$3.1 Million Drill Program Planned On GP Energy`s South Cedar Creek Project

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Dec 3, 2005 (CCNMatthews via COMTEX) --
Gold Point Energy Corp. (TSX VENTURE:GPE)(FRANKFURT:WKN# AOHGQ1) is pleased to announce that it has closed an Exploration Agreement with Spyglass Cedar Creek, LP of San Antonio, Texas (" Spyglass" ) to jointly develop the South Cedar Creek Anticline Project in Harding County, South Dakota. A five well drill program costing approximately US $3.1 million is planned for the first half of 2006. The South Cedar Creek Project is strategically located in a region where historical production includes the Cedar Creek Anticline which has already produced one-half billion barrels of oil.

GP Energy`s partner on the project, Spyglass Cedar Creek LP, is run by veteran explorationist Karen Christensen. Ms. Christensen was formerly Exploration Manager for Venoco Inc. and Conoco`s Deep Water Gulf of Mexico and Nigerian exploration programs, and was instrumental in several giant (100MMBO plus) oil and gas discoveries including the King Kong and Ursa Fields.

As previously announced, Spyglass had agreed to pay GP Energy US $1.12 million in land costs, prospect fee and reimbursement for seismic. Closing has occerred and Spyglass has paid a total of US $600,000 in cash and issued a short term note for US $522,381. The note bears interest at the rate of 6% per annum and matures on January 27, 2006.

Under the terms of the Exploration Agreement GP Energy and Spyglass will drill five exploratory test wells on the 60,800 acre Project leasehold. GP Energy will have a 30% working interest in these wells Spyglass will have 70%. After project payout of the first five wells, and in any subsequent wells, GP Energy will have a 47.5% working interest and Spyglass will have 52.5%. Spyglass will be the operator of all wells drilled.

GP Energy is aggressively implementing its business strategy for 2005. Through the Company`s alliance with The Grosso Group new opportunities in the oil and gas sector are continuously being presented and reviewed. Other members of the Grosso Group include IMA Exploration Inc., Amera Resources Corporation and Golden Arrow Resources.

Plan to drill Q3 and Q4, 2005

Gold Point has completed the acquisition of a 100% interest in 61,500 acres and 135 miles of 3-D seismic in the South Cedar Creek project located in Harding County, South Dakota. This Project has an outstanding reserve potential and, if successful will be a "home run" for the Company.

The South Cedar Creek Project is an exploratory oil and gas project located along the southern extension of the 70 mile long Cedar Creek Anticline with potential for gas in the Cretaceous and oil in the Paleozoic sections. Using its proprietary seismic Gold Point has identified numerous undrilled closures that have potential for oil accumulations, as well as stratigraphic `bright spot` anomalies indicating prospective gas accumulations.

The primary objectives in the South Cedar Creek Project are the Shannon and Niobrara formations which have potential for gas; and the Muddy, Minnelusa and Red River formation which has potential for oil. The nearest gas production is from the Shannon formation at the West Short Pine Hills Field located 10 miles to the south and west of the Project leasehold which has produced 19.2 BCF of gas; the nearest oil production is from the Red River B formation at Buffalo Field two miles to the north which has produced 29.3 million barrels of oil.

The Project leasehold is 12 miles to the east of a 16-inch gas pipeline corridor that can provide access to North American gas markets. Gold Point plans to secure working interest partners for 62.5% of the Project and pursue the drilling of two shallow and two deep wells on the project lands during the latter half of 2005.

Texas

South Texas Gulf Coast

Up to 10 Projects in JV to Reenter/Recomplete Existing Wells
First Project reentry Complete & Awaiting Testing

GPE has identified a portfolio of up to ten recompletion/reentry projects in the prolific South Texas oil and gas province with potential of 10-25 billion cubic feet (Bcf) of gas equivalent. This area has historically been a major producer of gas and oil from multiple pay zones that was dominated by the Majors. Many projects that were too small for the majors have been left behind and are the focus of GPE`s joint venture with Mission River Systems of Corpus Christi, Texas, as the Operator.

Portland C-4A Well

The first well in the joint venture, the Portland C-4A well, has been successfully reentered and is currently awaiting testing and commencement of production. GPE has a 37.5% working interest in this well before payout and 22.5% after payout subject to a 69% net revenue interest.

The Portland well is a directional well that was drilled to 11,500` and originally produced 3.9 BCF gas and 300,000 barrels of condensate from the Vicksburg sand. An attempt was later made by Bass Brothers to complete to 10,179`. This attempt failed and left junk including a perforating gun in the hole creating a blockage at 9,700 feet. The pipeline tie-in and metering facility for this well is within 150 feet from the wellhead so the well can be put into production immediately once testing is completed.

Other Projects in the Texas JV
GPE is currently negotiating the terms of a Joint Venture with Progas and Mission River Systems as it applies to the nine additional projects. The Company is planning to retain a working interest before payout of greater than 40% in these wells. Net revenue interests will vary but are generally expected to be in the range of 70-75% Drilling and completion operations on the nine well program are expected to take approximately nine months.


Montana

Woody Creek, Montana

Plan to drill Q3 2005

Gold Point has entered into an agreement to purchase a 53.5% working interest in the Woody Creek Dome Oil Prospect consisting of 1,840 acres located in Big Horn County, Montana. The prospect is situated along a surface expressed anticlinal dome called the Woody Creek Dome. Previously drilled wells combined with newly-acquired seismic have defined a potential oil accumulation at 2,500 feet. A test well is planned for the third quarter of 2005.
