Die Papiere von Infineon kennen aktuell anscheinend nur einen Weg und der führt nach unten. Die Papiere fielen heute zeiweise bis auf 6,43 Euro und markierten damit ein neues 52-Wochen-Tief. Zum Handelsschluss konnte sich der Wert wieder leicht erholen und notierte mit -10,98 % bei 6,65 Euro. Händler begründen dies vor allem mit den erwarteten Zahlen des Konkurrenten Micron. Man erwartet, daß das Unternehmen weiter deutlich unter den niedrigen DRAM-Preisen zu leiden habe. Negativ auf den ganzen Sektor wirke die auch damit verbundene Reduzierung des Kurszieles für Micron durch Salomon Smith Barney. Die Analysten hatten das Kursziel von 30 Euro auf 20 Euro reduziert.aber infineon kommt sehr stakt wieder .bis ende Nowember 200%300% steigt .

Will mal keine Panik schürren, auch den gerade Investierten nicht zu nahe
treten, aber ich befürchte das es heute noch abwärts gehen wird,
zumindest kurzfristig.
Die Arbeitsmarktdaten aus Amerika, Auftragseingänge, zudem Anmerkungen der Notenbank werden eventuell
den Markt runter ziehen.
Dazu die Gewinnmitnahmen.
Für die zweite Handelshälfte könnte es dann wieder nach oben gehen?
Wer weiss es schon so genau?
Ich z.Z. jedenfalls nicht!

Infineon gefällt mir heute gar nicht, reagiert sehr nervös auf US-Futures, schaut immer gleich aus als wollen alle raus! Angst herrscht vor Vertrauen

Außerdem steht der NASDAQ-Index vor einer Entscheidung, wenn er über 903 Punkte wäre das sehr positiv und gibt Kaufsignale, wenn er das aber nicht schafft dann gehts vorerst wieder runter bis 800 od. 700 Punkte.

Wer hier investiert heute, der braucht starke Nerven.
Wehe der Nasdaq geht nach Handelsbeginn Richtung Süden,
dann geht`s schnell abwärts.
Ich glaube, dass es heute noch eher runter geht als rauf.
Beim Dax ist nämlich bei 3.060 die Luft nach oben sehr dünn!

Infineon: Cash-Position für aktuelle DRAM-Situation ausreichend

Der Münchner Chiphersteller Infineon gab am Donnerstag bekannt, dass man über genügend Cash verfüge, um die Probleme im Kerngeschäft des PC-Speichermarktes zu kompensieren.

Man sei in diesen schwierigen Zeiten sogar innerhalb der Erwartungen und werde sogar seine Cash-Position halten, so CEO Schumacher am Donnerstag. Infineon hatte, wie die Konkurrenz im Bereich der RAM-Chips durch niedrige Preise und der harten Konkurrenz Probleme, konnte aber weltweit den vierten Platz der Chiphersteller halten.

Aktuell verbucht die Infineon-Aktie im XETRA-Handel ein Minus von 1,00 Prozent auf 6,94 Euro.

IFX ist sehr stark Nasdaq abhängig, die NASDAQ schwank heute sehr stark und IFX schwank mit.
Wenn die Nasdaq die 900 Marke überschreitet dann explodiert IFX. Ihr werdets sehen! Heute um 14.30 Uhr war schon eine kleiner Vorgeschmack!

Ich glaube das die NASDAQ heute nochmal einen Versuch startet auf die 900 Punkte.
Allerdings glaube ich nicht das die 900 bereits heute schon überwunden werden können.
Aber wenn dann geht IFX mit! Ich hoffe das vor 20.00 Uhr noch was passiert.

Die aktuelle Situation ähnelt der von Anfang Semptember. Zudem haben wir jetzt seit Mitte August nur negative Wochen gesehen.

Der Trend ist wieder stark negativ, allerdings nicht so stark wie Anfang August.
Fazit: Ein weitere Erholung ist aus meiner Sicht möglich.

what they soon will be doing to retail sales ...
manufacturing ... housing? They`re going to drive
the economy into a tailspin, and stocks should keep
falling with it.
Look, stocks are getting killed. Today`s plunge
creamed all those who bought stocks just Wednesday
and Thursday when the Dow staged a meager rally.
Now, the sell orders will pile into New York from
Frankfurt, London, and Tokyo.

We fully expect to see the Dow plunge to the 7200
level and slice through to 6600, perhaps even lower.

Wer längerfristig in IFX unterwegs sein will, kann mit einem Einstieg auf jetztigem Niveau normalerweise nichts groß falschmachen.
Kurs/Bilanzwertverhältnis akt. bei 0,62!! Und das bei einem hightech-Wert.
Viel billscher wirds kaum noch.
Außer bei Weltuntergang oder so. Die Stimmung ist ja danach, die Realität sieht allerdings anders aus.
So demoralisiert wie mittlerweile auch schon Profis sind, sind wir jetzt wohl unten angelangt.
Also jetzt mutig sein und mit dem Kopf die Entscheidungen treffen.
Der Bauch ist mittlerweile als Ratgeber überfordert.

DRAM-Price Trend

While prices have been spiralling down without on low transaction volume, the spot market is showing sluggish sentiment. Although motherboard shipments keep MoM growth, PC shipments don`t necessarily show similar numbers - main reason is that PC OEMS are restocking the new model motherboards in the channels, preparing for peak season. Nevertheless, the spot markets are not being affected by the continuing growth rate of motherboard shipments, but rather they are dropping down because of tepid demand and accelerating DRAM output (as we mentioned last week).


Contract prices didn`t help spot prices.

2H Sep. contract prices were mostly flat over 1H of Sep. or just slightly up at the low range. It`s appears it is getting increasingly more difficult to raise contract prices with PC OEM companies. We expect that the contract price will similarly be difficult to rise in Oct. and could begin to trend flat or down slightly. As the trend seems to be downward rather than upward, spot prices should not get any stimulation from relatively higher contract prices.

Weak spot prices will probably bring down contract next month

Reversing our prediction on contract prices in Oct., it now appears that contract prices will be pulled down by a continuing drop in spot prices. However, tier 1 notebook companies` order forecasts remain strong until Nov., so some DDR 256Mb (16Mx16), should continue to remain at a good price (as long as forecasts don`t become revised down).

No replenishment demand before China`s long vacation

China has a long one week National Holiday coming up. As the China market is also anticipating downtrending prices, there is no replenishment inventory demand before the holiday arrives.

During this week, we probably will begin to see the accelerating inventory adjustment by DRAM makers, module makers, distributors and channel brokers/traders. Spot prices should continue to trade down, but we are not at the main price dropping stage yet.

2002/9/29 Intel, Elpida, PSC said to be considering DRAM ALLIANCE

According to sources, Intel and Taiwanese DRAM maker Powerchip Semiconductor Corporation (PSC) are planning a DRAM alliance with Elpida Memory, which is finalizing plans to acquire Mitsubishi Electric’s DRAM operation.

PSC’s cooperation with Elpida, a joint venture between NEC and Hitachi, would likely include technology transfer and contract manufacturing, while the two companies may also set up an investing relationship, share capacity and jointly develop technology.

Also, Intel is reportedly planning to collaborate with Elpida and PSC, with plans to use PSC’s two 12-inch fabs to manufacture high-end DRAM, increase its shareholding in PSC and transfer technology, reported the Economic Daily, a Chinese-language newspaper in Taiwan.

The report also indicated that Elpida plans to appoint United Microelectronics Corporation Japan’s (UMCJ) former president Yukio Sakamoto to be president of the new company. The international alliance is expected to be announced in Japan next week.

In the alliance, Intel will define the DRAM standards, while Elpida’s 12-inch fab in Hiroshima will be in charge of R&D, said the report, adding that PSC’s two 12-inch fabs would volume produce DRAM and its 8-inch fabs would contract-manufacture other products for Elpida and Intel.

Intel Taiwan stated that the report is market speculation and declined to comment on the matter.

PSC indicated that it is always seeking to expand its operations, which can include cooperation with international IDMs, but no definite plans have been decided upon at this time.

Experts believe that Intel may be prompted to support the Japanese venture out of its unwillingness to see the global DRAM market dominated by only two or three players.
