Tut Systems- Die Aktie des Jahres,
Geschwindigkeit mal 30 = Aktienkurs mal 30 ?

Hallo Tuts´ler

Neues ATH, same procedure as every day!

Tut Systems Expands Connected Program for Silicon, Equipment And Application Companies
Enhanced Program Includes Integrated Chipset, Technology, Equipment and
Application Companies to Increase the Availability of Tut Compatible Products
For Multi-Tenant Buildings
Program Members Include Broadcom, Broadmedia, Electricstreets.com,
Silicom Connectivity Solutions and Teledex
PLEASANTON, Calif., Sept. 6 /PRNewswire/ --
Tut Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: TUTS), a leading provider of multi-service
broadband systems for multi-tenant residential and commercial buildings today
announced it has expanded its Connected Program to include silicon,
technology, equipment and application companies that will provide chips and
build compatible equipment and applications for Tut`s systems and networking
technology. These companies represent the newest links in Tut`s growing supply
chain of connectivity solutions for multi-tenant buildings (MTUs) that give
equipment providers access to integrated chipsets and service providers access
to a wider array of interoperable, cost-effective, customer premise equipment
(CPE) for their networks.
(Photo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/19990322/TUTSLOGO )
Program participants include silicon vendors such as Broadcom and
Broadmedia, customer premise equipment (CPE) providers such as Silicom
Connectivity Solutions, Broadmedia, and Teledex, and application providers
such as Electricstreets.com. They join such existing program members as Darwin
Networks, ReFlex Communications, and BRE VelocityHSI -- all service providers.
By teaming with these companies, Tut significantly increases the breadth and
depth of its offerings enabling faster, more cost-effective deployment and
enhanced services to multi-tenant commercial and residential buildings.
Tut`s silicon supplier, Broadmedia, will integrate Tut`s Long Run(TM)
technology into its own chipsets. This integration gives the industry access
to Tut`s industry-leading technology for the development of compatible devices
-- enabling the proliferation of low cost CPE devices, interoperable with
Tut`s Expresso product line. Tut`s silicon supplier, Broadcom, will utilize
their own silicon technology to support Tut`s next generation IntelliPOP(TM)
MTU system and future IntelliPOP CPE vendors. The IntelliPOP MTU is the
industry`s first and only multi-megabit intelligent "Building" VDSL solution
designed to allow service providers to quickly and cost effectively transport
copper-based multi-service broadband services to multi-tenant environments.
"Tut`s improved Connected program is crucial to our continued success and
leadership in the MTU market," said Mark A. Carpenter, Vice President of
Marketing for Tut Systems. "Tut`s equipment, combined with this new array of
program members, broadens the end-to-end solutions available to meet customer
connectivity requirements in MTUs, reduces deployment times, and increases
take rates and revenues."
Through the Connected Program, Tut program members can achieve usage
rights on the "Tut Connected" certification logo. For example, the logo would
be granted to a CPE vendor after successful completion of rigorous system
compatibility and quality testing in Tut labs. The certification logo
signifies that a program member`s products offer the highest quality and full
interoperability with Tut products such as the IntelliPOP MTU broadband access
system optimized for commercial MTUs, and Tut proprietary technologies such as
LongRun, which deploys data connectivity over existing telephone wiring in
virtually every building configuration.
"Tut`s Expresso family of products, including its Expresso SMS/OCS
subscriber management system, provides one of the most robust and complete
end-to-end multi-tenant solutions in the industry," said Glenn Meyer,
President of the MDU division for Darwin Networks, a leading national service
provider focused on the multi-tenant market. "With Tut`s expanded Connected
program, Tut enhances its product offering and eliminates the need for us to
locate companies and conduct interoperability testing -- enabling us to speed
up our deployment times and our ability to generate revenue from our
deployments."
Connected Program Members
The following companies are members of Tut`s Connected Program. CPE
providers Silicom, Broadmedia and Teledex have passed Tut`s CPE certification
requirements and have been granted the rights to use the Tut Connected logo on
their products.
Broadcom Corporation
Broadcom, the leading provider of highly integrated silicon solutions for
broadband digital transmission of voice, video and data, will supply Tut`s
IntelliPOP MTU product line and future IntelliPOP CPE vendors with its BCM6020
VDSL transceiver chip to enable service providers to offer multiple broadband
communications and services to the large and growing multi-tenant market -- a
market which is estimated to be worth $11 billion in equipment worldwide.
(Figure based on Yankee Group, NMHC, and Tut internal estimates.)
"Since Tut and Broadcom are the respective leaders in the broadband MTU
equipment market and the broadband silicon market, the fit is obvious," said
Aidan O`Rourke, Marketing Director of DSL Products for Broadcom Corporation.
"We anticipate that the integration of Broadcom`s BCM6020 chip with Tut`s
IntelliPOP MTU will offer service providers a low-cost, robust, multi-service
platform for broadband solutions."
Broadmedia, Inc.
Broadmedia, Inc. is a producer of voice-over-IP (VoIP) telephones,
gateways and software, as well as Internet access products that address "Last
300 Meter" network connectivity between ISP`s and users. As a certified member
of the Tut Connected program, Broadmedia has developed a chipset, network
interface cards (NICs) and adapters for Tut`s LongRun technology. Broadmedia
will supply Expresso, MDU LongRun products and LongRun CPE Connected companies
with a chipset licensed by Tut Systems. The LongRun NICs and adapters will
allow service providers the flexibility to integrate LongRun technology
directly into the PC`s and other access devices of building tenants.
"Broadmedia`s chip integrated with Tut`s technology is a great offering
for the industry," said Ting Herh, CEO of Broadmedia. "By integrating
Broadmedia`s world-class semiconductor technology for LAN and WAN
communications with Tut`s industry-leading multi-tenant systems, service
providers can offer a seamless, end-to-end solution to their tenants."
Silicom Connectivity Solutions, Ltd.
Silicom Connectivity Solutions, an industry-leading provider of
communications connectivity solutions and advanced enabling technologies, has
developed CPE adapters to simplify the connection of tenants` PCs to Tut`s
broadband-enabled telephone lines. The first new products developed are
USB-based, high performance adapters tailored for Tut`s LongRun data
transmission solutions.
Silicom is pleased to be working with the leading broadband systems
provider in the multi-tenant market," said Ran Rachlin, President of Silicom
Connectivity Solutions, Inc. "The addition of our USB port to Tut`s LongRun
product line is expected to reduce the overall cost structure of Tut`s
solutions and will simplify their installation -- both big benefits to service
providers deploying to MTU properties."
Teledex Corp.
Teledex, the world`s leading supplier of hotel guest room communication
products, has integrated Tut`s technology into the TeamNet telephone adjunct
that can easily upgrade any of their installed base of over 4.5 million
telephones already sitting in hotels. Teledex has also agreed to integrate
LongRun into the Company`s new line of communications equipment.
"For some time, we`ve incorporated Tut`s HomeRun technology in our
products with great satisfaction," said Dan Seale, President of Teledex. "It
makes perfect sense that Teledex would be one of the first partners in Tut`s
new expanded partner program to reiterate to customers that we deliver the
highest quality products and are integrated seamlessly with Tut`s family of
products."
Electricstreets.com
Electricstreets.com, a leading provider of turnkey residential Intranets,
offers Tut and its customers a complete and true plug-and-play MDU portal that
combine community, content, commerce, advertising, and management to
apartments, condominiums and master planned communities.
"Through our partnership with Tut, Electricstreets.com brings broadband
providers a `best-of-breed` value-added service to their existing product
offering, enabling them to compete strongly in a highly competitive
marketplace," said Larry Bouchard, President of Electricstreets.com.
Tut`s Connected Program is available to new members immediately. More
information about the program is available at http://www.tutsystems.com or by

BOSTON, Sept. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Tut Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: TUTS), a
leading provider of multi-service broadband systems for multi-tenant
residential and commercial buildings, today announced that its Expresso MDU
family of products is being used to provide high-speed Internet access and
services to exhibitors and the conference staff at the telecommunications
industry conference DSLcon `00 Fall, currently being held at the World Trade
Center in Boston through Wednesday, September 20th.

Said Peter Meade, managing partner of TeleResearch, Inc., and the
conference director of DSLcon, "At DSLcon, we take great pride in showcasing
cutting-edge DSL technologies and services of interest to telcos and Internet
service providers, application service providers, end-users and vendors.
Obviously, the high-bandwidth needs of our exhibitors place a severe burden on
the communications infrastructure at the Boston World Trade Center. There was
never any doubt in my mind but that Tut Systems could provide the kind of
cost-effective, reliable, secure, and easy-to-install solution to DSLcon`s
temporary networking needs in the exhibition hall."
Tut`s Expresso MDU product line incorporates Tut`s proprietary LongRun(TM)
technology to deploy data connectivity over existing telephone wiring in
virtually every building configuration. At DSLcon, Tut`s products are being
used to distribute SDSL Internet access and services from a central
point-of-presence or "POP" to each individual exhibition booth, offering
conference organizers an alternative to the installation of costly T-1 lines.
Moreover, the inclusion of Tut`s new Expresso SMS/OCS subscriber management
system and operation center software system allows for end-users to
self-provision tiered services and manage bandwidth needs in any increment,
upstream and downstream.
In addition to sponsoring and exhibiting at DSLcon, Tut Systems was
represented on Tuesday`s "MTU Panel" by Vice President of Marketing
Mark A. Carpenter, who spoke on the various approaches for delivering on the
promise of broadband access within commercial and residential multi-tenant
buildings, regardless of site, size or configuration.
"The choice of Tut Systems as DSLcon`s communications equipment provider
is a testament to the flexibility, reliability and cost-effectiveness of our
networking solutions," said Mark Carpenter. "The communications needs of the
individual booths within the exhibition hall represent a microcosm of the
challenges associated with multi-tenant environments such as apartment
complexes, hotels, university housing and commercial space. Considering that
DSLcon is the premier event for DSL equipment providers, we`re thrilled to
have been selected to demonstrate the capabilities of our product line for the
multi-tenant market."
