News vom 31.01.2000. Die Namen klingen vielversprechend.

      HOMEX - Perth
      -------------------------
Underwriting Agreement For The Exercise Of Options

On 30 January 2000, Spinifex Gold NL (the "Company") entered into an
agreement for the underwriting of the exercise of options ("Old
Options") which are due to expire at 5 pm (Perth time) today, Monday,
      31 January 2000.

There are 20,566,308 Old Options on issue and they are exercisable at
      20 cents each.

The underwriting agreement is with clients of European fund manager,
Investa AG, an entity in which Spinifex director, Mr H R Moser has an
interest. An underwriting fee of 6% of shortfall funds raised will be
      payable.

The closing market price of the Company`s shares was 19.5 cents on
Friday, 28 January 2000. In the three month period ended 28 January
2000, the highest and lowest market price of the Company`s shares has
been 20 cents and 10.5 cents respectively.

It is proposed that the funds raised from the exercise of the Old
Options will be used for continued exploration on the Company`s
highly prospective gold properties in Tanzania, particularly the high
grade Nyakafura resource as well as investment opportunities in
sectors other than the mineral sector. Consequently the Company will
seek shareholder approval to change its status from that of a "no
liability" company to that of a "limited liability" company, so as to
be able to make investments in non mineral sectors.
