cent copper.

      Kennecott -- Geoinformatics alliance agreement

All La Noria prospects and properties fall under the Kennecott-Geoinformatics master partnership agreement between Geoinformatics and Kennecott Exploration Company, a subsidiary of Rio Tinto PLC. The company entered into the alliance agreement effective March, 2006, under which it is using its proprietary geoscience and technology platform to identify, prioritize and drill more than 30 exploration drill targets over the initial two years of the agreement. The La Noria project was acquired by Geoinformatics as a target of merit under the alliance agreement in August, 2006, and Kennecott retains a back-in right to acquire either a 51-per-cent or 60-per-cent interest in the project. Geoinformatics Reports Extensive Zinc-Silver-Gold Mineralization at Los Chinos, Mexico from Joint Venture Drilling
Thursday March 27, 3:18 pm ET

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 27, 2008) - Geoinformatics Exploration Inc. (TSX VENTURE:GXL - News; "Geoinformatics" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that its joint venture partner, Azure Minerals Ltd. ("Azure") (ASX:AZS - News) recently reported widespread zinc, silver and gold mineralization from drilling on the Los Chinos Project in the State of Sonora, Mexico. Los Chinos is one of 13 projects in a joint venture between Azure (51%) and Geoinformatics (49%).

      Highlights

Assay results have been received for nine drill holes of an initial 12-hole program on the property, all of which intersected anomalous to high-grade base and precious metal mineralization.

      - LCH-DD-008 - 4 metres grading 7.1% zinc within a broader zone of 13 metres @ 2.7% zinc.

      - LCH-DD-007 - 5 metres grading 5.6% zinc & 2 metres grading 155 gram/tonne (g/t) silver within a broader zone of 20 metres @ 1.9% zinc.

      - LCH-DD-010 - 22 metres grading 1.40% zinc from near surface within a broader zone of 41 metres grading 1.0% zinc.

      - LCH-DD-009 - 14 metres grading 1.53% zinc within a broader zone of 62.5 metres grading 0.6% zinc

      - LCH-DD-005 - 4 metres grading 2.2% zinc, 236 g/t silver, 1.0% copper & 0.7 g/t gold.

      - LCH-DD-001 - 3 metres grading 1.5% lead, 355 g/t silver & 2.4 g/t gold.

The Los Chinos Project and Drill Program

The Los Chinos Project ("Los Chinos") is located approximately 80 kilometres north-northeast of the city of Hermosillo in the State of Sonora, Mexico (Figure 2). Geoinformatics staked Los Chinos in 2007 based on its regional technology-based targeting techniques. Los Chinos has potential for both copper-gold-molybdenum porphyry-type deposits and peripheral replacement-style base metal mineralization. Geoinformatics offered the property to the joint venture under the terms of the regional joint venture agreement.

In the first drilling on the property, totaling 1,561 metres, Azure targeted a series of outcropping carbonate replacement and breccia zones in the northwestern part of the property with oxidized profiles. These zones are interpreted to represent the near-surface weathered expression of polymetallic sulphide bodies, where the mineralization has selectively replaced susceptible horizons within the volcano-sedimentary sequence. As a result of oxidation and remobilization of base metals during the weathering process, the deeper intercepts contain higher grades of zinc and lead because of the presence of primary sulphides (sphalerite and galena).

The successful program had all nine holes (assayed to-date) intersect anomalous to high-grade base metals (zinc, lead and copper) and precious metal mineralization over significant widths from near-surface to drilled depths of over 130 metres. Both silver and gold occurs within the base metal mineralization, occasionally in very high grades.

To view Figure 1. Los Chinos drill hole locations, interpretive geology, and soil sampling contours please visit the following link: http://media3.marketwire.com/docs/gxlfig1.pdf.

Numerous mineralized horizons on the property point to an extensive system with the potential to host significant deposits of high-grade primary sulphide mineralization. The joint venture partners intend to interpret these drill results, and analyze and model a recently completed geophysical survey before launching a second-phase drill program.

Appendix 1 includes all significant drill hole intercepts received to-date.

      Geoinformatics in Mexico

Los Chinos is one of 13 projects held under a joint venture between Geoinformatics and Azure (operator). Azure recently completed an initial exploration expenditure of US$4 million on all joint-venture properties to earn 51% with Geoinformatics retaining the remaining 49%. All of the Azure Joint Venture properties are located within the highly prospective Sierra Madre Occidental of Sonora, Mexico that hosts world-class deposits such as Penasaquito (zinc-copper-gold-silver); and Cananea (copper-gold).

In addition to the Azure Joint Venture, Geoinformatics holds 100%-owned mineral exploration licenses on a further nine properties in Sonora.

Geoinformatics also owns a 100% interest in the La Noria Project in the State of Sinaloa. Mexico. The Company recently announced a National Instrument (NI) 43-101-compliant resource at the Azulitas Prospect ("Azulitas") and a new molybdenum-copper-silver discovery at the Los Laureles Prospect near Azulitas.

To view Figure 2. Geoinformatics interests in Sonora, Mexico please visit the following link: http://media3.marketwire.com/docs/rgxlfig2.pdf.

      Qualified Persons

The technical content of this release has been compiled by Mr. Darren Holden, Executive Vice President of Geoinformatics, and is based on information supplied by Azure's Exploration Manager - Mr. Pat Manouge. Mr. Holden and Mr. Manouge are both Members of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (MAusIMM) and are qualified persons as defined by NI 43-101 guidelines.

      Kennecott - Geoinformatics Alliance Agreement

Los Chinos and Geoinformatics' other Mexican interests fall under the Master Strategic Alliance Agreement (the "Alliance Agreement") between Geoinformatics and Kennecott Exploration Company. The Company entered into the Alliance Agreement effective March 2006 under which it has been using its proprietary geo-science and technology platform (the "Geoinformatics Process") to successfully identify, prioritize and drill more than 30 exploration drill targets over the initial two years of the Agreement. Kennecott retains a back-in right to acquire either a 51% or 60% interest in projects under the Alliance Agreement. Please refer to Geoinformatics' press-release dated August 14, 2006, for further information.

      About Geoinformatics

Geoinformatics is a global exploration company which has developed a unique approach to minerals exploration applying innovative and proprietary technology.

The Company recently announced an independent NI 43-101-compliant mineral resource estimate with an Indicated Resource of 840,000 ounces of gold and an Inferred Resource of 2.7 million ounces on the initial discovery zone at the Whistler Project in southern Alaska. The Indicated category contains 30 million tonnes grading 0.87 g/t gold, 2.46 g/t silver and 0.24% copper and the Inferred category contains 155 million tonnes grading 0.62 g/t gold, 2.15 g/t silver and 0.19% copper. Significant copper and silver mineralization increases the Indicated gold-equivalent mineral resource to 1.3 million ounces and the Inferred mineral resource to 4.4 million ounces.

Geoinformatics is also actively exploring several advanced projects located in Utah, the Cortez Trend region of Nevada, Sinaloa, Mexico and British Columbia. Geoinformatics also has an extensive portfolio of other direct and indirect property interests, joint ventures, and royalties covering a wide range of minerals in Mexico, Australia and New Zealand and North America.

Geoinformatics Strengthens Ownership Position in La Noria Project

      11:34 EDT Wednesday, July 09, 2008

      Kennecott Exploration Releases Back-in Right

/NOT FOR DISTRIBUTION TO UNITED STATES NEWSWIRE SERVICES OR DISSEMINATION

      IN THE UNITED STATES/

TORONTO, July 9 /CNW/ - Geoinformatics Exploration Inc. (TSX-V: GXL) ("Geoinformatics" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has strengthened its ownership position in the La Noria Project ("La Noria") in Sinaloa,Mexico . Kennecott Exploration Company ("Kennecott", a subsidiary of Rio Tinto plc) has relinquished its back-in right on La Noria and will retain a 2% net smelter returns royalty ("NSR") as its only interest in the property.

La Noria hosts a National Instrument 43-101 ("NI 43-101") compliant Inferred mineral resource of 5.6 million tonnes grading 0.54% copper, 12.2 grams per tonne (g/t) silver, 0.08 g/t gold and 0.04% molybdenum (0.06% MoS(2)) combining to a copper-equivalent grade of 0.90%. Geoinformatics has also drilled several potentially economic occurrences of copper, molybdenum, silver, and gold on the 202 sq. km. La Noria property as well as identified two high-potential targets through rock chip sampling.

Dr. Nick Archibald, Geoinformatics' Chief Executive Officer, commented, "We have achieved considerable exploration success on the La Noria property in a relatively short time period. The property continues to be a strong candidate to define sufficient resources in multiple polymetallic ore-bodies to support a profitable small-to-medium scale concentrate-based mining operation. We are pleased that our strategic partner, Kennecott, has agreed to release the back-in right on La Noria to allow us to advance this property more aggressively".

The release of the Kennecott back-in right at La Noria gives Geoinformatics a 100% unencumbered interest in a large project subject only to an NSR. Geoinformatics will be evaluating a range of strategic alternatives to advance further exploration and development of this valuable property.

      La Noria Project

La Noria lies in low-rolling hills that are transected by numerous roads and tracks accessible for most of the year and is well-serviced with electric power. It is situated approximately 60 km. northeast of the port of Mazatlan and 35 km. from a main rail-line. The La Noria Azulitas resource and other prospects are all located within 10 km. of each other and are typically exposed at surface. Geoinformatics recently increased its landholding at La Noria by staking adjacent claims.

The defined NI 43-101 resource and drill and exploration success to-date at La Noria include:

      <<
      - The Azulitas Prospect has an NI 43-101-compliant Inferred mineral
resource of 5.63 million tonnes grading 0.90% copper-equivalent based
on 75% recoveries of gold and silver and 85% recoveries of copper and
molybdenum and mineral prices of US$550 per oz. gold, US$8 per oz.
silver, US$1.50 per lb. copper and US$10 per lb. molybdenum (oxide).

      - The Los Laureles Prospect has numerous mineralized drill
intersections including 107 metres grading 0.12% molybdenum
      (0.20% MoS(2)), 0.14% copper, 0.08 g/t gold and 11.9 g/t silver
within a breccia zone with mapped extents over 750 metres by up to
      180 metres in width.

      - The Mozulitas Prospect's two drill holes to-date include 57 metres
      grading 0.10% molybdenum (0.17% MoS(2)) and a higher-grade interval
      of 12 metres grading 0.32% molybdenum (0.53% MoS(2)).

      - The initial drilling on the Amarillito Prospect produced an
intersection of 65 metres grading 0.31% copper and 11.60 g/t silver.

      - High-grade rock-chip samples and soil anomalies have been recorded
extensively at early-stage prospects, "El Tiro" and "El Zapote East".
      >>

Geoinformatics' ongoing objective at La Noria is to identify sufficient resources as quickly as possible from several of these prospects that may have the potential to support an integrated mining operation.

      Kennecott - Geoinformatics Strategic Alliance

Prior to the release of the back-in right, La Noria fell under the Master Strategic Alliance Agreement between Geoinformatics and Kennecott ("Alliance Agreement"). The Company entered into the Alliance Agreement effectiveMarch 2006 under which it has been using its proprietary geo-science and technology platform (the "Geoinformatics Process") to successfully identify, prioritize and drill more than 30 exploration drill targets over the initial two years of the Agreement. The La Noria assets were acquired by Geoinformatics as a target-of-merit under the Alliance Agreement. Please refer to Geoinformatics' press-release datedAugust 14, 2006, for further information.

Under the terms of the Alliance Agreement, Geoinformatics may be required to deliver an "order-of-magnitude" study on a target or project in order to obtain a decision by Kennecott on the exercise of its back-in right. In the case of La Noria, Kennecott based its decision to release the back-in right without delivery of such a study based on its review of drill and other exploration results

Geoinformatics starts 2008 exploration at Whistler

      2008-07-08 14:21 ET - News Release

      Mr. Kevin Snook reports

GEOINFORMATICS COMPLETES FIRST DRILL HOLE AT WHISTLER IN 2008 PROGRAM

Geoinformatics Exploration Inc. has begun its 2008 exploration program on the Whistler project in southern Alaska, and has completed the first drill hole of the campaign.

      Focus on near-Whistler-zone targets

The initial phase of the 2008 Whistler project drill program is focusing on targets in near proximity to the Whistler zone, which hosts an initial independent National Instrument 43-101-compliant mineral resource announced in January, 2008. The resource estimate established an indicated mineral resource of 840,000 ounces of gold and an additional inferred mineral resource of 2.74 million ounces of gold. Significant copper and silver mineralization increases the NI 43-101 gold equivalent resource to 1.31 million ounces in the indicated category and 4.44 million ounces in the inferred category.

      First target: Rainmaker

The first hole completed on the Whistler project in 2008 is on the Rainmaker target, which is located in a valley approximately two kilometres east-southeast of the Whistler zone. The inclined hole (RM-08-01) was drilled from northeast to southwest, and is intended to correlate with a prior hole drilled vertically by Kennecott Exploration Co. in 2005, which recorded 184 metres of mineralization from 5.7 metres downhole grading 0.44 gram per tonne gold and 0.16 per cent copper.

Satisfaction of Whistler project acquisition terms

The 2008 Whistler exploration program has been approved by Kennecott and, when completed, will satisfy the requirements for Geoinformatics to earn a 100-per-cent interest in the Whistler project, pursuant to the terms of the June, 2008, Whistler project offer letter from Kennecott.

      2008 exploration program

During the 2008 season, Geoinformatics intends to drill test as many regional targets as possible, and has contracted one drill rig for the summer field season. In addition, Geoinformatics will test the northern extensions of the Whistler zone and follow up on the high-grade breccia intersected in 2007 in hole WH-07-02. As announced in Stockwatch on June 11, 2008, Geoinformatics is seeking additional financing which would allow it to contract a second drill rig, and possibly acquire a small portable shallow drill rig. The targets expected to be drilled in 2008 were largely identified or refined in regional exploration targeting conducted in early 2008 and announced in a news release in February, 2008.

      The Whistler project

The Whistler project is located approximately 160 km northwest of Anchorage, Alaska, and is one of the largest contiguous mineral claim blocks held by a single company in Alaska, outside of existing mines and mine development projects.

The indicated resource consists of 30 million tonnes grading 0.87 g/t gold, 2.46 g/t silver and 0.24 per cent copper, and the inferred resource consists of 134 million tonnes grading 0.64 g/t gold, 2.18 g/t silver and 0.20 per cent copper. In addition, there is considerable mineralization in the Whistler zone that has been identified by drilling and reported in the 43-101 resource technical report filed on SEDAR, but has not yet been categorized as a mineral resource.

The Whistler zone is just one of a cluster of targets and prospects within the 440-square-kilometre block of 732 state of Alaska mining claims that make up the Whistler project. Most of these targets are covered by shallow alluvial sediments and do not have the significant outcrop of the Whistler zone, but do have comparable geophysical, geological or geochemical signatures.

      Kennecott-Geoinformatics alliance agreement

The Whistler project was conveyed to Geoinformatics under the target-of-merit provisions of the Kennecott-Geoinformatics master alliance agreement in June, 2007, and all Whistler targets and prospects mentioned in this news release fall under it. The company entered into the alliance agreement effective March, 2006, under which it has been using its proprietary geo-science and technology platform (the Geoinformatics process) to identify, prioritize and drill more than 30 exploration drill targets over the initial two years of the agreement. Kennecott retains a back-in right to acquire either a 51-per-cent or 60-per-cent interest in the Whistler project and all other projects, subject to the alliance agreement, which is exercisable under certain circumstances. Please refer to Geoinformatics's news release in Stockwatch on Aug. 14, 2006, for further information.

      Qualified person

The technical contents of this release have been compiled by Darren Holden, MAusIMM, executive, vice-president of operations of Geoinformatics, and is based in part on historic information obtained from Kennecott. Mr. Holden is a qualified person, as defined under NI 43-101 guidelines.
