Lalo to Acquire Major Karamurun Goldfields Project, Kazakhstan

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--Lalo Ventures Ltd. (LAL:TSXV) today announced it has signed an agreement to acquire up to an 80% interest in the Karamurun Goldfields project, located in the Tien Shan Gold Belt in Kyzylorda,Kazakhstan. Crews are being mobilized and drilling will commence this Spring.
The Tien Shan Gold Belt has proven one of the world`s richest gold districts and hosts a number of world class deposits, including the 17 million ounce Kumtor mine and the 140 million ounce Muruntau, the world`s largest open pit gold mine. These deposits are characterized by their tremendous size and have similar geology to the Karamurun Goldfields.

Discovered in the 1970`s by Soviet geologists,modern exploration since 2002 at Karamurun has outlined a 160 square kilometre target with numerous gold deposits and showings hosted in a calcareous sediment formation ranging from 85 to 150 metres thick. Detailed IP and magnetic geophysical surveys completed by Canadian specialists Geofix Consultants Ltd. indicate a massive intrusive beneath the central Karamurun Goldfields area, suggesting these deposits are actually the near surface appendages of a single, much larger underlying gold system.

"Karamurun has all the characteristics of a classic large scale Carlin-style sediment hosted gold deposit," according to Dr. Waldemar Karl Mueller, a geologist and one of the foremost experts on stratabound gold deposits, specifically in Central Asia. "The potential is vast and drilling in Spring is going to be very exciting."

Gold grades and widths are expected to increase with depth. A 2,800 metre diamond drilling program completed in 2003 and production from two small test open pits have proven geophysics to be an accurate predictor of gold mineralization at Karamurun,and have not yet defined the outer limits of the target, which remains open for expansion in all directions.

Sampling from the two small test open pits showed similarly improving gold grades and thicknesses with depth. Surface sampling from the Ammonit pit returned 5.3 metres grading 2.2 grams per tonne gold, while sampling in that same pit ten metres deeper returned 22 metres grading 3.21 grams per tonne gold and fifteen metres from surface returned 13 metres grading 16.6 grams per tonne. Similarly,surface sampling from the Promezhut pit returned 8.5 metres grading 1.4 grams per tonne gold, while sampling in that same pit ten metres deeper returned 16 metres grading 2.54 grams per tonne gold.

The Karamurun Goldfields project benefits from excellent infrastructure. The main railway link connecting Central Asia with Europe and Russia is 40 kilometres north in the regional centre of Sheele, an urban village. The project area is accessible year round via a well developed network of roads, and a high voltage power line, clean water pipe and exploration camp are already in place. Mining and exploration licenses cover 380 square kilometres and are valid to 2027.

Under the terms of the agreement with Modern Technologies LLP ("MT"), Lalo may earn up to a 80% interest in the Karamurun Goldfields project in a three stage agreement. To earn an initial 51% operating interest, in Period 1 ending October 31, 2004 Lalo must:

- Spend US $850,000 on exploration designed to delineate in excess of 500,000 ounces gold in the indicated resource category as confirmed by internationally recognized mining consultants; and

- Spend US $50,000 immediately and US $15,000 per month through October, 2004 to maintain existing infrastructure.

To earn an additional 14% for a total 65% interest,in Period 2 ending October 31, 2005 Lalo must:

- Spend US $2.5 million on further exploring, and at Lalo`s discretion, developing mining operations at Karamurun;

- Transfer 1.4 million fully paid ordinary shares and warrants to purchase an additional 1.4 million shares in the company at $0.85 per share for a two year period to the vendors; Pay US $200,000 immediately to the vendors; and

- Pay US $250,000 of the MT debt plus interest by December 31, 2004.

- Optionally repay the MT debt of US $4.1 million to earn an additional 15% interest, increasing Lalo`s interest in the Karamurun Goldfields project to 80%.

During Period 3 ending December 1, 2006, Lalo must:

- Spend US $3.0 million on further exploring, and at Lalo`s discretion, developing mining operations at Karamurun;

- Pay US $600,000 to the vendors and pay the outstanding balance of the MT debt. Paying this debt in Period 3 will earn an additional 10% interest, increasing Lalo`s interest in the Karamurun Goldfields project to 75%.

This agreement is subject to final approval from the Company`s Board of Directors pending completion of ongoing due diligence, and is also subject to Exchange approval.

In other news, Dr. Waldemar Karl Mueller has been appointed as Lalo Ventures` new Vice President, Exploration. Dr.Mueller has a PhD in Geology and is one of the world`s foremost experts on the stratabound gold deposits of Central Asia, having authored 26 scientific publications. He has over 30 years experience in all aspects of mineral exploration, evaluation,and production and is the former Chief Geologist of the Department of Geology, Exploration, and Mining in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Dr.Mueller is the Chairman and Managing Director of Kiintas Mining Management Pty Ltd., an expert mining consultancy based in Australia.

Lalo Ventures is committed to building value through the acquisition, exploration, and development of major gold resources in Central Asia. Phase 1 drill programs at three high quality gold projects are scheduled this Spring. At the Kyldoo project in Kyrgyzstan, gold grades range to 24 grams per tonne and favourable geology has been traced over a 20km strike. Concurrent drilling at the Savoyardy project, also in Kyrgyzstan, will test for extensions to the existing (Soviet calculated) 1.1 million ounce gold resource. Ich denke es ist an der Zeit sich nun auch bei LALO langsam einzudecken.

Die MK ist ja noch sehr gering! (ca. 8 Mio CAD)
Ich denke das bei Lalo auch die Aktienstruktur günstiger sein könnte als bei Tournigan. Wäre besser für raschere Kursgewinne!

Karamurun Explorationslizenz

Ein 80%iges Erwerbsrecht an diesem wohl aussichtsreichsten, ebenfalls zum Tien Shan Goldgürtel gehörigem Gebiet sicherte sich Lalo Ventures erst kürzlich.(25.2.2004). Im gleichen Atemzug wurde auch der Beginn der Bohrungen für das Frühjahr 2004 auf dieser Liegenschaft angekündigt. Die bisher bekannten Voruntersuchungen verliefen sehr viel versprechend. Die kanadischen Spezialisten, Geofix Consultants, führten ausführliche geomagnetische und geophysikalische Untersuchungen durch. Diese stellten fest das die Goldgehalte vermutlich mit zunehmender Tiefe zunehmen. Probebohrungen auf diesem Gebiet ergaben, für eine geplante Tagebaumine, beinahe sensationelle Goldgehalte von 4,25g pro Tonne über eine Dicke von 13m und 3,90 über 18m! Proben von der Oberfläche bis zu einer Tiefe von 5 Metern wiesen eine Mineralisierung von 2,2 g/t auf. In der selben Testabbaugrube wurden in einer Tiefe von 15m schon Gehalte von 16,6g/Tonne nachgewiesen. Auch in einer zweiten Testabbaugrube wurden Goldmineralisierungen zwischen 1,40g und 2,45g/Tonne festgestellt. Die Karamurun Goldfelder profitieren von einer hervorragenden Infrastruktur. Unweit eines Bahnanschlusses sind die Gebiete ganzjährig erreichbar. Stromversorgung, Trinkwasserleitung und Exploration Camp sind ebenfalls vorhanden. Die gesamte Minenlizenz erstreckt sich über 380 km² und sind gültig bis zum Jahre 2027.

Kyldoo Goldmineralisierung


Kyldoo Explorationslizenz:




Ursprünglich von sovietischen und kirgisischen staatlichen Gelogen und später von Kentor Gold durch "Trenching" vorexploriert, liegt das Explorationsgebiet nur 4 km südwestlich von der 5,6 Mio Unzen Makmal Mine. Dieses viel versprechende, 149 km² große, Gebiet weist eine ähnliche Mineralisierung auf wie die bekannten Minen Kumtor, Sukhoi Log und das "Minenmonster" Muruntau. Muruntau zählt zu den größten Goldlagerstätten weltweit. Mit geschätzten 140 Mio Unzen ist das von Newmont Mining kontrollierte Unternehmen ein echter Gigant. Lalo Ventures hat das Recht bis zu 70% an Kyldoo zu erwerben.



Savoyardy Explorationslizenz

124 km² groß, nur 3 km von diesem Gebiet entfernt, über der Grenze zu China, befindet sich die Savoyardy-Suu Mine. Die vorangegangenen Explorationsarbeiten ergaben ein Gesamtanzahl von über 1,1 Mio. Unzen Gold (260.000 Indicated, 850.000 Inferred). Weiters wird dem Deposit eine "einfache" Metallurgie bescheinigt, was sich in dem hohen Grad an freiem Gold niederschlägt (95%). Spitzenwerte bis zu 24g Gold pro Tonne Gestein lassen auf eine große ergiebige Lagerstätte schließen.

Management
Das Management setzt sich aus zwei Hauptakteuren zusammen. Zum einen der deutsche Geologe Klaus Eckhof, der schon mehrere Unternehmen zur Übernahme führte. Herr Eckhof ist der wohl prominenteste und erfolgreichste deutsche Geologe im internationalem Mining Biz. Zum anderen Damien Reynolds, auf den wir ganz besonders große Stücke halten. Gegenwärtig ist dieser CEO von Tournigan Gold, die den Newsletter Lesern von Goldzock.com nicht unbekannt sein dürfte.



GoldZock Meinung

Unserer Meinung nach ist das Karamurun Goldgebiet die Liegenschaft dem das Hauptinteresse zu widmen ist. Hier kann man durch die angekündigten Bohrungen, die im Frühjahr beginnen sollen, rasch mit greifbaren Ergebnissen rechnen. Das, bis die Karamurun Goldfelder in Produktion gehen, noch viele Bohrmeter "vergehen" werden, soll hier nicht verschwiegen werden. Aufgrund der Historie von Klaus Eckhof, dem deutschen Stargeologen, darf man anzunehmen das dies Lalo überhaupt nicht anstrebt. Die Unternehmensstrategie ist es wohl Karamurun zu einer Größe von über 1 Mio. Unzen der Kategorie "Indicated Resources" zu führen. Dann ist Lalo Ventures ein Übernahmekandidat für ein größeres Unternehmen. Davon würden auf jeden Fall alle Aktionäre profitieren können. Die Aktienstruktur der Firma scheint sehr günstig zu sein. Es ist kein spürbarer Verkaufsdruck zu spüren, was uns zu der Annahme veranlasst, das die Lalo Ventures Aktien sich in "starken Händen" befinden. Diese, sowohl in Kanada als auch in Europa beinahe gänzlich unbekannte Firma, könnte nach erfolgreichen Bohrungen dem Investor einen überdurchschnittlichen Return bescheren. Kurse von über 2,20 CAD würden uns nicht überraschen. Also ein klarer Kauf für den risikobewussten, spekulativen Goldinvestor.

Lalo Signs Karamurun Goldfields Project in Kazakhstan
Vancouver, June 24, 2004—Lalo Ventures Ltd. (LAL:TSXV) today announced it has completed due
diligence and has signed definitive agreements entitling it to acquire a 75 to 80% interest in the
Karamurun Goldfields project, located in the Tien Shan Gold Belt in Kyzylorda, Kazakhstan, subject to
final TSX Venture Exchange approval. Drilling of large scale gold targets is scheduled to commence
this summer.
The Tien Shan Gold Belt has proven to be one of the world’s richest gold regions, hosting a number of
world class deposits, including the 17 million ounce Kumtor mine and the 140 million ounce Muruntau,
the world’s largest open pit gold mine. Discovered in the 1970s by Soviet geologists, exploration since
2002 at Karamurun has outlined various gold showings and major gold target areas. To date, the
license owner has open-pit mined 80,000 tonnes of low grade, near surface gold from two of the
numerous steeply dipping zones within a wide area of intensely hydrothermally altered rock in the
central portion of the 264 square kilometre licence area.
This summer, Lalo intends to drill zones of intense alteration that have been mapped to the south and
east of the central Karamurun prospect at locations that are less structurally deformed. The first of
these is the Bargana prospect, located about 10 kilometres to the south of the central Karamurun
prospect. It consists of a large area of intense alteration measuring at least 450m long by 400m wide
that might extend over 1,000m long by 500m wide. Mineralization is centered on the crest and flanks
of an anticlinal structure that plunges south 20-30 degrees. Four trenches across the structure to
bedrock have yield samples ranging from 0.1 up to 4.2g/t of gold over 2 metre intervals. Further
evidence of gold mineralization has been indicated by numerous panning samples containing gold from
0.1 to 3.6 g per cubic metre. The axial plane of the anticline is intensely silicified and veined with
quartz-pyrite stringers parallel to the plane of the fold, as well as veins that crosscut this cleavage. It is
anticipated that gold grades at depth could be higher than in the leached surface cap rocks that are
highly oxidized and silicified in this large undrilled target area.
“Karamurun has characteristics of classic, large scale Carlin-like sediment hosted gold deposits,”
according to Dr. Waldemar Mueller, a PhD geologist with expertise in stratabound gold deposits,
especially in Central Asia. Separately, there is also potential for development of what could be
substantial placer gold deposits in a considerable volume of alluviums located west of the central area
of Karamurun. The random panning of historical holes drilled in alluvial sediments has indicated the
presence of gold in several holes with counted sightings between 0 and 400. Crude panning of one
10kg sample taken from recent trenching yielded 4 gold sites, warranting methodical sampling to be
followed by shallow RC drilling. Dr. Mueller has become Vice President-Exploration of Lalo, and shall
receive a share bonus in consideration for bringing the Karamurun opportunity to Lalo.

• Pay US$250,000 by December 31, 2004 for MT’s debts;
• Spend US$2.5 million beginning in December 2004 on further exploration and possible
development/operations;
• Provide US$1,216,649 for interest and fees owed by MT on its bank debt in three equal
installments over 12 months commencing January 2005;
• Pay US$200,000 on November 30, 2005 to the vendors; and
• Issue 700,000 shares of Lalo, along with warrants to purchase an additional 700,000 shares of
Lalo at $0.85 per share for two years, to the vendors.
• Optionally repay the MT bank debt of US$ 4.3 million during Period 2 to earn an additional
15% interest, increasing Lalo’s ownership of the project to 80%.
In order to earn/retain its full ownership interest of 75 to 80%, in Period 3 ending December 1, 2006,
Lalo must:
• Repay the MT bank debt over the course of Period 3 for a 75% interest if not optionally repaid
in Period 2 above;
• Spend US $3.0 million on further exploration and possible development/operations; and
• Pay US $600,000 to the vendors at the end of Period 3.
Thereafter, the parties shall fund the Karamurun project proportionately to their ownership
participatory interests. Any party failing to so fund shall repay its failed funding obligations plus 18% 3
interest out of its share of net profits to the party that funded its obligations. Most of Lalo’s Period 2
and Period 3 expenditures will be recoupable out of 30% or 50% of production profits before the
parties share proportionately in the balance of distributed production profits, subsequent to repayment
of debt to MT founders of US$1.1 million being repaid out of production profits.

der Haken ist, dass sich das Papier seit März 04 in einem Abwärtstrend befindet. Am 23. + 26.07. haben wir ca. +35% gesehen, wir befinden uns leicht oberhalb des Abwärtstrends, ich wäre aber noch vorsichtig von einem Ausbruch zu reden. Gestern jedenfalls konnte das nicht bestätigt werden: -3% in Kanada (ist wohl normal nach der "Minirally" )
Fundamental gibts hier nichts zu mekern, wenn man den diversen Berichten glaubt.
Der größte "Haken" ist für mich, dass die an der TSX gehandelt werden: hier sind Manipulationen an der Tagesordnung (siehe OTCBB od. Pink Sheets im Nachtbarland). Mich erinnert diese Geschichte stark an San Telmo Energy, wo wir auch, trotz Meganews und (glaubt man den Zahlen) klarer Unterbewertung aus dem Abwärtstrend nicht raus kommt.
Deshalb: Watchlist, bei klarem Ausbruch aus dem Abwärtstrend (klar heißt hier für mich mind. 5 %) zugreifen. Hier sollte man jedoch mehr als 1 mal täglich nachschauen, denn falls news über gute Qualität der Gesteinsproben kommt, sind hier schnell 50% in 4 Stunden drinn.

Ob man bei diesem Wert wirklich mit Charttechnik arbeiten kann? Viieleicht kann man sinnvollerweise noch Umsätze beobachten.

Ich nähere mich solchen Werten mit dem Blick auf Management/Liegenschaft(en)/ und MK (+ ggf. ausstehende Aktien).

Und da seh` ich hier ein ganz exquisites Chance/Risiko-Verhältnis.

.. ein kleiner Haken an der Sache ist sicher, daß 2.1 Mio neue Lalo-Aktien ausgegeben werden, um das Karamurun-Projekt zu finanzieren. Und genauso wird man auch bei jedem anderen geplanten Projekt vorgehen.

Damit tritt jedesmal eine Verwässerung ein. Ob es so zu traumhaften Kurssteigerungen kommen wird, ist fraglich.

ich würde mal sagen: da oftmals aus mangel an anderen zuverlässig zur Verfügung stehenden Informationen die charttechnik das einzige Beurteilungskriterium ist, wird vor allem bei so kleinen Werten sehr auf die Charttechnik geachtet. Beispiele:
- Biophan (OTCBB): nachdem die 200 - Tage - Linie vorletzte Woche durchbrochen wurde, gab es einen fundamental ungbegründeten Kurssturz (ich wage mal zu behaupten, dass ich mich bei Bio fundamental gesehen einigermaßen auskenne)
- San Telmo (OTCBB): Abwärtstrend mit 5 bis 8 Pivotpunkten, die wie am Schnürchen auf den Trendkanalbegrenzungen liegen.
Es ist mir klar, dass bei der marktenge mancher kleinen Werte geringe Umsätze hohe Volatilitäten verursachen können. Aber Volatilitätmuß nicht mit Zufall gleichbedeutend sein.

@Kingkong: weißt Du, wann die Kapitalerhöhung stattfinden soll? Zu welchem Kurs werden die neuen Scheinchen ausgegeben? Im Schmider-Interview vom 25.03.04 hat der Eckhoff was von 2,2 Mio Can$ frischem Kapital geredet. Damals war der Aktienkurs ca. bei 0,80 Can$, d.h. ca. 20% höher als heute. Bei 2,1 Mio neue Aktien würde der Aktienwert bei 10 Mio ausgegebenen Aktien um 20% verwässert. ISt die Kapitalerhöhung schon erfolgt od. bereits eingespeist?

"...Under the terms of the agreement with the license owner, Modern Technologies LLP (“MT”), Lalo
may earn a 75% to 80% interest in the Karamurun Goldfields project over three stages. To earn an
initial 51% operating interest, in Period 1 ending November 30, 2004, Lalo must:
• Spend US$850,000 on exploration designed to indicate major potential gold resources;
• Pay US $15,000 overhead per month through November 2004 (in addition to US$50,000
bonus); and
• Issue 1.4 million shares of Lalo, along with 1.4 million warrants to purchase shares of Lalo at
$0.85 per share for two years, to the vendors.
In order to retain this 51% and earn an additional 14% for a total 65% interest, in Period 2 ending
November, 30, 2005 Lalo must:
• Pay US$200,000 on December 1, 2004 to the vendors;
• Pay US$250,000 by December 31, 2004 for MT’s debts;
• Spend US$2.5 million beginning in December 2004 on further exploration and possible
development/operations;
• Provide US$1,216,649 for interest and fees owed by MT on its bank debt in three equal
installments over 12 months commencing January 2005;
• Pay US$200,000 on November 30, 2005 to the vendors; and
• Issue 700,000 shares of Lalo, along with warrants to purchase an additional 700,000 shares of
Lalo at $0.85 per share for two years, to the vendors."
